I am giving a review for the Loblaws Optical Dept at the Real Canadian Superstore Grandview because I was really impressed with the quality, service and price/value I received there. The store manager Mario and his colleague Martin were fantastic from the moment I walked in to get the lenses of my current glasses updated. I did not purchase the original glasses there, mind you, but they gave me a great 2 for 1 deal to replace the lenses even with one pair being rimless (Costco wouldn't replace those for me). They consulted with me on the best lens type for the value to fit my prescription and offered me a warrantee to return the pairs should I experience any issues. I was shocked at how reasonable their lens prices are and they told me they are always having deals and will work with the customer to cover the fees other companies charge (like the cost to bring your own frames in). I am a very happy customer and plan to return to get new contact lens there. Can't recommend them more highly!

Viveen was very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating, she was able to properly adjust my glasses in the first attempt whereas other stores I have been to I had to hand the glasses back and forth several times. The only complaint I have is that the store has a pretty small selection of glasses and the selection of sunglasses is even smaller.

If I could give the optical here 0 stars I would . Trying to schedule an eye exam is an absolute nightmare . They rarely pick up the phone and when they do they put you on hold ... after 20 minutes on hold I hung up . Tried back later on in the morning and finally got through to someone ... unfortunately their eye exam scheduling system was down so the lady took down my information and said she would call me back in a few minutes ... it's been hours with no call back . I will take my business elsewhere .

Must have been going there for the last six years for eye checkup and to get my progressives. Kevin Z. has consistently given me a 5-star customer experience. I was just there last Friday and was surprised that he mentioned a few details about me. Amazing since I have not been there for two years. Talk about customer engagement. I highly recommend him and also Martin, who is equally friendly and knowledgeable.

Overall disaster - I bought glasses here after an exam, and it turned out I didn't even need glasses. My eyes weren't checked thoroughly, and had to have my Dr. refer me to an optometrist that would actually help. The exam was less than 5 minutes, whereas my exam at the other optometrist seemed much more in-depth. The optometrist at Superstore simply asked a few questions, and did the whole "better, or worse?". Never actually inspected my eye, which turned out to be the important thing as I have developed keratoconus which required actually being looked at, which my new optometrist determined. In addition, when I had the exam done, whoever was running the machines before the exam had no idea what they were doing. It took the help of another employee for both machines. In the end, the optometrist at superstore said I needed glasses, so I purchased some there with the prescription. Come to find out, I don't need glasses at all, and they don't help my vision. The best advice superstore has is to "get used to them" after I had been wearing them 6 weeks without slight improvement.

Buy contact lenses for 63$ for years. The new sale man tried to sell me it for 85$. Kind of sad. I am out.

They look after my entire family with patience and understanding....they must adjust my son's glasses 10x a year because he's so rough on them....they know us to see us and always serve us with a smile!

This place is awesome! They are so professional and friendly that I will never go anywhere else for glasses. They were less expensive than other places and every step of the process was top notch- from the eye exam to walking away with new glasses- everything was great.

they gave me the wrong type of contacts for my eyes, and I didn't even know this until I went somewhere else. They never bothered with making sure they were proper for my eyes and on top of that, had me on the wrong prescription.

Always an awesome experience. Martin and Kevin are absolutely the BEST. The prices are on point as well. Service is above par IMO. My husband and I only go there and have been for years now. So friendly and willing to go that extra mile, which these days is really hard to find.

Terrible! My glasses were not adjusted properly and the female employee didn’t seem to care much. She seems miserable and clearly doesn’t wanna be there. The male employee was a bit more personable but still was not able to adjust my new glasses properly. At least he was being nice. After several attempts to reach the manager, finally I got to talk to her on the phone. After voicing my concerns, the manager was really good at spinning it around and making it sound like it was my fault. At the end of the conversation she made sure that I understand that she doesn’t care. I don’t recommend this Optical and I will never use this Optical again!

I arrived and was told to take a seat after waiting 30 I was told sorry the optometrist is running late because he came in late (after I had already waited 30 mins). The optometrist was then very rude and unprofessional. After the eye check I wanted to buy some contact lenses but was told they wouldn't order them untill I made a appointment for a fitting (I have worn these contacts 20 years). They then must order a "trial pair" to see if they work (a couple weeks wait) only then would they order them (another couple weeks wait). I said I'm paying for them and know they work, and need them asap I cannot wait 6 weeks. But they still wouldn't order them. Terrible experience. Will never go there again.

My glasses (which I purchased elsewhere) broke and I made an appt (because of covid) to check out their selection. I got an amazing deal and they had my script in stock so they cut the lenses to fit my frames in 20 mins so I had a pair. Amazing service from Sandra and great prices! I will definitely use them again and will recommend to everyone!

If there is zero i will put zero. They said glasses are ready in two weeks but its been a month. Try to call them, left message but not calling you back. Its been a month of ignoring calls. And no glasses yet

Super helpful staff, great deals. Both the sales person and optometrist helped me pick out some frames since during covid I had to go in alone. Everything was very clean, sanitized, they kept their distance but were still super helpful. Will definitely continue to purchase eyewear here.

My appointment was 2:45 PM and I came in early so that I can finish early but I heard that the doctor will be not be coming until 3:00 and still two person ahead of me so I took my paper and cancelled my appointment.

1st of all when I booked with Mcphillips they sent me to Regent. When I got to Regent the doctor had gone home & there was no recognition of my appointment. Mcphillips neglected to advice Regent of my appointment. However I was compensated for a days work because I showed them my frustration. Turned out when they did make my glasses the progressive was out of line. Now fixed & hopefully I will be able to see better now.

Picked up my daughters glasses, they were clearly crooked and didn’t even sit straight when placed on a flat surface... complete with a bunch of fingerprints on the lenses... I mentioned my concern to the lady working at the time, she told me that she wasn’t the one to be able to fix or re-size the arms and that the only guy who knows how to only works very limited hours most of which my daughter is in school or I am at work... the inconvenience of this all is just stupid. I now know why this place is always empty. *face palm* lesson learned.
