****updating july 28th**** Gross. My sushi today was soggy and greasy, I ordered the spicy shrimp and mango burrito which came with slimy cucumber and NO mango. The worst quality sushi ever. I’m not sure what happened. Now the wait time can be long especially at busy times but this is nothing against the staff there. You can’t expect one person to cover all the in store orders, skip the dishes orders, phone orders, AND pre make rolls for people to pick up. The sushi has always been delicious and very high standards especially compared to other sushi shops. Make sure you call or order ahead of time!!

Little bit of a background on me, I have a culinary background and consifer myself a connoisseur. I have been to Japan and have had everything from 15$ suishi to 150$ sushi. So this opinion comes from experience. I've come here twice now and both times it have been medicore. The first time I came here I ordered the karage "burger", 2 large rolls and their chocolate dessert bomb. The karage was more batter than chicken, overcooked and very skimpy portion, eating the sandwhich was akin to eating stale bread for how dry it was. The rolls were equally pathetic with fsr to much seasame and poorly wrapped rolls with poor quality ingredients. The dessert was so unpalatable, dry, and bland I had to pitch it. It was also incredibly over priced with those four items coming to 45$. Don't get me wrong I am okay with payig good money for good food, this however was not good. I decided to give them a second chance and came again today with a similar experience. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with pork, but they gave me shrimp instead. Aside from that blunder it was only a step above instant ramen with cheap undercooked noodles, a overly salty broth that they tried to fix by adding cayene pepper which doesn't belong in a tonkotsu, and a boiled egg over a traditional marinated one. It was sad, and tasted pretty awful. The shrimp atleast was half decent, though a tad over cooked it was passable. Ontop of the ramen I ordered a basic syake hosomaki, which would have been better if they hadn't destroyed it with seasame. It was also cross contaminated with wasabi from the workers gloves. I don't mind wasabi but the fact is this shouldnt happen as it tells me there gloves are not regularly changed. Honestly this is the saddest sushi experience I've ever had. Things are overpriced for the quality offered and all the staff members I encountered do not even know how to pronounce there menu items. Encountered with the proper pronounciation they had no idea what I was asking for. If you want sushi you are better off driving to Ottawa for some. With the cost of gas even cheap sushi would be better bang for your buck than this rubbish.

I love getting sushi from here, as it's one of the only - if not THE only - sushi place left. It's prepared fairly well, and tastes great -- when it's fresh. Whenever I order rolls directly from the register, I expect the sushi to be made fresh, not picked from the grab and go section, which has been sitting there for a while (and it's fairly easy to tell by taste and just looking at it, if it has or hasn't). If I'm going to be spending 30$ on 3 rolls, I expect it to be of the best possible quality. EDIT: Seems their prices have gone up as well. $8 for a 5 piece roll is a little steep, especially when you consider sushi is technically considered fast food.

Disappointing and slow service. I stopped in for a simple meal of a poke bowl and a maki role and I waited well over 20 mins for food. Only one staff member who loved so slowly. I understand that we are in a pandemic but there should be some sort of urgency when making food for people. To boot the food was mediocre at best. Next time I am in Cornwall I’ll just go across the street to McDonald’s where I won’t be charged an arm and a leg for food I wouldn’t give to my dogs

Being tanned and knowing that my girlfriend has been waiting for me in the car for a long time j said yes to finally go to eat. What's the point of pre-ordering and prepaying if customers ever wait 45 minutes when they're there? Limit orders or have more staff to meet pickup hours or send an automated text or message to warn that delays may be expected. I have read lots of other comments of the same kind so change your way of doing things to provide better service. Also, if the delay is more than 30 minutes notify your customers so that they can go and do something else rather than just waiting like leeks. The sushi is delicious that's why I put 2 stars and not 1, but it was officially my last visit to this branch. shame as the staff are super friendly and seem to be working hard but since the deadline is ridiculous and i have other things to do than wait i will not be going back. La première fois, j'ai commandé en ligne en plus d'avoir prépayé en ligne à 13h00 pour que mes sushis soient prêts le soir même à 18h00. Je me présente à 18h00 et l'on me dit que ma commande n'est pas prête et que je dois attendre (endroit ou au moins 4 autres clients attendent également). J'ai finalement eu ma commande à 18h52 (52 minutes d'attente pour une commande précommandée et payée d'avance... nice!). J'y suis retourné environ 2 mois plus tard avec une commande encore une fois effectuée en ligne et prépayée en ligne (un lundi soir cette fois-ci comparativement à un vendredi la dernière fois). Commande passée à 15h00 pour en prendre possession à 19h40 (le restaurant ferme à 20h00) donc je me suis dit que j'allais attendre au maximum 20 minutes si jamais ils ont du retard. Eh ben non, j'ai eu ma commande à 20h21 encore une fois prêt de 45 minutes d'attente.... Comble de malheur, 25 minutes après que je sois placé dans la zone d'attente des commandes on me dit qu'il ne reste plus de homard pour mes sushis tacos au homard et qu'on va remplacer le tout par du crabe, mais pour le même prix... Étant tanné et sachant que ma blonde m'attend dans la voiture depuis un bon bout j'ai dit oui pour enfin aller manger. Quel est le point de précommander et de prépayer si jamais les clients attendent 45 minutes une fois sur place? Limiter les commandes ou ayez plus de staff pour respecter les heures de ''pickup'' ou envoyer un texto ou message automatisé pour avertir que des délais sont possiblement à prévoir. J'ai lu pleins d'autres commentaires du même genre donc changer votre façon de faire pour offrir un meilleur service. Aussi, si le délais est plus de 30 minutes aviser vos clients pour qu'il puisse aller faire autre chose plutôt que l'on reste à attendre comme des poireaux. Les sushis sont délicieux c'est pour cette raison que je met 2 étoiles et non 1, mais c'était officiellement ma dernière visite dans cette succursale. dommage car le personnel est super sympathique et semble travaillé fort, mais comme le délais est ridicule et que j'ai d'autre chose à faire que d'attendre, je n'y retournerai pas.

