Great experience, awesome service. I went in to get contacts a day before vacation, but they had to order them and it would take 1-2 weeks for them to come in. The owner gave my eyes a quick check (free of charge) and gave me a loaner pair to get me through vacation until my years supply came in. Can't say the same for my experience at Hakim Optical across the street.

Update: I got my glasses they are great again the staff was awesome and i was very happy to have them and my sunglasses The staff here was super friendly and helpful, I wasn't rushed I tried on a lot of glasses was a great experience paid in full was told they would take 2 weeks to get. Well I called and was asked if I was sure this was the right place I ordered from .... finally she found my order but its not ready will be longer then they said. I was not happy about I been waiting for my sunglasses mostly as someone stole my other ones and its been very sunny so at this point im sitting on hold waiting for a response over 10 mins

It also helped that they had so many frames to try, best selection I found after checking out the standard places like Zehrs, Lenscrafters and WalMart. I placed my order on a Monday and had the 2 pairs I ordered in my hands 2 days later on Wednesday. I've already recommended them to a handful of people and will continue to do so. Eye doctor was great. Store said over the phone that they would give me the PD numbers without issue or extra charge. They were also shocked I would even ask that question. After my eye appointment I requested the PD numbers. They are an extra charge... The eye glasses were also $300 plus. Online you can get them for much much cheaper FYI.

I went somewhere else first, and got shuffled along by the optician there pretty quickly, not really feeling any pair I'd tried on. He gave me a quote and tried to upsell me on lenses. I left with that quote and wasn't feeling it. Whipped out my phone, and checked for opticals in town -- I read the reviews for Eyeview and decided to come check it out. This is a terrific location. The very helpful woman there (I'm sorry that I've forgotten your name!) saw that I had no clue what to try, and spent 40 minutes finding me something to suit me. With no prompting at all from me, she picked out pairs that I would've tried on my own, and a few I wouldn't have. I could not have been happier with the service and the knowledge showcased by these people. I also had a few special concerns with my prescription, all of which were handled very comfortably and smartly by the staff without batting an eye. In total, I think you've earned a customer for life. Cheers.

The worst glasses I have ever owned, no adjustment to fit my face, and to top it off, although I paid for bi focals, there is no difference in the lenses where bifocal is supposed to be. Ripped off, and now I have a 2 year wait until I can get another pair.

I was looking for a place to buy new glasses and came across them. I was pleasantly surprised with the service. I tried on several frames but didn't find the pair I had tried on elsewhere. The gentleman that was assisting me said he could look them up. I didn't have the part #, but he found them. I confirmed the part the part # the next day and he said they could be ordered. Two weeks later I have my new glasses and everything looks amazing. My old glasses never made things as clear as these ones do. Granted it wasn't the best day for me and I belonged in bed and not shopping for glasses but my mom was purchasing a gift at John Anthony's (reputable jeweler if in the market) and suggested I check it out she had heard good things. Didn't stay long felt like I was imposing on him and I wasn't worth his time. Once I told him i still needed an eye exam his demeanor change. Personality adjustment buddy optical stores are a dime a dozen and we dont all look like a million dollars every day. I came in wanting to get something different and within the first 10 minutes we narrowed it down to the two that we would eventually buy. If you're in the market for a new pair (or pairs!) of glasses, I would recommend starting here because you will more than likely come out with a great pair for far less than you were expecting to spend.

She immediately starts me off with frames that she personally selects for me, and helps me find the perfect choice - patiently, I might add. Many times there are at least 20 frames I have tried on! As well, it's the little extras make this business stand out from all the rest - a broken nose clip on sunglasses, extra tint - things that a chain store would charge 'through the nose'! Absolutely amazing experience! All of the staff were very accommodating throughout the whole process. I was caught in a bit of a tight spot as I needed new glasses a couple of days before I left for a trip. Staff was able to get me my lenses the next day. They didn't have the frames in the colour I wanted so they ordered them but gave me a "loaner" set of frames in a different colour in the meantime. Enjoyed my experience so much and prices were so competitive that I opted for a pair of sunglasses as well. Also ordered the exact frames, style and colour that I wanted. Had to order twice because we picked the wrong ones the first time but made sure I had the ones I wanted. In the end, I paid less for a new pair of designer glasses and brand name sunglasses than my girlfriend paid for her glasses at LensCrafters. Would highly recommend and buy from here again!

By far the WORST experience I have ever had purchasing glasses. I purchased three frames; two regular, and one pair of sunglasses. When I arrived to pick them up, the associate who was adjusting one of the regular pairs, ended up damaging the lenses and had to be sent back. I tried on the second regular pair and the instant my eyes looked through the lenses I knew something was wrong. Everything had a fish eye effect, was very blurry, and immediately began hurting my eyes and giving me a headache. Two associates repeatedly assured me this was an ADJUSTMENT PERIOD and it would become better over time. I wore these glasses for FIVE DAYS, trusting that this was an adjustment period as the associates were claiming. I ended up having to call in sick to work because the headaches from the distortion were so bad, and when I did go into work I was making mistakes left and right BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE. I finally went back in... low and behold THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE LENSES. I could not believe that they sent me away with such blurred vision and kept pushing this "adjustment period" when the lenses were to blame in the end. A proper optometrist would not send a customer away if they were complaining of worsened vision. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. They then sent that pair away to get fixed. Call up to see the progress and I'm told the lenses they ordered in were the wrong prescription. Seriously?! The lenses on this pair of glasses were changed THREE TIMES. Never again will I shop here and I will deter others away. I'd much rather pay a higher cost at a place like LensCrafters and receive quality products and services than deal with this crap. EDIT: An associate saw this review and called me up to discuss it. She still kept insisting it was an adjustment period and did not own up to their mistakes, even though when I brought them back after the five days I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A PROBLEM and my vision was completely fine after it was fixed. Clearly this adjustment period, in this situation anyway, was bogus YET she is still insisting on it and not admitting to a fault on their end. On top of it, I was offered a free pair of glasses in the future - likely as an incentive to take this post down. Yeah, not happening.

