Jason is the best! I had been in sparse communication for some custom lenses on my Dita sunglasses. Once they opened back up Jason gave me a great price on some custom lenses and the transaction was super smooth! He kept me in the loop every step of the way, even with my mishap of shipping it incorrectly ????‍♂️ Once we got it sorted out he sent me pics of glasses with old lenses and then new lenses. He even did an adjustment with out me being there (I’m in the us.) got them back and am super impressed with the job. Thanks for everything Jason!

I have been dealing with ideal optical for years! I love their selection. They have great designer frames at great prices!!! Jas at the front desk is wonderful and Jason is knowledgable and helpful. Dr. Garcha get an eye exam for me as well as my children and was so professional and accommodating during this time. They are by appointment only now because of the pandemic but have been taking strict precautions with letting people in and have a hand sanitizing station and sanitize each eyeglass after trying them on. Just bought a pair of Gucci frames and have my eyes on some Celine ‘s. Can’t wait too get more!!!!

I could not have expected a better experience, even with all the glowing reviews. Coming from purchasing my last pair of glasses last year at Lenscrafters this is a wonderful change of pace. I was disappointed with Lenscrafters upselling and pushy salesman, but here, Jason actually DOWNSOLD me! Multiple times! Even going as far as to offer to adjust my current frames to fit better so I wouldn't have to buy new ones, even though my current pair was obviously not purchased here. Never again will that be the case, I'd make the trip from anywhere to come visit this establishment for all future purchases and will recommend all family and friends to do the same. Jason is transparent about his business practises and pricing, very personable, and makes it so obvious that he really cares about his field and each and every one of his clients. He let me try on a pair of glasses from his personal collection and I ended up going with them (ordered new from the manufacturer of course). I completely lost track of time on my first visit, chatting, and trying on glasses for about an hour and a half before deciding on a pair, Jason was helpful, patient and always had a recommendation waiting for whatever I was liking or disliking about what I was trying on. Their selection is vast and so is their price range, so this is a perfect place for anyone on any budget. All the lenses they offer are extremely high quality and it doesn't cost extra for coatings that should come standard (i.e glare protection). Once my frames came in and I was happy they even cut the lenses and made the glasses for me right there, 15 minutes. I can count on one hand how many times I've had this level of customer service in my entire life. This place is above and beyond and deserves as much business as possible. Perfect score across the board.

I came in looking for Sunglasses and it was Jason who had helped me out. Every other optical shop I’ve been to, I’ve felt like I’ve been forced to buy something and it was just not right. Jason however was not forceful at all and he talked about each brand and what’s fitments looked good on me and what didn’t. We both had the same taste which was just helpful towards me cause I didn’t know which one to buy. If your looking to buy a pair or sun glasses or even prescribed glasses then come to ideal optical. Late post. Got an awesome pair of Burberry frames from here about a year ago. I've lived in the area 10+ years and never came in to buy frames before but I'm super glad I did. Jason helped me find my frames but didnt hover like a salesperson. I appreciate being given some space to look around on my own as well. He helped me about 3 or so times after I received my frames to adjust them on my face properly. Each time he was super obliging and I genuinely felt like he wanted to make sure it was a perfect fit and to my full satisfaction, which I also appreciated. Honestly, if I’m late that I missed my appointment I can just leave and deal this with myself. Don’t try to keep me in the store and the same time keep blaming me and shamming me in front of others! And, please don’t let your employee tell me that my eyes are so terrible that he is surprised that I can even see, and then after the actual eye exam, told me that my eyes are totally fine! Absolutely top notch! Stumbled into this place when I took my little boy to Toys-R-us, so happy I did. They have all types of options, from really high end to everything else. All the people that work there are fantastic, I dealt with Jason and he was very very knowledgeable and took his time with me (I'm picky). I used to live downtown Toronto and I would usually go to the high end places in the financial district, recently moved to Oakville and I highly recommend this place if your are looking for nice glasses, friendly environment and most importantly great customer service. service used to be good in the old days helping you also get the best from your insurance coverage through what we all know, now with a new store front, more $, service nowhere near what it used to be, prices are higher, if there is an issue the smiley face seems to disappear and the attempts to help are not so genuine, overall not a great experience although it was a family store for years we are off to Costco simpler, cheaper avoid the neighbor across the street too they argue about any detail you mention with frames not fitting, lenses... and this blue light protection is a scam

The lady I spoke with over the phone was so pleasant that I had to check out their services. On getting there, the service was superb, prompt and precise. My test went well cos the optician knew what he was doing 100%. And I got my glasses within a week. This merchant goes beyond making customer FEEL happy with his/her purchase. You get a lesson of how to choose a pair of glass. You get warranty and this worked for me at least. After 3 years of wearing and brutally using my rayban pair of glass with nikon lenses, - for the first time in my life glasses survived. MOST IMPORTANT: I've seen with my own eyes that merchant is not looking for one time customer rip off, means pretend to fix something and know it from the begging that in few days it will fall apart again. She explained what needs to be done to properly fix it and where.