I had wonderful experience last night, the staff were super friendly and were going above and beyond with what they had. Hence the 5 stars. Unfortunately the manager had up and quit, leaving the staff short and left them unprepared for the weekend. This wasn't my first visit to the Sushi shop, however everything that was in the bunker was in good condition and tasted fresh with a good variety of rolls. The Nigiri Sushi was delicious. A great little place for Cornwall to get it's sushi fix that doesn't over fill the rolls with panko. Thank you again for the wonderful service guys!

absolutely outstanding, if you have never eaten sushi i highly recommend trying it from here, me being not being to fussy for raw fish ordered there smoked chicken sushi it was absolutely amazing and thatch saying a lot since i don't like seaweed all that much. the staff is very kind and you are able to somewhat customize the sushi to your liking, you get to watch as they prepare your food with fresh produce and they offer to give you a bag. as well if you have never used chopsticks for 2 dollars you can buy beginners chopsticks which are colorful and look easy enough to use. (i would not know as i am able to use chopsticks) as for the food it was great! my meal was the grilled chicken minus the avocado with a rice bowl as well. the rice was amazing an it was especially good when dipped into the soy a sauce. the sushi was great! the seaweed and white rise stuck together and when you bite into it all the flavors mix and are so good. i was a bit worried of salmonella poisoning because i was eating chicken where they would prepare raw fish as well but all has gone well! i'm extremely exited to order from here again!

The items tasted like they were made yesterday, all the hot food was cold despite me being there early for pickup and the fish (shrimp in particular) was rancid. Several items were taken from the pre-packaged area and not made fresh. Do not recommend. Worst Sushi ever. This is a total ripoff. Do not spend your money here unless you don't know what even mediocre real sushi is. Even the service rude. Spoons are plastic. Short weird chopsticks, too much mayo, not fresh anything, seaweed soggy, tastes like it was made several days ago. Yuck. Never again. I'm unhappy.

Can't comment on the sushi but the tapioca bubbles in the bubble tea had the same texture as cardboard that spent the night in the rain and then was put in a toaster to quickly dry. Just avoid the bubble tea if you come here...

I ordered here because the actual sushi restaurant in town was closed. I ordered online, hoping to "skip the line". I showed up when the order said it would be ready and still had to wait 10+ minutes for my order after arriving. I felt bad for the girl working there, she was alone during the lunch hour, working cash and making the orders, so I don't blame her. She was very sweet and gave me a complimentary spring roll. However, she did not seem very informed of the menu. I ordered 3 orders of salmon sashimi (2 pieces per order) to which she had to substitute smoked salmon because there was no regular salmon at noon hour...and wrongfully prepared them as nigiri and only gave me 3 pieces...(there should have been 6 in total, 3 orders x 2 pieces each). The nigiri was a horribly prepared clump of rice and really, how hard is that to make. The rolls were sloppy and loose... the shrimp tempura didn't come with the right sauce and she forgot the sauce I ordered as an extra. Pathetic compared to what you you would get in an actual sushi restaurant for basically the same price. Waste of money, disappointing lunch

This was my first visit here, the sushi was really good but I'm not satisfied with the service that I got. When I placed my order they warned me it would be 50 minutes, which I appreciated knowing in advance. However, when I arrived my order was not even started, they started it after I paid. While waiting, another customer picked up his order and got offered so many options to go along with his order, he even got a sample of every sauce they have. He didn't even seem interested but said sure, why not, he ended up leaving with 6 sauces. He got an excellent service! Then, when time came to collect my sushis, I got nothing offered. I asked if I could try some of the sauces they have too and they said no. They said the man got them because he had a loooooot of sushis. I saw his order, my order was bigger. Then, the woman said that what she's trying to explain to me is that it's because his sushis go with those sauces. They gave me 2 soya sauces for 3 people and when I asked for more they said that I'm asking for too much sauce. Most of my sushis were fried, at other places I also get some sort of mayo sauce with those ones. They finally accepted to give me a sesame one but said next time it would cost me. Honestly, i'm done with this place, it would be nice to not have to share my soya sauce with my friend. After spending 50$ of sushis, waiting over an hour, having a hard time getting at least one sauce for each person and feeling like I wasn't getting the same service as another, no thanks. There are other sushi places. It's too bad because the sushis were very good.

So many amazing choices of sushi!!! I wanted to try everything but I would be broke if that was the case. The sushi burgers looked amazing and I loved the service all smiles and good greetings. Disappointing they use the chicken from the thai place for the Karaage chicken, but overall their sushi is great, the ramen is pretty good, and the price is decent. It also gets 5 stars for being literally the only sushi shop around. So i'll take what I can get.
