Do not go to this crappy place to buy glasses! I had a male salesman that pretty much bullied and pushed for the sale, got the "supposedly" 2 for 1 deal (what a crock!) Ended up paying over $600.00 for the 2 pairs finally after 2 and a half weeks waiting for them went to pick them up and the same guy wouldn't even adjust them! He says "they don't need to be adjusted because they are brand new! What an idiot! I went back a couple of days later to get them adjusted (seeing that they weren't new cause I had been wearing them) and he did some tweeks, went to the back pretty much threw them across the counter at me (finger prints and all) and dismissed me! Like I was putting a crimp in his day! I have always bought my glasses from Costco so I thought I would give this place a try, with so many frames to choose from, but price wise and service stay away, he only wants the sale than treats his customers like dirt! Go to Costco people! Stay as far away from this place as possible it's really not worth you're time or money!

About 8 month ago I went here to get a prescription for my glasses. There eye doctor had a difficult time trying to get my prescription. Than he announces that I'm going blind and there's nothing they can do about it. Gave me an magnetic eye test to do at home and when my eyes start to bleed to go to the hospital. He just left it like that, no real advise. after about six months of watching my sight deteriorate. I finally got angry and went to my family doctor to send me to a specialist or declare me legally blind (already lost my job due to my eye sight). The specialist took one quick look at me and said I can fix that in 5 mins. I'm now in the process of having my eyes repaired. I WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS STORE AGAIN and RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON"T EITHER.

Hakim adjusted my glasses for free, I am hard on my glasses. I was sure the prescription between my safety glasses and everyday glasses. Not sure how how he fixed that but the blurriness when switch my glasses from work to everyday went away. Thank you Hakim on 17 ave SE

Good service, was the ladies greeted me as soon as I came into the store, at both the Marlborough and downtown locations. The girl at the downtown location was excellent she recognized that my daughter had special needs and kept her occupied while I looked and tried on styles. As far as scratched lenses go, whoever made that comment, like anything else, take care of your personal items, and get the scratch resistant coating next time. This will be my third pair from this company, great service and attention to detail

Haque was super helpful, found me a frame for my prescription sunglasses and they even have a discount at 70%. I highly recommend this place!

I ordered my first pair of glasses ever, from this place a month ago. I was told that they would be 2 weeks, and never received a call. Today I was told that they may have been sent back for some reason so maybe they will be ready Friday. I asked the gentleman what he is willing to compensate me for the inconvenience and he said that as a manager, all he can offer is a $50 gift card that I can use for my next purchase, or anyone else can use - no expiry. I asked for $50 off of THIS pair when I come to pick them up and he told me that is against company policy. Of course it is, because most people who are actually paying for their glasses themselves probably don't come back again when service has been poor. I do not recommend this Hakim Optical. The only reason I went to this one is because the one near my home, of which I had heard positive things about, had closed down quite suddenly.

My father in law went to get new lenses for his glasses and ended up getting the wrong prescription 3 times. Forcing him to wear his sunglasses. All while it was dark in the morning and early evening. He had to work using his sunglasses because that's all he had. This put a huge liability on him because you shouldn't wear sunglasses in the dark. When he finally got his lenses put in his frames it was a total of 8 weeks later! All Hakim Optical offered as compensation was 80% off a pair of frames. Really still cost him $100.00 for another pair of frames and he still doesn't have them. Please do NOT deal with Hakim Optical especially at this locations. If I could give 0 stars we would!!!!

I got my glasses here, 2 for 1 and I was happy with the help on picking out my glasses, i recently had to get a pair fixed cause the lens was lose and Haque went above and beyond to get my glasses fixed the same day, would recommend highly

This is my second time for new glasses and the service was fast and efficient. For two pairs, the price was great. The technician did his magic and my second pair we're only $30! He saved me a lot of money, plus I'm able to make payments, thank you for that.

Wow. Reviews do have an impact. Listen up store owners / management. People have a choice on where we shop. Based on the reviews on your location I will NOT be giving you my business. I have recently moved to Calgary from Toronto. Was a regular customer at the Hakim location in Toronto and received outstanding service. Sounds like you could use some lessons on customer service.

This location dose not give valid prescriptions, you can not take this prescription anywhere else to be filled as it dose not have the information that is required to make it valid (The Dr. dose not sign them, or show anywhere that they are an OD it also dose not have there location information on it). They with also not do a refund and will not help you with anything in a timely manner. I would not recommend going there for any reason.

their lenses got scratched in less than 3 months. even a dollar store reading glass lasts longer. when I showed them the scratches and asked for replacement, they simply told me the scratches weren't covered by their policies. I was never as convinced in my whole life!!! I'll never buy from them again

My Husband went and ordered glasses and was told that they would be ready on a Wednesday at 4 but they were not as he was told the lenses were in but did not have the frames and he was going up North for 14 days and would have to wait for the glasses till he gets back.Did not appreciate the lies

I have NEVER in my life had such a horrible pair of glasses. And service is worse. They do not stand behind their products. I went there because of a sale....and have had my glasses just over a year...the anti glare coating is worn off......AND NOT TO MENTION the scratches. I have been wearing glasses for corrective vision for over 40 years. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...GO TO COSTO!! WALMART!! ANYWHERE BUT THESE THIEVES

I walked into the store for the 1st time ever, and the man seemed to be in a rush. They were offering a fair deal on 3 pairs. I made it clear in no uncertain terms that I wanted 1 pair readers, 1pair progressive, and 1 pair safety glasses just for distance. I picked up the readers fairly promptly, but the progressive pair came back single vision! When I questioned this the same man argued that I said single vision, which I made clear in the beginning that was not wanted! I then went back to get the safety glasses almost a MONTH after ordering, which were still not there. When they phoned the lab, they were informed that the lab couldn't grind a prescription into those glasses! WHY DO THEY SELL THEM AT AN OPTICAL OUTLET IF THEY CAN'T MAKE THEM PRESCRIPTION?!?!? Long story short, I'm paying OVER $750 for 2 pairs of glasses, when I was quoted $500 3 pairs! And I still have to buy safety glasses! I will NEVER EVER deal with these people or this operation again!!!

Came in today with a dire need to get my glasses done and I got so incredibly lucky to have Abm Huque and I could not of been more happy with his phenomenal drive to help me in every way that he could. I was having troubles with other optical shops and this one truly saved me right in time to write my final exams. I recommend this store to anyone who is looking to get their glasses done properly and in a timely manner. *They also have an amazing deal now - 60% off when you buy 2 pairs, 3rd pair for only 99$. Bless this man and his work!

This place dont let the customer know if the glasses are ready to pick up or not. They let customer wondering or guessing. I thought it's their job to let us know but they dont. Bad customers service ever. Not recommended

Avoid Crowfoot store in Calgary AB. These people are snobby and condescending and will profile you the moment you walk in their door. I have excellent coverage under my insurance for my family, and these European snobs couldnt be bothered to look up my insurance plan, let alone assist us in finding a pair of glasses. They were too busy staring at walls and changing the garbage cans I guess. WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Go to Pearle Vision, at least those people know who provides their paycheque...the CUSTOMER!

I went to the hakim in Marlborough mall and it is the absolute worst place I have ever been to in my life and I've worn glasses for 15 years!! They said two weeks to get my sunglasses and it was over a month and each week I would call and they couldn't give me an answer . All they did was give me a nicer case and cleaning cloth, which they should supply anyways. The Chinook location, on the other hand, is completely opposite. One of the best experiences I've had!
