Had to get my eyeglasses readjusted. Called and made appointment. I was not told I would need to wear a mask at all times in building. They gave me a mask as I went in. No problem except I had to wear my mask when getting glasses adjusted . Glasses fit differently with mask on. I couldn't remove mask for adjustment. You cannot adjust correctly with mask on. Glasses still do not fit right. I will go elsewhere.

This is a really extraordinary optical shop. Paula gives amazing customer service and expertise. She advised me on a pair of lenses I had gotten set elsewhere (the shop I had come from had botched the job), and she gave me detailed guidance on how to have a conversation about replacing the lenses and why they weren't right. I ended up buying a pair of glasses from her and she spent about an hour with me helping with fit etc. of the lenses when I chose, and the glasses were perfect when I picked them up. I am also considering a secondary glasses purchase and she gave me terrific detailed advice as well as highly personalized service. When you have someone return your call at the end of the day when they can be clocking out and going home, and they spend 30 minutes on the phone with you to be of service, I say that their work and dedication should be congratulated. I went to have my son's eyeglasses repaired (the coating had rippled and the earpiece broke completely off. The eyeglasses were less than 6 months old). When I arrived, signed in and was called up by Paula, the office manager, she rudely told me that I must have an appointment to be seen and that they were currently working with clients who had made appointments. I looked in their store and saw one worker with one client. Paula did not have a client. Other than trying to have my son’s cheap eyeglasses (by manufacturer NOT CHEAP IN COST) repaired, I will NEVER return to the Kansas City Optical Shop.

Purchased a pair of glasses here and had a great experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of frames available at this location. It took about a couple weeks for me to get my glasses back which is standard. I appreciate the time that they took with me to make sure I got the right frames and lenses. I recommend this business! Thank you for the great service.

Rudest place ever. They basically attack you for wanting to stop by and look at their frames. They refuse to not have an entire HOUR for lunch. Don’t just stop by over your lunch break to see if they have frames that might fit your child because they will act like you are completely out of your mind for wanting to see if they have anything that may work.

I drove 40 miles after verifying the shop was open. I got there and staff at the front desk asked me if I had an appointment. I told them no, I just needed to get a lens put back in my moms glasses. They told me I needed to call and make an appointment. I went to my car to call and when the recording asked me to leave a message, I said I needed an appointment. No where in the message did it say an appointment was necessary. The recording said someone would get back to me shortly. It has been oner 24 hours and no one ever called me back. I ended up going somewhere else and had the glasses repaired. Very poor customer service. It only took the other shop a few minutes to fix the glasses and they did do at no charge.