My daughter went here to get contact lenses. The eye doctor, Dr Garcha is the daughter of the optical store owner, which I found out later. This doctor has NO experience, she couldn't figure out why my daughter was having difficulty seeing through her contact lenses. The doctor's mother is not even certified (I checked) she is not an eye doctor or the Optician. The young man (a relative as well) is very rude and I had to argue to get my daughter's prescription and they never gave me a refund for contact lenses that my daughter can't see out of. Never coming back here, this is a shady store.

I checked the review before I chose this place. The review looked very good. But this was my worst eye exam experience. When I got there, the front desk lady asked me to provide my health card information. I asked her why she wanted that, because eye exam is not covered by OHIP and I pay myself. she insisted the doctor need that. I didn't want to argue with her so just provided my health card to her. My glasses is progressive. But when she checked it, she insisted it was not progressive. Then when the doctor did the exam, it seems he just wanted to finish the exam as quick as he can so he can continue with the next customer. he was very reluctant to answer any of my questions. I have eye exam once every one or two years. this was my worst experience.

Really bad service. It was a mistake to go there for an eye exam. This would be the first and last time I would be there. They charged me around 100 bucks for nothing. Since I have a high degree prescription, they don’t have proper eyeglasses for me. I decided to get my glasses somewhere else then they don’t provide me pupillary distance which is insane and unreasonable. Normally won’t give bad reviews this is the first leave the note here. Hope other customers won’t go through this like me. Do not go there!!!!! They put their own interest as a priority, instead of patients.

They are all Pushy, all of them talk a lot, they only want your cash or credit and they are very slow in processing insurance claims.They have poor quality eyeglasses that you have to spend money again just to fix minor issues.They will booked you an eye exam without your knowledge. They will push you to pay cash or credit before trying to call your insurance company.

I received the most comprehensive and thorough examination by Dr. Sharon who clearly has a passion for what she does, answered all my questions and provided rationale for her recommendations. Their products and services might be considered a little expensive compared to other providers but you definitely get your money's worth and insurance covers most of it anyways. Good doctors are usually let down by admin staff however in this case all were patient and eager to assist. Would definitely recommend to anyone seriously concerned about their eye health

I had a expensive pair of glasses that had both legs broken off and I didn't know it could be fixed, i visited other place that either couldn't fix it or was charging way too much. My review has been long overdue, due to multiple surgeries. My wife and I had visited Ideal Optical back in the late fall of 2017 as we both needed new glasses. From the moment we walked in through their front door, Jaz and Jason were both kind and helpful in every way possible, up until the time our glasses were ready. Once receiving our glasses we paid one last visit to Ideal Optical for sizing and prescription strengths. Jaz made sure we were absolutely content with our new glasses before walking out the front door. My wife cannot believe how many compliments she receives on her new Tiffany Glasses they put together for her. I always tell my wife how amazing her new glasses look on her. Our initial visit in Sep 2017 prompted my wife and I to complete a thorough eye exam with Dr Sharon. My wife's examination was completed in Nov 2017 after a cataract operation. Based on certain events, we approached Dr Sharon for a second opinion and we were not disappointed. I can say without any reservations that the feedback we got from Dr Sharon was far more revealing and informative than what was offered by the "specialists". As for my own eye exam (Dec 2107) - the bottom line is that I have been wearing the wrong prescription for a long time! There is a huge difference in my vision, now that I have the new prescription from Dr Sharon. Our earlier comments on great customer service (see below) hold. Thanks to Ideal Opticals, Dr. Sharon and Jas for their care and professionalism. Great customer service, prompt and friendly. I received very quick, nice, and helpful replies through Instagram. They helped me find the extremely cool pair of collector’s sunglasses that Tony Stark wore in Iron Man and they even provided the authentic pair of specially colored lenses from the film. They shipped the sunglasses to me in Chicago and I received them in just a few days. I highly recommend Ideal Optical!

I always have been reluctant to wear glasses since I was a child but my awesome expierence changed that once I met Jas and Ammie. I walked in to the store and was greeted with such a warm welcome that I felt such at ease. They were so hepful that in a matter of a short time i had the glasses that were meant for me. I was sat down and everything was explained to me in detail and i was not rushed. I felt so positive leaving the store that I actually could not believe i was excited on owning a pair of glasses. Contact lens procedure was clearly explained by front desk person and I am so thrilled with my eye exam and contact lens that I wear now.
