Cheapest place in the city for fair quality glasses. I saved over $300. Got the non branded ones but they still feel comfortable and stylish. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! Thanks for my new glasses :)

Despite the claims that they offer great customer service at a great price, I can confidently say that the prices are just ok.... but the amateurish approach to customer service was extremely disappointing. Following my concern with my lenses and obviously poor quality frames, it was apparent that all the store staff that I dealt with were attempting (and probably trained) to find every reason that my concerns were not warranted and the problem was mine. After pushing for a resolve which only came when dealing with "management" I reached what seemed like a most basic resolve. After wearing glasses for over 40 years, I can honestly say that this was the most frustrating and unprofessional optical experience in my life. Save yourself the frustration and try an established and professional company. There is no great savings here if you shop around, but when you depend on glasses to live....customer service is everything.

High praise for excellent AFTER the sale support. I bought a spare frame two years ago, when I bought my first pair from them. When I recently decided to try and use them there was a problem with the small screws on the spare frames, which subsequently led to me loosing the screws when I tried to deal with it myself. Whew, they found me the missing screw and made it work perfectly. All the staff here seems cheerful and helpful.

Poor customer service and very cheap frames. We bought 4 pair, last Fall, one pair the arm on my frame broke off less that 5 hrs after leaving the store. 2 more pair were not properly fitted and needed to be replaced with different frames and my last pair they didn't set up, adjust nor ensure the lenses were correcting my vision. $1200 we paid and will never be back. We bought extended warranty but with their rude attitude with needing so many unsatisfactory adjustments, we don't feel comfortable returning to that store or asking for repairs and proper fitting. Had to go to Vogue Optical to get our new glasses fitted afterward. We regret everything about our experience and won't ever buy our glasses at Optical Warehouse Bayer's Lake again. Poor customer service, garbage ...cheaply made products.

The employee had told to me to have a seat when I was done picking out the frames I wanted to try, and someone would come up and help me out. Sat there for 20 minutes or more before someone different approached me and asked if I was finished. While there was 5 or more employees just standing around doing nothing, while I'm looking around wondering why no one is helping , outwardly speaking to my partner wondering why no one is coming up to help, Kind of annoying because There wasn't even anyone else in the store at the time. They need to work on their customer service, had a bad vibe the moment I walked in and instantly got the cold shoulder from the gal at the register. I'm only giving two stars because I like the glasses I got..

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, they never let you walk out the door without making sure you are satisfied. I wish they would relocate somewhere else, this place is very far whether you take the bus or have a car. Would be better if they were somewhere closer to other popular departments. Other than that, always awesome going there!

Ordered glasses from here for my child. First time they came back, the ocular center of the lens was off, kid couldn't see anything out of the glasses and got a bad headache. They did redeem themselves and fix the error without any trouble. If your on a budget going here is a good option, especially if your perscription changes often. If you want a pair that lasts for years and years, I don't recommend these frames. You can tell the difference between the frames we got here compared to one of the other more expensive eyeglass places. They are cheaper because they are cheaply made.

A word of warning, save your money and purchase from a reputable dealer. You may save a few dollars but in the end it may cost you much more. If you have a straight forward prescription, maybe, but if all doesn't go well it's not good. When I returned I was treated in a rude, condescending matter, returned a second time and was treated worse. You can't file a claim with BBB because their head office is in Quebec and they have no BBB. I will continue to seek a resolution through Consumer Affairs and have purchased new glasses, which eventually ran into quite an expense for a senior living on a fixed income

I got glasses from the Optical Warehouse 3 or 4 years ago and was very happy with the price and service. I recently went back to purchase another 2 pairs of glasses. I'm still unsure if it was just a misunderstanding or if the person was very new, but the salesperson I spoke to was telling me the minimum price I could pay for a pair of lenses matching my prescription was $250 (not bifocals either). She gave a variety of reasons why, none of which were very clear. Typically, lenses are relatively cheap compared to frames, but the quote I got was the opposite. I'm not saving any money by putting $250 lenses in a $40 pair of frames. Eventually the salesperson got someone else to help me. Now, this person introduced me to a new deal that was just starting that day, in the end I paid $60 for lenses, with a pair of glasses costing 135 in total, taxes included. I bought 2 pairs, and they're of excellent quality and I'm very happy with them. I'm posting this review because I suspect they might have changed their business model and instead of being a discount glasses supplier as they were when I first visited, they're now trying to charge the same price as other glasses suppliers (where there is a huge markup on frames). The price they originally quoted me for lenses was outrageous, and I was going to walk out of their store without glasses because of it. Fortunately, the second person who served me got me an excellent deal that was more in line with what I had been expecting. I rarely post reviews of any kind, and I acknowledge that this was just one experience and may not be representative of how things are usually done there. I'm giving them 3 stars because I got 2 pairs of glasses for a good price and I'm very happy with them. Had I been introduced to that offer initially I would have given them 5 stars. And of course, had I walked out of their as I intended to do I would have given them 0 stars. Buyer beware.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who give excellent one-on-one service and aren't rushed. They also advise you of their return policy up front and you get your choice of cleaning cloth colour and case from a myriad of selections. I didn't even know this place existed. They also have an unusually large selection of children's frames, which is what I have to buy as a result of being a very small adult. Definitely recommend.
