Amazing service, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Sam helped me find the perfect frames for my face while i waited on new lenses to be put in my old frames and she made the entire experience fun and easy. They had my frames done in under twenty minutes and i would 10/10 recommend anyone who has or needs glasses help to give them a visit.

Honestly I didn't have a good experience there I found their optometrist very unpleasant, & my glasses are covered by the government so they had a really hard time figuring out how to arrange that! the only reason I went back was a lovely girl by the name of Sam greeted me at the door and help me pick out some great glasses <3 Ps. they asked for my review - usually it's if I don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

BEST OPTICAL PLACE YOU CAN GO TO. I have been to multiple different optometrists and optical stores throughout the years but this one is by far the best. I was transitioning from being predominately a glasses user to a contacts user and they helped so so much. The customer service is amazing, reasonable prices for both glasses and contacts. I've moved out of the barrie area and will make trips to this location because I don't think I could get the same level of service anywhere else.

The worst retail service I have ever had. Staff did not want to help me choose a pair of glasses. There was no one in the store at the time and 4 staff standing and staring mindlessly behind the counter doing nothing. Their hostile attitude convinced me it was better to leave. I left and phoned the store manager who was completely apathetic so I asked for the area manager who was so overbearing that he wouldn't allow me to speak and spent most of the time defending his staff as the 'best ever'. Worst of all, I had not been able to retrieve the prescription for my glasses and the next thing I know one of the staff members is showing up at my door to return it. No one had asked my permission to come to my home! Even the optometrist rushed the test and was very abrupt. I have been to this store previously and had wonderful treatment so this was a surprise. If there had been just one inept staff member I would not bother writing a review but this experience was horrendous.

I was in a couple days ago and I honestly had a really great experience. I used to go to Sears but since it's closed and I was due for some new glasses and I decided to try Hakim Optical as I've heard great things about them. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I had nothing but great customer service. One of the ladies, Sam was so kind and helped me find glasses that I found very suitable for myself. I always would go with the same style of glasses for years but she introduced me to different styles I never thought I'd like but they took me by surprise. Thank you Hakim and Sam for the great experience.

I came in for an eye exam on August 18th 2020 exam done by Dr. Majid Hariri. I was going to try contact lenses for the first time. The assistant ordered me a pair of single vision distance, however, I did find I did more reading than I thought, so we opted for Bi-Focal lenses. We went through several versions over a period of 2 months, but I was never able to get an ability to both see distance and read. We came to the conclusion, I could just not wear contacts. On my last visit, we thought I had dropped a lens for my left eye, but could not find it. As directed I proceeded to place another one in, I mentioned it felt weird. The assistant, then double checked my eye, to ensure the 1st contact lens was not in there, and said it was a hair on the lens, lens was cleaned and replaced, still felt a little weird but he said to give it a few minutes. Well, it did not improve, I removed lense and left the store disappointed I could not wear contact lenses after trying various versions. After speaking with friends whom wear contacts, one mentioned are your sure your prescription is right, that got me thinking, so I went to ProVision, explained the issue and set up an eye exam. To my shock, my prescription was way off, thus never being able to see properly with contacts in, however, the major concern was the optician Dr. Robert MacAlpine, saw immediately that I had a lens still in my left eye. It had been there for approximately 3 weeks. I had mentioned to him that I seem to be having issues with blurred vision at times and an ache at top of my left Eye. Dr. MacAlpine noted that I was extremely lucky that no serious damage had been done. I am at a loss, I have been a Hakim Optical at this location for the past 6 years. Not only have I wasted money on an eye exam that was incorrect, but paid out for practice contacts and been left with a lens in my eye, that could have caused very serious damage. Obviously I will not be coming back to this store, and am requesting a refund of monies spent.

Amazing experience at Hakim Optical. The person I dealt with was Adam, very knowledgeable and super friendly. He suggested exactly the right style of frame I was looking for and explained all lens options available in detail so I could make a well informed decision. On top of that it took him only a few seconds to adjust my current glasses so they finally fit perfectly and I've tried to get them adjusted correctly for a couple of years now! Great team at this location which I can only highly recommend!

The opticians do not try to up-sell customers with expensive lenses and coatings they do not need. I would absolutely recommend shopping for new glasses and sunglasses at this location.

AMAZING! My 9 year old found out he needed glasses yesterday and he was both excited and nervous about getting them. He and I went into Hakim and Adam was the most amazing guy EVER!! He helped my son find the right size and fit for his head and then was incredibly kind and patient helping my son try on just about every pair of frames in the store! My son left feeling confident and excited about getting his new glasses. He loves how they look and fit and Adam was even amazing at pointing out things like making sure the arms weren't rubbing in his shaggy head of hair. Fantastic customer service! Highly recommend Adam! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

What a HORRIBLE customer service! The lady sales assistance in white coat turned out to to rude, unprofessional and cynical when I inquired about the price match for two pair of glasses I was planning to purchase. I tried to bring it under the attention of duty manager who was sitting just inside the office, and he also turned out to be as rude as his staff. I have never experienced this kind of horrible customer service with any other seller. Regrettably, they don't value their customers' business. I will NEVER EVER shop from them, period.

Went into the store today to look for glasses with my daughter. Sam helped us find exactly what we were looking for. She even went out of her way to make sure we could get what we wanted. She was so pleasant and helpful and gave us so many good ideas and choices. She was so sweet we felt more like family than just customers. Well my wife wanted another pair of sunglasses for the new year, so we went during their boxing week sale and saved 80% on the frame and another 30% on the lenses for an average savings of 55% overall, the service was great and fast, the selection of frames was outstanding, like their must of been over 300 to choose from including alot of big brand names, well the wife got what she wanted and she was happy with her purchase, really thats all that matters, there was a slight delay in getting the glasses finished in a timely manner, so the manager told us about the delay and offered a superior glass case for the glasses and a future discount which I thought was nice of her, end of story.

I bought one normal pair, the other sunglasses. Prompt and honest experience throughout. The staff was friendly and genuine in their service and recommendations. I was impressed by the selection of eyewear. My finished glasses arrived faster than I thought possible, and the quality far exceeded my expectations. The sunglasses in particular being astounding. It's not often you experience service that seems to go above and beyond at this level, especially in comparison to their local competitors I've been to previously.
