Je n’ai pas aimé aussi bien le service à la clientèle (non accueillant) mais aussi l’optométriste qui entre autre ne m’a pas donné les résultats de l’examen sur papier. L’autre point négatif de l’optométriste est qu’il m’a fait croire une chose la première semaine qui m’a encouragé à revenir cette semaine (et à payer deux fois) et cette semaine il ne se rappelle pas de me l’avoir dit et me dit autre chose. Et m’invite à retourner pour un troisième examen dans 3 mois (et à payer encore) En principe ce magasin doit être plus confortable pour les clients que d’autres newlook car déjà pour se rendre chez eux on fait un grand effort de stationnement

I wanted to order new contact lenses and change the lenses on my glasses but keep the frames. The exam went fine but the older sales lady afterwards was pressuring me to take advantage of their 2 for 1 promotion for glasses that cost $900+. I told her I didn't need new glasses but she would not take no for an answer. She acted like I was crazy for not taking advantage of their promotion. The last straw was when she asked how much money I had on me and said she was willing to take it as a deposit on two pairs of glasses. I had enough of her thirstiness for my money and left the store. I'm never going back. There are plenty of other optometrists who will respect me as a customer and give me what I want.

Very slow to deliver my glasses. My order was placed on July 21 and today I was told that the order was still not in. After receiving various reasons why my order was not completed today and in the past, I cancelled my order today. The person who served me today didn't even apologize but rather gave a stern face. The owner of the branch didn't do anything to correct the problem. I would definitely not recommend this branch.

I am writing this review because I was very unsatisfied with my experience with New Look in Cote des Neiges. I was seen by the optometrist Amy Wee. I got my eyes checked in hopes to get my pupillary distance however she refused to give it to me she said "I cant give you your pupillary distance unless you purchases frames or contact lenses". Although I did not purchase frames or contact lenses from your store I believe I have the right to my records as a patient and I also paid $80 to have my eye exam. It is unfair for Amy Wee to refuse to give a part of my prescription for the benefit of her own sales. I completely understand the need to sell from your store but you have to understand that all patients cant afford $500 eye glasses. Not only that my work insurance doesn't cover eyeglasses. This is not the first time I've heard of this. Because of this experience I've been barely wearing my eyeglasses because I don't have a PD and only wear contact lenses 98% of the time. This forces me to go somewhere else to get my eyes checked. I hope to this changes so that other customers don't experience this especially those who want to spend less on their eyeglasses.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! Super unorganized team who doesn't follow through with file changes and cannot for the life of them speak english. I am never going back there again, it is honestly the worst customer service I have ever received. i have been a client there for over 5 years and they still cannot find my file. People are spending thousands of dollars in your store and you cannot even book them an appointment.

I have been coming here for a few years it is always an exceptional experience. Unlike other places that are smaller and crowded there is always a relaxing atmosphere and stylish frame options. Maria helped me find the most amazing pair of green frames which I have been looking for years and are hard to find that were part of the special offer. She also helped me with new stylish sunglasses also under offer. It’s rare to feel so welcome in an eye glasses shop but this place is special thanks to the people who work there. Been here twice and i had a really nice visit with Dr. Amy Wee. My only disappointment is for their staff who caters you if you want to get a glasses. Well, they’re nice when you have them face to face. But when you call them by Phone, damn! Last dec 3 & 4, 2020 i call them to follow up my order sunglass but the guy told me “French only no english” and then hangs up. The next day someone answered me sarcastically. He doesn't want me to finish talking for what I needed. I don't think thats the ideal sales person the company needs. Anyways, Good luck!

Excelent service. I had done my eye exam + 2 glasses and contacts here in 2015 and was very satisfied. In 2017 I had to redo glasses+contacts but moved a bit far from this location. Did my eye exam at Costco cause friends recomended but didn't like there enough to make the glasses, so I was looking for a new place. Went to Lenscrafters at Rockland and was told off by an extremely rude optometrist secretary (the staff at the lunetterie is great though, but they told me the contacts would need a new exam eventough i had already done an eye exam 1 week before, weird). Tried New Look close to Jean Talon market and the service was awful. Finally came back to this New Look location. They accepted my eye exam done elsewhere, were extremely nice, polite and gentle. And the manager explained that they replaced the entire staff at the New Look Jean Talon location due to episodes like mine. I am extremely satisfied and happy and will come back when is time to redo glasses and contacts one more time.

J'ai due aller à un autre endroit et la façon de procéder n'étais pas la même , beaucoup plus spécialisé , rencontre plus longue avec utilisation de verres spéciaux pour faire des tests pour etre certain que tout sera bien. I was there a few days and it was ok. Amy wee examined my eyes and I felt she was a bit in a hurry. I expected more patience and concentration. Also, customers are charged for 7$ extra on top of the exam fee. It is called covid fee!!!!???? The question is why ordinary people have to pay this. She wouldn't bother looking if they had it in stock, only until the doctor told her to do so. I had to wait for the doctor, and he then had a regular employee to serve me. My appointment was delayed. Optometrist Pham at NewLook Pointe-Claire did not respect her saying. I went a month ago for Eye test and she found something in my right eye to be re-checked in a mounth. 1st time in my life I asked if I have to repay and she answered no it is just a re-check. So today I went for my appointment and she asked for 65$ to do a partial test. I asked for à repirt to my diagonostic and will see another Optometrist. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Amy Wee and staffs at CDN store. I had blurry vision with my right eye, and none of other optometrists in my neighbourhood was able to take an appointment. CDN New Look welcomed me right way (2 days waiting time), did an exam, and gave me a referral to a specialist to be safe. Since my appointment for the specialist was scheduled in a month, Dr. Wee did a follow up exam and gave me a treatment plan. The specialist I saw was rude and had no patient (different office). Dr. Wee had patient. My eye is so much better, I was able to make a pair of glasses and get 6 months worth of contact lenses. Staffs were friendly and answered all of my questions.

