Went to Home Depot today, I purchased some paint the other day and it’s not the colour that I wanted. I understand that there is no return policy on paint. I went there to see if they could lighten it up, I went directly to the paint department. No one was around, but there were 3 cashiers that were visible at the checkouts. They were busy having conversations with one another and hugging another person. They did make eye contact with me but did nothing. After waiting in the department for 15 minutes I went customer service. They paged someone to finally help me to basically say that there was nothing that they would do. Home Depot has to be worst place for customer service. They have no care when it comes to paying attention to customers.

As a Windsorite used to dealing with the Windsor Home Depot stores, I was SHOCKED AND AMAZED at the Chatham Home Depot Location! O M G!! The people working there were HELPFUL, SMILING and COURTEOUS and showed ACTUAL INTEREST IN OUR QUESTIONS! We were asked "May I help you?" by at the very least 5 different people. Usually when we need someone to help us at the Windsor locations it is a serious hunt to find someone who won't brush you off and give you attitude for daring to ask something. I am not exaggerating when I say my husband and I were seriously almost in shock upon discovering that bad service at Home Depot was not necessarily the norm and we discussed it in awe. We are "power users" lol of Home Depot and have completely renovated 2 homes now spending tens of thousands at the Home Depot stores in Windsor and our visit to Chatham Home Depot blew our minds. We will be making the drive to Chatham in future!

Went to buy some dimensional lumber, wanted treated but the area where that was was very poorly signed, and dark hard to see, could not find 2x8 8 ft, carts and lumber every which way, really not well kept. So I went in to the standard lumber aisle, once again carts with sheet goods and other lumber helter-skelter, a tow motor in mid aisle unattended, very hard to read the signs showing where the 2x8's where, what was left were the dregs, looked like there had been a big sale and everyone left without clean up. Really gone down hill since I was there in the spring for fence boards.

My experience at the chatham store was excellent, the staff not only knew what I wanted, they walked me to the aisle that it was located in, and the guy helping me even found me my product on sale at the clearance table! Maybe the lady who had a problem with plumbing should have written the sku # down and brought it with her, or looked it up on one of the store computers?

I love home Depot. I love the orange theme and could spend hours in the model kitchens. Not only that, the section with the lights is so magical and I find that time seems to move faster there. The Samsung fridges are cool too.

Went there 3 times to pick up my order. Even though it was successfully processed, they had said to allow 24 hours for it to show up in the system. Even though I showed them the confirmation number, Parked in the pickup spot, and waited for over 30 minutes, each time. On the 4th day, they also charged me for an add on that was to be free with a bundle, and the website had no way to show them my business account info. When I presented my business info to the pickup person, they didn't know what to do, and so then pretended my order was not processed. The pickup person Anne-Marie FINALLY helped me. She was very knowledgeable, and clearly cares about people, and took care of everything. Thanks, Anne-Marie!

The pro desk claims to be open until 6pm during the week to accept orders for lumber. Have literally been calling for the last hour to place an order and not once has anyone picked up the phone. I understand that in store shopping is open and the area may be busy but there is no voicemail to leave a message and no one to take your phone number for a call back. It's like being stuck in a loop. Either hire more staff to mand the phone systems or fix the phone systems to be more customer friendly.

Had part I needed. Got to store for curb side pickup followed signs and parked in spot same as a couple of month before. Called number on sign and waited. After a while noticed cars pulling up to front door and getting serviced. Phoned back to number on sign and was told I am in wrong spot and to get in line with other cars. Person on phone was rude and said we are lucky they volunteered to come to work. By this time there where 15 cars in line. We asked how we where supposed to know where the line started because there was no line when we got there and when we called to say we are there no one told us where to park different from last visit. She said it is not her problem we are lucky they volunteered to come in at all.

