I have bought several frames at Venus Eye Wear over the years. I spent the extra money because Venus had a good warranty on the frames. At the time of purchase, the salesperson said it was the best warranty in the business. Well unfortunately for me they did not honour their warranty. I am very disappointed. My frames have chips in the paint. The solution offered by Venus when I asked Venus to honour its warranty was that I could buy a new frame. This is not the solution I was looking for. I entered into a contract when I bought the glasses. Venus did not hold up its end. Why on earth would I want to buy another pair of frames if they did not honour the warranty with the pair I had already purchased? In response to the owner - you neglected to mention that you quietly closed your Kelowna location and did not honour the full warranty for these customers. Disappointing as the staff in the Kelowna store was excellent.

I was an optician for 8 years before leaving the industry. In that time I managed a few boutique style opticals and learned all of the ins and outs to do with pricing, product quality, and customer care. At one point or another, I would would say I've dealt with most in Edmonton. Needless to say, when I decided to visit Venus Eye Boutique, my expectations were high. From the moment I was greeted by Julia, the experience was very personal and genuine. Their opticians are helpful, without being overbearing such as the case with many other opticals. Their product knowledge is vast and they have answers to all your questions. I was immediately impressed to learn that their frames are designed here in Canada, and even with outsourced manufacturing, their turnaround times are exceptionally quick. With Venus, you are getting a customized product with an array of color options to choose from. Their frames are high quality; far more so than many of the 'brand name' pieces you see at most of the chain opticals. I was so happy with their presentation and frame quality, that I bought 2 pairs of glasses without much hesitation. I have to say that these are the most fashion-forward and fun pairs that I've ever owned! In some instances, you even have the option of ordering different arm/temple pieces to mix and match with the front piece of your glasses, so its really hard to ever get sick of them. A very versatile feature to offer clients. Overall, I highly recommend these folks!

My wife and I have been clients of Venus for several years now and at least three sets of glasses each. We found the styles offered to be quite stunning. Venus pushed me outside of my comfort zone from a fashion standpoint and it has been fun ever since. This week I managed to pull a bonehead move and sit on my glasses breaking the frame and one lense. Went in this morning and found out that the two year, unconditional warranty was there for my benefit! Replacement glasses within two weeks!! Thanks Venus!

Mike and his team are AMAZING!! He designs the frames himself and they are such fun colours and customizable!! I still get compliments on mine from almost 2 years ago. If you want colour options this is the place to go!!

No customer loyalty and no attempt to compromise. I wasn't given the correct prescription by the front desk after my eye appointment. But because I went elsewhere to have my glasses made (for the first time after 14 years of being a loyal customer at Venus) Mike took no responsibility for his staff's error and essentially called me a liar. Buyer beware.

I was amazed by the customer service and product selection. The glasses are made locally and can be customized as you wish. The owners run the store and make the glasses so you can tell pride is taken. When I was there the phone rang a couple times but she still put me first. Take the time to check this place out when shopping as you will totally leave happy

When Venus was in Kelowna I had purchased 6 pairs of glasses from them and had great customer service. Several of the frames I had the legs switched out to match the color of the frame. At no time was I ever charged in Kelowna nor was I told there was a charge. Fast forward, they are no longer here and I wanted to purchase the same glass frames and have them shipped from Edmonton to Kelowna. Figuring it would be the same service, I just sent an email asking them to do so. The price sounded a a bit high but I proceeded. When I received them, I checked the website and found that all their frames are $250 while they charged me $350! A bit of a rip out and gauging in pricing for an out of province person! When I called them and questioned them the girl was rude and said that the extra $100 was for switching out the legs? Yet, in Kelowna I was never charged for that service. I asked why did your girl not tell me that there was going to be a charge? If they had I would never had purchased the frames. To that she rudely said I should have known their policy? How would I know their policy when I was never ever ever charged in Kelowna for the legs being switched out. When I asked to speak to the Mike and sent him a letter detailing my situation he didnt even have the courtesy to call me in person. So, to them it is more about gauging the customer and who cares what poor customer service they give. I wrote you up Mike on the BBB! You should be ashamed of yourself for such poor service and for not having a staff that cares for their people like how you did in Kelowna. Your glass frames are not the best in the country and I will tell you the only reason i did re connect with your company was because of the service I received in Kelowna. But your company in Edmonton well, shame on you for ripping off people.

So disappointed and annoyed with the customer service I received today. The sign caught my eye as I am currently looking for a new pair of glasses, so I decided to walk in. I was greeted warmly by the woman working the front desk, however the male owner decided to come over and tell me all about his credentials and how many awards he has received. He immediately was pulling frames for me to try on (without asking what my preference in style or colour is) and after I asked him if he had anything with a bit bigger frame and less colour (I am very plain when it comes to glasses) he continued to tell me how that is not the right style for my face and if I want to follow all "the hype" with big frames, that I was in the wrong store. I found this to be extremely rude and a form of pushy sales tactic. Not the way to get more business, sir. Definitely will never return to this place again.

Great customer service. The staff helped fix our son's existing frames even though they were not purchased from Venus Eye Boutique. This made us a loyal customer as we ended up purchasing a set of frames and lenses for our son. He was able to choose a pair of one of a kind frames which he absolutely loves. Their customer service is unmatched: they are incredibly helpful during the process of choosing new frames, as well as during any adjustments or repairs needed afterwards. I have also found that the lenses they use are of amazing quality, and don't scratch or nick as easily as other lenses I've had in the past.

Just Love this Boutique! I currently own 4 pairs of various designs and always get compliments! The service is second to none and when I slept on a pair, I was taken care of with no fuss or muss! It’s hard to find this kind of attention these days. After finding out the owner designs the frames and that their are so many options for arms for each frame and style, you can’t go wrong. Have been going to Venus Eye Boutique for about nine years and really like the style and design of their frames. Most of their frames all incorporate nose pads which help in the fit of the glasses. The staff are very knowledgeable about the lens options and they can make any pair of glasses fit comfortably. Would recommend a visit if you need glasses and they are also a local business!

Fantastic staff! Super cool and unique designs for all ages, but the BEST part is the warranty! My daughter scratched both lens on her glasses, one at a time, within 6 weeks of each other and getting them replaced was FREE, super easy and fast! Highly recommend!!

As we walked in, we were delighted to see their huge selection of hand-crafted frames. In addition their customer service was top notch and thorough throughout our experience! I visited Venus Eye Boutique in June , 2019 for the first time. I went in looking for sunglasses and came out ordering 3 pairs! 1 pair of sunglasses and 2 pairs of regular glasses. And the warranty! incredible. It was a great experience. I have received so many complements and everyone asks where did you get them! The color choices, the fantastic knowledge by Mike, Brandi and the staff is awesome, they are all extremely helpful in choosing frames/colors I will not go anywhere else for my glasses now and why would I, Mike designs all the glasses!

I was looking for some colour and fun for my new glasses, this was something that just didn't seem to exist anymore, at least not in MB. My aunt who lives in AB had gotten glasses from Venus and told me about them. I was in love right away when I saw all the colourful glasses! Being out of province meant that I couldn't go and see them or try them on, but Brandi was an absolute gem to work with! She sent me pictures and helped me select a few frames to try, shipped them out to me so that I could make the right choice. I selected my pair and sent the others back. In this day and age customer service is severely lacking, the above and beyond effort and time spent helping me out through emails / text / phone was phenomenal!
