A family business, with a rich heritage of professional eye care in Calgary. The owner is not just well versed in vision, but has Masters' degrees in Design. The staff is top notch. They know vision, optics, eye wear, fit and style like no one else, here in Calgary. Since I first discovered them, I have gone no where else for many, many years, nor can I ever imagine doing so.

I damaged my glasses few days ago and the legs of the frame were bending outwards at a large angle so it wouldn't stay on my nose. I was nervous when I contacted the store because I know many stores won't do repair work on glasses that's not sold by them (I bought mine while travelling abroad). After a quick chat over the email, I visited the store last week. The staffs were very friendly and professional and the store felt welcoming and safe. Not only they did a great job on repairing my glasses frame, they were kind enough to do it for free which is just amazing. They also have a wide selection of frames and lenses. Would highly recommend anyone who's out shopping for a pair (or pairs!).

They breath through that business and it is so inspiring to see their personality in every detail - from the sunglasses collection to the decor details. Recently we have used their optometrist for an eye exam for our one year old son. She was amazing and our son enjoyed the process very much. This says a lot about the place.

Through an unfortunate accident, the glasses that I had purchased from Chinook Optical, a year ago, broke. I have had excellent experiences at Chinook Optical and this most recent one was no different. Chinook Optical actually replaced my frames, at no additional charge, with a slightly more expensive pair, as they did not have a copy of my original frames in stock. Within an hour Chinook Optical had placed my original lenses within the new frame, essentially giving me a new pair of glasses, at no additional charge. I cannot emphasize how seriously the staff takes customer service. If you need to buy glasses, or test your vision, look no further.

We have been purchasing glasses here for our daughter here since she was 2 years old after being diagnosed with cataract and a lazy eye. During all the years of patching, changing eye prescriptions, trials, bent and damaged glasses, Chinook Optical has been a significantly important part of our journey. Their service has been exceptional every time. They are patient, understanding and solution minded. Their glasses selection for kids is also one of the best in the city and we were very excited to find them after struggling to find frames in many other stores.
