When I last went here I felt very comfortable around the employees as they were very friendly and didn't mind when I tried to make a bot of humor to lighten the mood. Terrible customer service! Told the people on the phone i needed an eye exam paper filled out. They didnt tell me it costs an extra $20 on the phone.. then the eye dr told me two times i could go some where else to get my eyes checked.

Having moved to this area from Guelph and having been a Hakim customer for the past 20 years, I was so very delighted to meet the exceptional staff at Store # 103 Lindsay! The great customer service, the wonderful selection and the cleanliness of the store all impress. My husband and I look forward to continuing with Hakim Lindsay and can't say enough as to how well you are cared for once you enter their socially distanced, well screened facility. Getting my eyes tested he races through the exam . You end up with Garbage. Anyone can learn how to test your eyes and make a prescription in 15 minutes. I pay attention. There's no excuse but laziness for this. An auto refrector prescription without adjustment is better than a terrible prescription that makes my eyes worse.

I broke my glasses and needed a new set asap. The young lady helped me find a pair of frames and then took the measurements etc from my existing lenses because i didn't have a perscription. The measurements wrre perfect!!! When i picked up my bew gkasses and sunglasses, they fit perfectly and were so clear to see through. The staff at Lindsay Hakim (store 103) were excellent and I am so thankful they were there to help me out in an emergency!

I have done business with Hakim Optical for many years now.My glasses broke today and because of COVID-19 you have to make an appointment, I called and she slipped me in, and repaired my glasses no Hassle at all. I have purchased numerous eye glass frames here over the years. So happy with my most recent purchases! The shop currently requires appointments with all Covid precautions in place and yet, manage to make you comfortable browsing in the store. I didn’t feel rushed. Holly is awesome to deal with... so professional, organized, accommodating and patient. I found all staff to be friendly. My glasses and sunglasses were good quality and value, and arrived when promised. I highly recommend this optical store.

Purchased 2 pairs of glasses here. It took well over a month for the first pair to be prepared and even longer for the second. They kept telling me they would call when they were ready but, never did. I had to call to find out they were ready for both pairs. Customer service is terrible. If I could give them a zero I would.

It took 3 months to get my glasses and a whole lot of persistence on my part. The manager, who did indeed give her store a 5 star review like another reviewer noted, was standoffish and insinuated that I was lying about the issue I was having with my lenses. I requested a fix that I felt would work and she refused. We tried it her way, which was a waste of time and money. I made my original request again and she proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for the new lenses or forfeit my warranty. I eventually had to reach out to the head office to finally resolve the problem. Will never return and I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I had great service at the Hakim Optical Lindsay. I was greeted by the Manager who was pleasant and most helpful. The prices are affordable. When I returned to pick up my glasses the service continued to wonderful and helpful. Great place for full service with amazing staff. I will be back. Thank You!????

Horrible customer service. When I told the woman at the counter I was sent by my eye doctor to them because Hakim holds the contract for ODSP. She immediately became very condescending, treating me as though I couldn't afford the glasses because ODSP will only cover so much. She was trying to talk me out of progressive lenses. How does she know what my situation is? She priced out glasses without me picking a frame? Again assumes I want the budget frames. Just because I'm on ODSP now doesn't mean I've always been on a monthly cheque, possibly I could be educated but became I'll? I will never return to this store nor do I recomend it to anyone. Business is business should not matter what a person's source of income is.

Loving my new glasses ???? Making the big decision was easy with the help from the amazing Amanda & Candace at Hakim Optical in Lindsay. Hakim has been my glasses shop since grade 12 and every year the selection gets better. Thanks Ladies!!

We purchased glasses Aug 2019.After a few months my husbands glasses were smeary & we could not get them clean. He stopped wearing them &with covid on we did not get back in to ask about this until July,at which time they told us it was from heat..cooking etc. Well this did not happen to my husband he doesnt cook. She told us 199.00 for new lenses What are they not under warranty? no not for heat...thats a crock ! they have obviously had this problem and they knew exactly what to say to avoid a redo ..they must use substandard lenses..and this happens I wrote to Hakim on their website got a generic robo letter and no followup.. We try to shop local...but no more Costco or Walmart in Peterborough would do a better job and have better customer service,,,there is none at Hakim Lindsay

I guess it was that time... I needed glasses. Mid forties and starting to not be able to see close up or far away. Okay.. Off to Hakim. The service there was GREAT! Holly, Candace and Amanda were polite and professional and made my experience very comfortable and I will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend Hakim in Lindsay!

Went in March for eye exam and contacts. Was given the wrong contacts. Couldn't get in again due to covid. Finally got back in Oct 1 by appointment I made in August. But Couldn't get an eye exam or contacts?? Was specifically told I'd be getting everything done. Anyhow. I was there so I ordered new glasses and prescription sunglasses. Sunglasses were ready in no time. I'm still waiting for my glasses. Called in to tell them I won't be needing them anymore. Asked about a refund. Was obviously told no refunds. Why would they refund someone in a time when money is tight. Pfft! I do NOT recommend Hakim Optical. I ĎO think their professionalism is absolute garbage. And they can keep the glasses and my MONEY if they need it that bad. I've had speeding tickets that were more enjoyable than dealing with this garbage store.

I have been a client of this business for 9 years. Every experience has been positive. Efficient. Business like. Courteous help selecting frames. Never any surprises with cost. Always ready on time. Today I went in with my wire frame prescription sunglasses badly bent. I sat on them. The store manager took them and had them back to me like new in minutes. No charge. I will only go to them for my oltometrist needs.. My husband has asked me to reitrate that he echoes this experience.

Ihave to give a one star to post this but I don't give any stars. I had the most horrible experience with hakim optical Lindsay location, i had my eyes and both my kids eyes checked there which was fine except for my eyes, I called back needing my prescription fixed my left eye felt like it was pulling. I never got my prescription fixed in my frames I picked out also my daughter had picked out a pair of frames with little diamonds on the arms and when we went to pick them up they were little baby bumble bees instead. They were babyish for my daughter's age (9)at the time then a few days go by and I realized my daughter's one pair of glasses had no prescription in them , they were the original plastic in them. So went back and they said they never had a pair of frames with diamonds and said they'll put the lenses in her frames and said that she could pick another frame. By the time I was able to go in they said I took to long so they went ahead and put the prescription in the frames we never picked out and was laughed at while standing there they were talking to the district manager and hung up the phone and said there's nothing we can do for you and I never got my glasses I needed . Worst experience ever, will never go back. Never recommend

I bought glasses here and have had some trouble with them . I fell asleep with them on once and they where never the same. Yesterday the staff took my lenses and managed to put them into another frame. I'm very happy today doing nails and I can see them properly again. Treat people as you want to be treated . If you walk in and are rude you can expect that in return. Thanks ladies for all your help I deeply appreciate what you did for me.

Absolutely loved my experience at the Lindsay location. I was blown away with the selection but mostly with the staff. Amanda is amazing , she picked out the perfect pair of glasses for me and she had them ready in no time. I can’t say enough great things about this store !
