He was happy to take a look at my glasses via emailed photos and then met my partner at his store to attempt to fix them. He was able to get them back together and didn’t charge us! Great service, specially trough Covid times. Mr. Archer took care of my glass prescription like no else in Barrie could. Archer's Eye care was the third place I went to get it done and the only one that could actually find the problem and fix it. Great price, great quality and very good service. Next time will be my first choice for eyewear! Update 2021: This year I needed a new sunglass with prescriptions on it.. once again I had great service and good prices. I've been going to Archer's Eyewears for years now! They always have the best & most stylish selections and incredible customer service. I was so impressed this past week -- i had a pair of glasses in for repair, and was trying to coordinate pick-up because I had been out of town for awhile. I was set to come through town to pick up the glasses, but was running late and wasn't going to arrive before they close for the day. I was so incredibly blessed when they offered to keep the doors open just that little extra so I could make the pick-up. It saved me from making another trip. Such dedication and genuine commitment to me as a customer!

For years I have been going back to Archer's Eyewear and been receiving excellent product and service. That is something I cannot say about most small businesses, especially as online options make buying anything more practical than physically driving to a store. But if you visit Archer's and are served by Doug Archer or any of his staff, you will get something important that most online companies are missing -- a custom product with custom service through and through.

Following cataract surgery, I sought help at Archer’s Eye Wear to learn about how I could protect my affected eye. I had trialed protective wear (i.e. safety glasses and wrap around sunglasses), but I really needed something more comfortable with a smaller profile. While I realize that post op protective wear is required outdoors to protect the eye from ultra violet rays, dust and particles, I was concerned about protecting the eye, indoors, against splatters while cooking, playing with grandchildren, etc - also as a barrier to prevent incidental touching and/or rubbing of my eye. I was given some great choices of protective eye wear … and … landed on the “Oakley Polished Black Half Jacket Sun Glasses”. This frame is a life-saver – protects eyes indoors and outdoors with the added benefit of ‘transitioning’ (i.e. darkening against the sun). I wear them all day inside and out … without looking like I’ve just had eye surgery! … very stylish!

Stewart was also very helpful and pleasant. My lenses were outsourced to another company and unfortunately they were delayed. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by a phone call from the owner, Doug, who offered his apologies and told me that he would not charge me for the lenses due to the delay! I only had to cover the cost of the frames which were already on sale! Very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Picked up NEW "Crystal." eye wear today. They are great, some said my old ones made me look too severe . . . . anyway . . . . . I got home and sat dwn in front of my spouse with a half opened Sojourn's bag in my hands; a lime grn long sleeved shirt. "Well?" I said, expecting she would notice my NEW glasses. "What that in the bag?" She asked. "I wanted to see." I showed the shirt to her, she like it ,but still she did NOT look at my, NEW glasses. Hummm. Later she said my glasses look so perfect on me, that they are almost invisible. Ok I'm putin that lime grn shirt on to become visible again. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I have been going to Doug for 19 years, and even drive from Milton now to get all my glasses, and especially my contact lenses from him. My latest trip to Archer's Eyewear was because another Optician in Oakville told me that there was little options available to me since I had lasik surgery years ago to correct my myopia, which he determined was -1.00 in both eyes. This same optician ordered new progressive lenses for my glasses and when I put them on, I was instantly nauseous. Rather than keep wasting my time, and money, I drove over an hour from Milton to Barrie to see Doug. Within an hour, he determined I was given the wrong prescription and the wrong contact lens type for my eye! I left today with a proper prescription and new lenses that are great for vision and so comfortable-and cheaper too! Doug and his staff treat me like family-hugging me when I arrive and never feeling like I am in their way-taking their time to making sure to sort out all my questions before I leave. The effort and care Doug and his staff put into everything they do is the reason I trust Archer's Eyewear for me and my family!
