I had a wonderful experience at Yukon Eye Care. Last week, I scheduled an appointment with their new doctor. I suffer from problems with dry eyes. I explained my frustrations about my dry eyes to the doctor, and she went through a thorough exam to determine what the problem was. She recommend certain eye drops and medications to help improve my dry eye problems. These procedures seem to be helping, and my dry eye problems are getting better.

Saw this doctor approximately 2 weeks ago. She was great! Very knowledgeable and professional. Took her time to make sure I understood my prescription. VERY expensive though. As someone with no insurance, I have been paying $150/yr for eye exams and the additional contact "fitting." I paid nearly $250 here! I'm new to the area and with everyone else booked out for months due to the pandemic, I had no other option. Also, I've been waiting 2 weeks for my contact prescription to be sent to me. EDIT: 6/9--I've now been waiting nearly 3 weeks for my contact prescription to be sent to me....

Preface: I am an adult with corrective lenses and a more complex eye issue. I was extremely impressed by the level of care and attention that I received at Yukon Eye Care by Dr. Hatley and staff. I scheduled an eye exam for a new prescription and general wellness, and while it took some time to get set up due to the small size of the clinic, scheduling was made very easy and I was able to get an appointment around 2 weeks after my first contact. Not only was my experience here very pleasant, but all of the staff had a good degree of knowledge and the home-turned-office was a very comfortable environment that contained all requisite modern testing equipment. Dr. Hatley spent a lot of time with me both conducting exams and explaining the results, and I did not feel at all rushed like I have in previous optometrist offices. Overall, I would undoubtedly recommend Yukon Eye Care for those who prioritize 'bedside manner' in their choice for an optometrist.

Obviously care more about your money than eye health. Would not see me without charging an additional $35 for an unnecessary procedure that insurance doesn't cover. I tried to opt out explaining I had the digital retinal scan done a year ago and its only recommended every other year and really isn't much better than dialation unless your high risk. Didn't mention it when I booked the appointment, so I had to walk out of office. Silly for them to lose a customer and waste my time like that. The office is in some crappy house with a tiny parking lot in busy area, so I'm happy to find a more professional Dr. anyway.

Had a great experience today at Yukon Eyecare. Did not feel rushed when picking out new eyeglasses. I had my 3 year old daughter with me and the staff kept her entertained while I shopped for new eyeglasses. Employees stayed late on a Friday before a holiday weekend until I found a pair of eyeglasses I liked!