They take the time to get to know you and make sure you are happy with your selection! Scam Scam I recommend a friend after getting my glasses their, it’s was disappointing what they did, my friend and his wife did eye exam and paid them coz the optician don’t to deal with claim directly and that totally ok. his wife didn’t need glasses but the friend ordered one from them and put to his claim directly payable to them. After he left he call the insurance provider to claim the eye exam and he’s shocked to be informed that their is two prescription glasses claim that has been made yesterday (they put earlier date for the claim) and told he’s provider to put and on hold and call the eyeview optical.. they started look for excuses blah blah it’s a mistake What a scam, am warning ⚠️ any one when their or wanna go go their be aware of this scam talk to your provider don’t wait until it’s too late... and repor this kind of fraud to the authorities... I don’t know how many people were scam .... it’s unfortunately to have this kind people doing business in our community

I have used this optometrist and store for over 10 years. The receptionist is friendly. The doctors have changed throughout the years but are competent. My last order took a couple tries to get right but eventually received the right order. My complaint is in regards to having my eyes measured for contact and having that information withheld from me so that I can't order from other avenues such as online or discount stores. I have since moved from kitchener and called today to have my own prescription and eye measurements sent to me. I'm told they can fax my prescription not email, not mail. I could pick up in person. But as I no longer live in that city, is impossible. And under no question could they release my measurements. Infact the last time I was in, I took a picture with my phone of the measurements and the man insisted I delete the picture. So... Take it from there if you choose to take your business there.

My mom and I have been getting our glasses here for over 10 years. Shopping for glasses can sometimes be a bit stressful, but Christine, Gurmit and the rest of the Eyeview Optical team make the entire process such a breeze. I highly recommend them to everyone. I was able to get two pairs of high quality glasses for less than the cost of a single pair of glasses at most other optical retailers. I'm super picky with the comfort and fit of my glasses and while most other places would probably just dismiss me as a customer, Gurmit and Christine really listen to my concerns and in one instance even replaced a new pair of glasses that just wasn't fitting right for me. The most recent time I was there I chose 2 pairs of glasses. After going home I changed my mind about one of them so I called to request a change of the glasses. They asked me to come in and see a pair they just received that they thought would be perfect for me.They know my style so well. I loved their suggestion and immediately chose them as my 2nd pair. I came in asking for pair of frames for my teen son which they didn't carry in stock, they found them and ordered for me. Many people I know have gone here. I was told to ask for one of the two lady owners who my mom never stops talking about whenever the topic of glasses comes up. Not needing glasses yet but getting ice cream with the fam I made a quick pit stop. I will stick to my current location. Only one employee working and after a few questions I was quickly made to feel like I was bothering and wasting his time. Im not one to write reviews but this guy got under my skin with his arrogance and was too bad because they looked like they had a larger selection than where I shop now that may have been worth checking out.

I had been looking for frames for a few months and just couldn't find the right ones. Sometimes you just need to go somewhere with great selection and helpful service. I found a frame I liked but I had been looking for tortoise shell and I was told that was do-able! I was told it might be a bit of a wait for the custom frames. I thought the time-line was very reasonable compared to previous wait times elsewhere. Well they came in a lot sooner than I expected. When I went in the staff was just as helpful as when I shopped there originally. I highly recommend them!

I came here after reading multiple great reviews about service, selection, and price. I came in, had a great time, the staff were helpful but not pushy, and ended up ordering 3 pairs of glasses! Only $360 (non-designer frames). I'm told it will be 7-10 days for my glasses to come in and that I will get a call when they are done. 14 days later I call in and, low and behold, my glasses were done. Well, 2 pairs were. The third was on back order. No problem. I come in to pick out new frames and pick up my new ones, still pleased and with no issues. It will be 7-10 days for my new glasses! 14 days later, I call. They aren't in. They will call me when they are. A week later, I call again. They will look into it for me. 4 days later I get a call, saying they had been sent but without my name on them so had been sold to another person. I'm now 2 months into this, still missing my third frame. They will call me when it's in and fixed. A week and a half later I call in. They aren't here. A week after that, I call and they are finished. 2 months and two weeks after I ordered them. There were only very basic apologies, they dropped the ball multiple times on communicating with me. I'm not a hard person to please and used to work in retail so I understand. But 2 and a half months for glasses that should have been ready in less than 2 weeks is not what I would call great customer service.

Probably the easiest eye exam / purchase I've ever made. The optometrist was really nice and explained everything he was doing and was really pleasant to deal with. The girls there are superstars.