Bought garage door at fall sale and had it delivered. The door was damaged when the box was opened, however because i bought the door in the late fall and didnt open the box within 30 days (because of yhe weather), home depot refused to replace the door or fix the damaged sections. This experience was good, kitchen cupboards, the lady who we worked with made it easy showing us the layout on the computer, ordered all the stuff we needed that was great, got delivery but the guys only drop it off in driveway... So we had to help my 70 year old mother move them, but then there was leftovers, so I had to return them but the lady at customer service was quick and efficient over it, other times it's hard to find help in the store, or they don't seem to know what they are doing, and some things seem a bit expensive

Home Depot likes to use smoke and mirrors with their pricing on rentals. NOT PLEASED!! Quoted $34.00/24 hour rental.. Return the Tile wet saw cleaner then when i picked it up, but the still have a cleaning charged that is not mentioned when signing it out.

We waited in the window blinds section today for 30 minutes with no help to cut the blinds down to a custom size . My mom asked 3 employees , 2 brushed her off and the other said she would page someone . After standing in the isle for around 30+ min we decided that was long enough to wait. Around $500 in blinds we were going to purchase, ended up taking our money elsewhere and got great service. Lots of employees standing around that were unable to help us .

I went in to find a shelf, and luckily I didn't have to walk around searching for it, I asked someone where they were, they were seated so they pointed me in the right direction. Found my shelf easily, then I needed screws for it. I asked someone where they were and they pointed me down the correct isle. Friendly, helpful, easy to get what you need and get out.

This is one of few times Ive posted a negative review to such extreme. As a contractor I was treated poorly and they have THE worst tool rental department out of at least 9 different stores I have dealt with. They do Not have a full time staff person in that dept and as such they have no idea as to the condition of their equipment unless the customer that returns it mentions a defect which is rare as they feel they will be billed for that defect and therefore its passed on to the next person to deal with when the equipment doesn't work properly

This is one of my favourite go to stores for all sorts of things. I also appreciate how helpful staff are. Most recently, Brad F. helped me with a missing part that I needed for a shelving unit that I had purchased the previous day. I spoke with him on the telephone about my problem. Because of Covid19 protocols, I could not enter the store. He arranged to meet me in front of the store with the missing part in hand. Thankyou Brad F. for your help. This is why Home Depot is on my top list of places to chop in Chatham.

Stopped in our local home depot today and have couple comments , we walked in looking for an item and didn't see it so we stopped where 2 employees were talking , one asking the other where something was and didn't bother to acknowledge us standing there waiting to ask one of them a question rather just ignored us and proceeded on their way, on top of that when we finally found someone to ask about the item we wanted we were told they didn't have it even though the website said the day before they had some in store stock but now nothing , very disappointing experience to say the least! Just maybe someone from Home Depot will see this and try to correct our experience someway !!

I visited chatham home depot to price out a large project that i am about to start. I was disgusted with the lack of price information (cards hanging on racks) when you are trying to get ideas of what you are going to spend. A manager needs to walk around the lumber areas (inside and outside)and just notice how many racks have no cards on the poles for prices. Really sad

I arrived at home depot around 3:30 p.m. at Approximately 415 pm they decided to come out and tell me that there looking for my order no contact Prior to this. Was not impressed At all at this point. I contacted support to cancel the order At 4:39 p.m. and it is now 6:24 p.m. and I am still waiting to Talk to someone and/or text to cancel the order. This process they have is in my opinion utterly ridiculous. Do understand that I am not the only customer that there dealing with. So for further note I do not believe I am going to deal with this company I will look for alternative options.

And now my negative one: Was overcharged for some items and when I brought it to the attention of the checkout person she replied "Well, that's YOUR fault." (How being overcharged for something becoming my fault escapes me). Then I mentioned that I would like to cancel the whole exchange and I was told I'd have to go inside (wasn't fussy about that because of social distancing), wait in line and ask for a refund. I did just that, but won't have to any more, since I'm going to avoid the place . I left the store feeling upset, not going to put myself through that anymore.