I call the store and spoke in English, the french man obvious from France who answer the call got upset, and said "un autre anglais" and placed me on hold... at first i didn't think much of it. It was when i actually went in to store, I realized how bad their customer service was. I first saw Dr.Amy Wee back in January, the only negative there was that she informed me I didn’t have a condition that I do in fact have and spent 15 years with a specialist. But overall it was fine, and she told me if i have an issue with my prescription to come back. The prescription was weaker than my old one of 7 years, that was already weak and blurry but I decided to trust it and order glasses off the same website ive been using for 5+ pairs of glasses that always came out perfect. But the prescription was too weak. The first time I went back it, I made an appointment and the staffing implied I would be seeing Dr.Wee. It wasn’t with her, but with their staff. The man who served me was incredibly rude and short with me the entire time. He never checked my new glasses, just only had me put on the device that holds the glass to see if the prescription was blurry. So he informed me I'd have to make an appointment with Dr.Wee. I asked if I could book online after he ignored my availability and said I couldn't do so because on the website you can’t book with a specific Dr. I guess nobody trained him on how New look’s website works. Corona happened and that was canceled. So I made a new appointment with Dr.Wee for the weekend recently. Friday comes and New Look calls asking me why I have to come in, I explained and then Dr.Wee said I am not to see her I am to see the Optician to check my glasses. I explained that I’ve already come down to do that but they wanted me to book with her. She said come in on a day when the Optician and herself was there instead Day of new appointment Dr. Amy Wee comes out and just states “Well first of all those glasses are way too small for your face”, but i was wearing my old glasses that i could see perfectly out of for 5 years only till recently when my sight has gotten worse. The same glasses she saw in January and didn’t say there was an issue with then. Dr. Wee was the one who measured both my old glasses and the new glasses, and the Optician never touched them. Dr. Wee is a “trained” Optometrist and isn’t a trained Optician, as the owners of New Look points on another google review. So she isn’t trained on how to tell if they are made correctly. After she tells me “they don’t pass” she told me to go into her office and she will explain why when I walk it feels warped. I told her I don’t have that feeling at all and that the glasses are just blurry. She replied with “No”, as if my lived experience is wrong. She then told me my old prescription is too strong, and that I need a weaker one. We go back and forth with me telling her both prescriptions are blurry and I want to see clearly. Then she tells me I need to pick if I want a prescription that is too strong or one that wont give me headaches. She also tells me it's impossible to see clearly, and because I guessed the 20/20 line correctly I then have 20/20 vision despite it being quite blurry as well as how she has better then average eyesight and only she can see clearly and everyone else has blurry vision. She then said she will just give me my older ‘too strong’ prescription and she can’t do anything else for me. She then writes down the wrong ‘old’ prescription because she isn’t an Optician but an Optometrist and can’t actually tell what prescription a pair of glasses are by looking at them. Both prescriptions give me headaches because they are blurry and strain my eyes. We go to leave, and she tells me if I have an issue with this one and want to come back she will have to charge me because I am taking up a lot of time. I guess my time and money for bad service is meaningless Being an Optometrist means using your personal judgment a lot and making sure you understand what your patient is saying with the results. Her Judgment is clearly off, not sure if because she hates her job or what. But quite honestly I don't think Ms. Wee graduated from uni after my experience with her.

Prise de possession des lunettes 1 mois plus tard, j'ai dû faire les suivis car ils ont oublié de m'appeler pour m'indiquer que mes lunettes soleil étaient prêtes. Les lunettes reçues n'avaient pas les bonnes teintes de verre, j'ai dû retourner en succursale, ils m'informent qu'ils ont changé de fournisseur et que ca arrive (ok, dans ce temps là, prenez le temps de vérifier les teintes avec le client non?) . Après réception de la nouvelle commande de verres, on les installe encore sans se soucier si c' est la bonne teinte. Pour votre information, ce n'est pas la bonne teinte encore. On me remet les lunettes sans vérifier s'ils sont ajustés (ils ont été desajustés à l'installation des verres), je vois encore des retailles blanches sur les verres suite à la coupe. Je vais vivre avec des verres que je ne veux pas car je ne veux tout simplement plus retourner la bas! Première fois en 20 ans que j'ai un service aussi médiocre à l'achat de lunettes. Première fois aussi que j'achetais chez new look.

The staff is very welcoming and professional, would've been a 5 star if it wasn't for the experience with the optometrist Amy Wee. She was unprofessional with the way she greeted us and the way she spoke to us. She did the check-up rapidly and answered rudely when we asked questions. When we seemed worried her answer was: "i chose this profession because nobody dies, worst is you can turn blind but that's rare we just had one patient but nothing to worry about", she later mentions something about risks of cancer and about watching out but says not to stress because stressing will cause a tumeur, is this really a professional way to speak to your clients? As a health professionnal, optometrists are trained build a trustful relationship with their clients and are meant to take the time to explain concepts that are unclear. It's sad to see that there is no empathie left in the health system and that we had to experience that first hand today. I understand we might have been her last clients but it only took an extra 10 minutes of her day and are paying to get an adequate service. There was also absolutely no reason to say "you're free, I'm free and every body is free". We had a long day too and do not find it pleasing at all to visit an optometrist for an urgent situation on a Friday night, it would've atleast been nice to treat us professionnally and with respect.
