A full 5 stars to Hakim Optical Bowmanville. My daughter and I always get our glasses here. Stephanie is one of the best in the business. Caring, informative and honest. Always available for quick pop in adjustments as needed. I don't go anywhere else! Thank you to Stephanie and her team!

$600 spent on glasses. First set got a scratch within 3 months. They had no idea of any way to fix scratches.... wanted to charge me $50 for a new lense. Frames I've had for JUST over a year. The arm completely separated from the frame at the place it was originally welded... Just cleanly separated with a little bump. (Seriously?! $600 for shoddy eyewear?!) Apparently they couldn't repair it because it was too worn? (What?) So.... wanted me to pay $160 to replace the frames. Never again will I get glasses here. My last set of glasses had been repaired 5 times via welding when the nose piece snapped in half as the metal weakened. 5 times! And they couldn't repair this? My father also has had problems with his glasses and he got them here as well. Not cool. $600 down the drain. Never going with Hakim again lol

The service here is incredible. Every time I enter the store the sales staff greet me by name. The girls at the front are very knowledgeable about fit/size of frames, and helping pick out new ones I love every time. Even helping me customize my lenses to exactly what I want/need. There COVID protocols are extraordinary and when I needed a follow up appointment they contacted me to schedule it, (I forgot I needed one). I highly recommend the Bowmanville location for Hakim.

We showed up late by accident, close to closing and the Optician stayed late so both me and my wife could get our eyes tested since our insurance was expiring. Super friendly and helpful.

I made an appointment to have nose pieces added to glasses that I thought required extra nose pieces. They were glasses I bought from Amazon to block blue light from my computer screens. The ladies there were great. Not only did I not need nose pads added to adjust the fit, they adjusted them so they fit properly and didn't charge me a thing. I was super grateful for their time and very impressed with their helpful service, especially when it wasn't glasses from their store. Thanks ladies!

I had my eye exam done there and was helped when picking out the right glasses for myself.I also got fitted for contact lenses and until I was comfortable with the lenses, I was allowed to try as many pairs as I needed to. I dealt with Stephenie who was absolutely awesome. She is very friendly and definitely knows everything that has to do with your eyes. I am definitely going back to and would highly recommend this store to everyone I know.

I spent thousands at this Hakim and recently had an issue with the lenses I ordered and they wanted more than the glasses cost in the first place to make new ones. Customer loyalty dont matter and the service is a joke. Found to be the case at all Hakim optical I've purchased from. Never again will I buy glasses again from these clowns.

Wow stopped in today for the first time and was really impressed I had an issue with safety glasses and had to have them hopefully fixed within a couple hours got a call about 30 minutes after dropping them off and they were ready great bunch off ladies I highly recommend them will be going back for new glasses when needed

I have been to a variety of optical locations over my lifetime but nothing compares to the Bowmanville location of Hakim. Stephenie and Erin are always accommodating and always there to help pick out the perfect frame. Couldn’t make decisions without them! They make the entire experience easy and take all the anxiety out of making the wrong decision.

Absolutely the best service. Katherine, Erin and Jordyn are so friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help with adjusting your glasses and ultimately to help pick out the most complimentary frames to suit you and your personality. I would 100% recommend them, you won't be disappointed.

When it came time for my daughter to get her first contact lenses I took her in to see Stephenie and it was an amazing experience ! Stephenie was patient with her and took the time to explain and show her how to put them in and remove them. My whole family have been getting our glasses here for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else - the customer service is fantastic !

My girlfriend had problems with another hakim refusing to fix her glasses when the pin came out of the arm and giving her a second pair that weren’t the proper frames. Both glasses were under warranty and they still would not take care of the issues or admit to their mistakes. We brought the glasses to bowmanville hakim and they were more then happy to help solve the problem and they honoured the warranty that was still on both pairs of glasses. I could not be more happy with the service received here and we will continue to deal with bowmanville hakim!

I had the most amazing experience at Hakim Optical Bowmanville. I was greeted by the most incredible sale representative named Stephanie! She took the time to show me a variety of glasses in the style I was looking for. Their COVID protocols were incredible as well; sanitizing each pair I tried on as well as the many other clients trying on glasses. I was VERY impressed and look forward to shopping there again for the next pair of glasses I need! Very friendly and professional staff! I highly recommend the Bowmanville location for anyone looking for wonderful service and a beautiful new set of glasses! 5 stars!!!
