Redemption stories ... everybody loves them, right?
My first experience at Laurier was a bit of a let down. I requested some bifocals, got an eye-exam, a script - all in house - and then something went amiss when I had the lenses I scratched sent in for repair (at no cost to myself, I might add). Unfortunately, the lenses came back with the wrong script and so, I was 'done'! A tad intolerant/impatient on my part, looking back.
But after 2 years with the competition (Coward and Associates) I ran into some issues with them. Turns out they weren't very accommodating when I asked to have my bifocal script honoured and lenses made to fit my frames. They claimed that the script I had couldn't be honoured as it was over a year old, despite my saying, "Yeah, but the script is accurate - could you not just make my lenses anyhow?" It was their policy to say 'no'. (At first they tried to make it sound like it was some sort of 'law on the books' but after arguing with them, they admitted it was 'discretionary' ... which didn't help get me my lenses, so I walked out - disgusted with their unaccommodating policies).
Laurier looked at my frames, remembered me and said, "Thanks for giving us another chance!" and went right to work fulfilling my request - no eye-exam required! In two weeks, I got my amazing bifocals and am very pleased with the service and product!!
Laurier is your place to go for accommodating, pleasant staff who are willing to listen to you, work with you on things and get you the right product at a great price. Forget all the competitors in town - these guys are all you'll ever need for your optical needs.
