Great selection of stylish frames and, most importantly, excellent follow-up customer service. I had unusual issues with frames that didn't fit comfortably. They had no issues with letting me choose a new pair and at no extra cost. Their very professional and attentive service means I will definitely go back to them again for my next pair. Update, 2 years later: again had issues with my lenses. And again, super professional service resolved all my concerns. Will be back again in 2 years time!

Snakes! Given 4 different prices for eye exams & suddenly we were quoted for an UN-NEEDED prescription for the Most expensive lenses. So glad we shopped around at 4 other places. BEWARE!

Today was my first day at Optiks International and I had the best experience ever. I have no words. What a great service! Very professional staff from the front desk to the optometrist. DR. Kris Duguay was very thorough with her exam and answer all questions when needed. Front staff appeared to be exceptional too. Lisset helped me pick the perfect frames and spent time with me answering all questions I had as well. Highly recommended.

Walk in the store at calgary east hills today Saturday dec. 5 really impressed with the covid safety guidelines for no walk in and by appointment only and Alex provided us a quick appointment within a couple of hours. Got the glasses for both my wife and I with ease and provided us with the best options for our budget thanks alex. Now it's up to optiks international at easthills to keep my 5 star ratings when we pick up our prescription glasses in a couple of weeks. Very satisfied so far.

Dr. Kris Duhuay is hands down the most thorough eye doctor I have ever experienced. She takes her time to ensure you get the very best comfort in your vision, and an absolute treat to speak to! I would recommend people even from afar to make the trek to experience this wonderful eye Doctor!! Went back for a second eye exam as my new glasses didn’t feel quite right and I was getting headaches. My doctor redid the exam at no charge to ensure all was good and I was taken care of, against my better judgement I was told from my doctor to wear them for a few hours each day as the curvature of the new glasses would take some getting used to. And as alway she was spot on! My new glasses are amazing and I’m seeing perfect now ! Thank you doctor Kris! You rock!

We were told 3 weeks ,And now it's moving in to 5 weeks, Very unhelpful very disappointed and very disrespectful ,my girlfriend calls my to check to see if my glasses are in they told her to not call back who does that when you spend that kind of money very disappointed!! Worst place in Calgary!! And the receptionist is very ignorant don't deserve to deal with public????????

Terrible service, First of all I went in because I was near the Costco and needed new glasses they had a Sale on at the end of the month. Jody was great at helping me and I was very Clear That I needed Glasses for "reading & Computer", All good paid and said would be ready in a Few Days. I had to have them for p/u at the 130th Location..."FYI" they didn't explain that they were independent of each other and really had nothing to do with each other. When I went to pick them up "Huge Issues" couldn't even see the Computer. The Girl Messed up when I ordered them. She called back few days later offered refund or pay another $229 to get "Office Lenses", I agreed as was frustrated already. Took over 2 weeks to have some one call me that they were finally ready. I had needed a Reciept to submit to my Insurance Company and they sent me the reciepts and it had a LINE THRU IT, the insurance company would not accept it. The Girl told me its there printer and computer( You would think a BRAND NEW STORE would have a Printer/Fax that would work. Very Frustrating and Inconvienient, she said she could mail me a reciept that could take a week to 10 days. When I asked for a refund "SHE LAUGHED AT ME". Will never use or Go to this store ever again and suggest to stay away very poor customer service.

My family and I used to go to lens’s crafters in Marlborough mall and the connected optometrist as well. I was tired of how busy they always were, how long you would have to wait even if you had an appointment, and the thought of my children walking into the mall and getting lost. At east hills optiks international they are one store with one set of doors and they are never very busy. I’m always greeted with smiles when I walk in and they help me when I need it. The optometrist that works there is super nice and explained things to me that no one had before (I’ve been wearing glasses for 10 years) Definitely recommend ????????

Went there for exams and Glasses for my wife and myself. Exams were slow. Very little customer service when picking out frames but the biggest disappointment is they messed up the direct billing of my insurance company. They admitted their mistake but demanded that I come in to pay them for their screw up or they would send the account to collections. This was 4 months after getting the glasses. Advise to not shop here.

I went here to get my eyes tested and get new glasses. I had to get new lenses for my glasses because they kept falling out. When I received the new lenses they were fine for a few months. The lenses started to fall out again. I called them back to say I have the same problem. They told me that they would not do anything because they already replaced the lenses. Well the glass are not even a year old. Find somewhere else to get your new glasses... I will never go back to this place again. They take your money and don't stand behind there workmanship.

