Roger really saved me! I went in as a new customer with a broken pair of glasses and was able to walk out with a brand new pair on my face, within an hour! (50% off i might add) the store was quite busy but every customer was dealt with promptly and left happily. i would highly recommend stopping by as the other places just can’t compete !!!

Originally went to Hakim for safety glasses and walked out with a new set of glasses. I had some of the best service I have ever received. Big shout out to Roger Tessier who helped my find the glasses I love and a new pair of sunglasses. I will definitely be going back for all of my optical needs! Would recommend to friends and family.

Ive been going to Hakim on mayfield for the last few years and from this point forward i won't go anywhere else. Roger is probably the most dedicated person i have ever seen at his job. He is always in good spirits and goes the extra mile every single time to help me out the best he can. Had a great experience here today. I was able to schedule an exam on a Saturday, with less than a days notice. The doctor and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Roger was wonderful! He is very personable and took care of everything, from the scheduling to the selection of frames and fitting....he answered all my questions, and helped me choose 2 great frames. Excellent customer service. I am very happy with this location, and can't wait to get my new glasses! Thank you for the pleasant experience Hakim Bayfield and Roger :)

I went into the store becasue I had broken my glasses and literally couldn’t were them. I am blind without my glasses. I went in on a monday, because I was told that I would get my glasses within a day or two. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and twenty minutes. I picked my own frames, as I needed glasses desperately and realized there was only one girl, for probably 10 shoppers. When I purchased my glasses, I was happy with the price, but then again, I had sat there for so long, hearing them usually quote $700+. Mine were just over $300. Goes to show that my prescription is very simple; no bifocals, tris, simple. Long and short, it took 4 weeks to get my glasses. Roger was great and did his best. He seemed to be the only employee that I recognized when I went in there; like a revolving door of people who work there. Roger asked me to give him a review, and if I could just review him, then I’d give a 4+. If I had of gone anywhere else, I would have had my glasses in a few days.. like I was promised when I went Hakim. I won’t be recommending this place. Roger, I hope you find a better place to demonstrate your skills.

I received my glasses within a fairly fast time frame as well! I won’t ever go anywhere else and suggest Hakim to all of my friends and family. I called around a few places before Bayfield Hakim, they are by far the most affordable and I had the best customer service experience with them in comparison to anywhere else, in person and telephone! They also have a HUGE selection of eyewear compared to anywhere else I’ve been to. I can’t thank you enough, Roger, you saved me time & money! I will be back!

This location needs to get a new optometrist if they haven’t already. He got my prescription completely wrong and I will have to pay for another exam. I made the mistake of buying my eyewear from this location as well and the one pair that I have is already cracked and I have to get them replaced. The replacement will also be no use to me since I can’t even see well with them on. I found the staff rude and argumentative when I attempted to get my multiple concerns addressed. They could not help me at all and I have to wait to speak to the manager who of course was not available to talk to me and was not willing to call me back. I recommend to anyone who wants good service and eyewear to go to another optometrist. Lesson learned for myself as well and don’t cheap out since you definitely get what you pay for. Should be zero stars.

I've been having eye exams and getting my whole family's glasses here for 10 years now. I always deal with Roger. I was unimpressed last time I was in. He knew I had my children with me and they were becoming impatient. He had a student ring me through and he went in the back to eat his chicken wings. The student went back to him 4x to ask questions and he wouldn't get up to come assist her. It took longer than it needed to to ring us through- honestly over 30 minutes just to pay, and with little kids, he could have been more helpful. Today I went in to get new sunglasses. I left without purchasing because again, he was more interested in being in the back than helping the customer. Another customer came in, and the other person working went around the store with him, asking his preferences and style, explaining the promos and sanitizing glasses after the man tried them on. I however was on my own, no one sanitizing or offering suggestions. I don't think I'll be back again, certainly not to this location.

Best shopping experience ever! I am a fan of Roger Tessier in the Barrie store. I dealt with him in the Newmarket store for years and when he moved to Bayfield Street I followed him for the excellent, professional, courteous customer service that he ALWAYS provides to me. He is the only fitter of glasses that has me seeing properly through my new prescriptions on the first try every time. His knowledge of his business, his knowledge of his stock and his exceptional ability to fit and maintain my glasses is the reason why he is the only person I want to deal with. It is worth the hour drive to Barrie just to know I will be treated perfectly.

I visited Hakim on Bayfield today and was blown away by my experience. I met Roger Tessier, one of their Opticians, who was able to move up my appointment by an hour when the weather turned nasty to ensure I got home safely and gave me his undivided attention while I went back and forth between frame styles. The prices were excellent and the customer service was top shelf! Go see Roger for yourself if you're in the market for new specs... I bought 4 pair ????????

I had a pair of sunglasses which were clearly defective. The frames cracked spontaneously on several occasions and each time Hakim would replace the frames, as per the warranty agreement. On the third occasion, I returned them once again. This time Lisa helped me to select a new pair without charge, and she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She turned an unsatisfactory experience into a satisfactory one, and as a result, my husband I will continue to purchase our glasses at Hakim.
