They have incredible frames. I bought mine 5 years ago and still routinely get compliments on them. But the icing on the cake was I had lost a nose piece a few weeks back and have since moved away from Halifax. I called and they were more than happy to send me replacements at no charge. Really, really incredible service.

I've been visiting frames for years and years...how I haven't found a pair in the last 7 until now is beyond me...one lunch hour a friend from work came with me to peruse Gaudet's eclectic, unique and ultra funky stash of one of a kind's to try and cease my belly aching. I just couldn't commit because I was heading to NYC in a few weeks and wanted to save myself for the fashion capital of the world (ok...maybe not the world...but close) And she looks at me and says so matter of factly..."What? Gaudet has brought New York to you!". And she was so right. Not only is their selection sensational from the almost ordinary to the ueber extraordinary...but my gal Sharon who has worked with me for a few months now goes over and above. A must stop for anyone who doesn't want to look like everyone else who's cursed with less-than-perfect vision, and wants to support a local business. Unlike any other business. There's something there for you. I promise.

I came here to get custom RX lenses in my non rx sunglasses. I was initially led here because the main chains were not comfortable making a set ( also they had like 3 colours). Gaudet not only carried the colour i wanted (purple) but also had a variety of shades! i get tons of compliments on my sunnies. I also don't think it took even 24 hours for them to make. exceptional service. I will not be going anywhere else as long as im in the HRM

Professionalism to the utmost level, compassion and perseverance! I have difficult eyes to fit with lens, even with the most precise ones, Zeiss Progressive Individual. Janel and Doug were phenomenal in getting me to see the best I've ever experienced. They designed excellent lens for my needs, and were patient and so thorough, demonstrating both superb expertise and sensitive humanity. My vision-related headaches are completely gone, and my shoulders and neck no longer ache due to computer work, driving, reading, or attending concerts. Came in to get my glasses fixed up since they had a broken nub and a loose screw. I was greeted very kindly and everything was efficiently done in no time at all! The cost of repair was free of charge and they didn't even question if I had gotten my frames from them (which I had). Great place to visit even if you aren't looking for a new pair of glasses, chill environment with sweet music and awesome funky colors! You got it Gaudet!

I purchased glasses from these folks two years ago (great selection to choose from). Recently I had the misfortune to break the frames into two pieces (across the front.) In nine days, they had gone from my home in New Brunswick, got repaired, and returned. Pretty cool. Oh, and there was no charge for the work. Yes, I'm 100% sure that I'll be going there for my next pair of glasses. And the bonus is buying from a smaller locally owned shop.

Great group of people here! came here on Monday to get a new pair of glasses as i didnt like the glasses lenscrafters sold me - made me look almost like bubbles! I was greeted kindly, offered much slimmer sleeker frames, and glasses that were not only more stylish on me, but also about $350 less than the ones that lens crafters made. Best part? Got the glasses literally 2 days later! Can't go wrong for that! I'll definitely be a return customer! Thanks again guys!

I live in Edmonton & so when I visit N.S. I make it one of the 'go to' places I must visit (just being in the establishment is an experience in creativity- eye-popping comes to mind) I am now ordering new lens from afar with my updated prescription & had to rave review this store.

My daughter's glass frame broke - no fault on her part and Gaudet took a look at the frame and determined that the solder had let go and as the frame had a 2 year warranty (and it was still under warranty) they ordered her another frame at no charge. AWESOME customer service. They stand by their products.

I have no doubt that they offer a decent and unique product based on the positive reviews, but customer service could use an upgrade.I was just greeted at the door by a visibly stressed out lady who told me that I need to make an appointment and they’re all booked up. That’s fine in itself, but the way she said it was like a border control officer who just denied my entry into Mexico.

Super friendly and knowledgeable people. They helped me when my fave glasses split in 2 right at the nose piece. I thought they were done with, but they kept them overnight and put a screw in the middle and for $25 fixed them and I now have them back. They were $800 glasses so I was happy to not have lost use of them. I will definitely go to them when I need a new pair.

They just close whenever they want. You should call ahead to make sure they’ll actually be there, especially on a Friday.