I went in late April as I wanted single vision readers with anti-glare. I had eye appointment, the doctor said they could sharpen up my distance etc. Having had previous corrective eye surgery I wasn't having problems with distance. I only wanted readers. They convinced me I had to have progressive lenses. I pick out frames, order the highest quality lenses available for total cost of $1094 ($400 from insurance and $694 I had to pay.) 2 weeks later when my glasses are ready, from the second I put on my new glasses, I knew instantly they were not going to work. I explained again that I only wanted readers with anti-glare for zoom work on my laptop. They made me take 1 pair to "try" and had the second pair made into office or something lenses. 2 weeks later, again the new glasses were not going to work. They told me to take both home to try again. I went back maybe a week later and put it straight out. I ONLY wanted single vision readers with anti-glare coating. So now I'm 6 weeks still waiting for glasses. My biggest concern is she said I don't get any money back. I have worn glasses for 50 years and know single vision glasses are far cheaper than the progressives and she said no refunds. She did say she'd throw in the blue light filter coating on my readers for free though. However I had already paid for all that on the initial lenses. I can't be fooled that easily. I refuse to pay $1094 for 2 pairs of reading glasses, especially since that was what i asked for everytime I was there. Now i am into my 6th week without the glasses I asked for from day 1. They charged my hugely for something I didn't ask for nor need. I didn't check costco, but Walmart price for single vision readers is $379 for 2 pairs, hakim is $399/2 pairs. Both include the frame and anti-glare lenses.

Very poor customer service. I went to this location to purchase new glasses wandered around for at least 5 minutes no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed help although the store was completely empty. I left and will not be going back. Don't waste your time.

Best place in Calgary to get your glasses adjusted, hands down! Excellent customer service and friendly staff! But first I would like to note that I did not purchase my glasses at Optiks International but they still treated me like I did. After a long frustration of visiting many optical places(Lenscrafters, Iris, Pearle etc), not being able to be completely satisfied and with many opticians not being able to recognize the adjustment issues, I then resorted to adjusting my own glasses. Only to realized I was doing more damage than anything. I knew way before my glasses were crooked, lop-sided and hurting my left ear but for some reason nobody could notice why to the point some places were telling me “my glasses were just fine as it is”. It was until I found a lady named Maria this afternoon at the East Hills Optiks International who was able to point out everything I noticed about my glasses. She spent about 45mins adjusting my glasses and made sure I walked out of the store completely satisfied. And I totally am! My glasses are now more fitted and snug, not hurting my ears, not crooked but perfectly adjusted!

Order glasses and they came messed up blurry, so I wanted to return them. The one lady was very rude with me and told me I had to try them for at least two weeks to let my eyes adjust. Same persription I have now only new glasses. Should take two weeks. And way the younger red head lady was awesome! Came and fixed it for me and gave me my money back and was very nice.

bad, never gave me PD #. When i called back to get the PD # they asked me to pay extra for it. I think it should be part of the Prescription. It was my first time getting the eye glasses prescription. I will never go there again.

Worst experience ever. Order glasses online and got twice the quality for half the price. They never gave me the PD # as it was my first time getting the eye glasses prescription i didn't know i would need PD #. Not very knowledgeable doctor. Please don't go there and waste your time and money.

I ordered new lenses for my prescription safety glasses and I was told they would be ready in 2 weeks...no problem. 2 and a half weeks later I call to see what was going on with my lenses, only to learn that the labs in Calgary are not able to cut safety lenses and they are now going to have to send my frames to Saskatchewan to get the lenses put in (which she couldn't give me an estimated timeline) When I asked why i wasn't told about them being sent away or why they weren't already sent away, I was simply told the employee that I dealt with was new and someone should have helped him... very unimpressed and this will be my last time shopping and any optiks International locations (after 7 years) No sort of compensation offered seemed as though she didnt even care that this inconvenience is 100% their fault

So....i cant say how disappointed i am with this company.. The long and short of it was they couldnt get my order straight ....from the right and left lens mixed up in the same glasses....to visable flaws in the lens...i have been back and forth 7 times... Compensation mininal....stay away....not a good experience to say the least

They have been completely UNHELPFUL!! I returned my glasses on December 29th and as of May 17th they have STILL not returned the money to my Blue Cross account. I have called them multiple times and I only have heard back from them once! This is the worst customer service I have encountered in a very long time and I would not recommend them

Booked an appointment for 12:30pm, it was 1:10pm when I had finally asked how much longer to which the receptionist said the doctor was still seeing someone and didn’t know how much longer. Decided to wait another 10minutes to then the receptionist comes back to me and says we can just re-book. Being extremely frustrated at this point after wasting 50min of my time sitting around waiting, I said forget it I’ll go somewhere else. If your doctor is that behind or can’t handle more than 1 client a day, don’t book appointments or be professional and call me ahead of time saying you can no longer see me instead of wasting my time

Prices are outrageous and that is as far as I got. Was quoted $756 for 1 pair with anti-fatigue lenses, went to another place and they had the same frames for $120 less and the total was only $342. Also, the other place told me that anti-fatigue lenses would have been a nightmare with my prescription

Would have gotten a better rating if the didn't break the frame of my Uvex safety glasses when I wanted arms adjusted. The girl first adjusted the bend the wrong way. They taped the arm to the frame and didn't offer any help with the frame. They said I purchase the set in 2015. They did not have my bill from 2018 for a frame replacement.
