I like this location because they always have contact lenses on hand when I need it. Last year, I went snowboarding and realized that I did not have any lenses left. After an eye exam, they were able to get it to me right away.

And I was so so so impressed by the service given by Dr. Julie Yoo and her assistant. They both are such amazing people with soo much patience. They help me with the right selection of contact lenses and the examination was superb toooo. Will definitely go back again. Thank You to both of them.

Very disappointed. I was trying to do the OACP test and required the vision test, I told them specifically what I want and the front desk help me book appointment on last Sunday, it got cancel on that Sunday morning because they didn't check the machine, and it was broken. I only available during weekend since I have to work till 1900 Monday to Friday. So they said they will fix the machine and book another weekend, which is today. They called me yesterday to confirm that I will have an appointment with Doc. and I got the phone call this morning said they don't have the program. I can't believe how they can run the whole clinic without make sure what customer want and if they can provide that service. If you want to do business with them, make sure you have a plan B.

I would not purchase new prescription glasses at this place, there is often a turn over of staff at reception who are not qualified nor properly experienced to give advice on what type of glasses one needs and to take proper measurements...etc. Ordering proper glasses according to ones prescription is not to be taken lightly and this place truly rushes through this important process. The person does not take the time to sit down, discuss all different choices nor explain in detail what you are purchasing..etc. There are often interruptions with a person coming in...it is rushed over very quickly...too much money for this kind of service. Dr Yoo however is very professional and takes her time to explain your eye exam, she does an excellent job. Disappointing that the front reception seems overwhelmed and not experienced in the field. They lack organization.

I went there with an appointment for my eye exam. First, they had lost all my information from previous year. Second, doctor wait time with an appointment is 45 mins to 1 hours which is ridiculous. Prices are super expensive. Best is to avoid the place.

I have been here twice now, the first time I felt my eye exam was rushed and that the optometrist was not very thorough in terms of explaining while my eyes were being examined. I was pleased with my eyeglasses in the end. I went again last week and had a wonderful experience with Dr. Julie Yoo. I was looking to purchase new contact lenses. I have astygmagism in both eyes so I have to wear special contact lenses. She truly took the time to explain the various options available as well as their price points, which was much appreciated. The receptionist was friendly and professional as well. I would certainly return again as thr location is extremely convenient as well.

Been going to Dr. Julie Yoo for 6 years now and has been a great experience. She is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and professional. Today during my eye exam I casually asked her about Lasik and she was able to list the pros and cons quickly, along with the different providers and range of pricing. She was also happy to explain to me my prescription and condition in layman terms. I was super impressed.

In short, this doctor does not really care about her patients and only cares about making money. I saw Julie back in Nov 2017 for an eye check up and recently needed to get a piece of information from her regarding my eye health. I requested for a medical summary but was insisted to pay $35 for any records. I even asked if she could transfer directly to my family doctor (not even asking for a full report) and was still insisted to pay the fee. As a last resort, I asked specifically if there was an issue with my pupil response which was the only thing I needed. She said that if there was a problem, I would have said there was. So, I asked around other Optometrist professionals who said that is not common in practice to charge (especially when it is just to transfer to my family doctor). I understand if she's trying to reduce patients from leaving the practice but I have not seen this optometrist for 4 years...The only reason I needed to know this info was to see if these health issues were longstanding. Safe to say I will not be recommending others to come here. Some of my family members that are current patients with her will no longer be her patients.

I've been buying contact lenses from this store for three years. This time I went to pick up my prepaid contact lenses and this store accused me of not paying my bill in December of last year. I paid in full every time I booked, so there is no way I owe them money. I told the front desk this and they told me with a very bad attitude that I didn't pay. I opened my td app, the app and web page only shows up to 120 days of transactions. So I called td to ask for my spending history. I paid in full that day and added the money for the optometry for a total of 355.13. I will not be spending money at this store again, they are not responsible and told me after I checked the bill that they read it wrong. Their front desk attitude is so bad and did not give me a single apology.

The eye exam is good but avoid buying their products. When I purchased new glasses from them I was faced with very long delays and sloppy work. Instead of providing solutions they tried to convince me that there is no way around it and wanted to get rid of me. The problem did get fixed at the end after receiving a lot of attitude and around 1.5 months of headache.

Went in for couple's eye appointments. Service was fine, but the actual exam took far longer than it should have. Much time spent waiting with dilated pupils. Dr. was uninterested in answering questions and second guessed my "1 or 2" responses.

While applying mascara in the morning, being half asleep, I ended up scratching my eye with the mascara wand. I flushed my eyes out multiple times, but I was still in so much pain. I looked up the nearest eye doctor's office to where I live and I ended up here. The office was able to schedule me in right away and Dr. Julie took a look and she helped heal my wounded eye. Now my eye is back to normal. I am a happy and grateful client.

This is Paola Boffo. I saw Dr Yoo for an ocular emergency. I sent her an email on a Saturday evening and received a reply within minutes! Dr Yoo told me to come in first thing the next morning (on a Sunday). I received a thorough eye exam and was given drops along with a follow up apt. Dr Yoo was very kind, professional and thorough and I am grateful that she is open for emergencies and was willing to see me during this pandemic. I would recommend her to all.

Went in to get measured and all for laser eye surgery. The staff were all great and friendly, but the receptionist asked if I had to pay or not. I was told it would be a free consultation so she accepted that, but seems like it's not a standard practice whether or not patients pay for that service. Next I went to a series of machine with some wonderfully kind and young staff, it was very quick and they were happy to answer all my questions and I was done for that session. Following this there was one follow up call with a lady regarding the cost and if I wanted to proceed. I asked about the healthcare worker discount that is advertised on the website, she didn't know about it but she said she would ask. Never heard back from that day regarding price. I received a follow up voicemail stating my scheduled appointments. I tried to call back to the clinic to confirm, but the wait times were ridiculous. seems like they wanted to pencil me in without verbally confirming if I could make it or not, Which I would think is important since I would need to make sure it fits my schedule (including recovery time). Could never reach through to the clinic since their line is always so busy, and never got a call back. I didn't feel accommodated or valued as a customer. I felt like I was just another appointment to pencil in at their convenience. For the price that laser is and how important my eyes are to me, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Dr. Julie Yoo and her assistant (an young lady) are one of the best health care professionals I've come across. They take the time to listen, explain and assist. The wait time was approx. 20 minutes (despite having an appoinment), but overall - it's a positive experience.

The eye exam part was really good with Dr. Yoo she takes her time and explain everything in the process she is doing. My issue was that i ordered my glasses prescription from their clinic and it was hectic until i finally got my glasses. I was told it will take 1 week to be ready yet it took more than 6 weeks and communication was not at its best with the staff there as every time i called to follow up and see what is causing the delay i get no answer but “ oh i will check with the other girls and call you back” yet they never call back until i call again. It was never explained why my order got so late and never even apologized for that. Eye exam is good but i do not recommend getting their products.

The other doctor is Dr. Haiying Wu and I had only one experience with her but I felt like she was just money grabbing. Never met the third doctor Dr. Saad. Very well stocked, staff are readily available to help you with whatever your needs may be. The staff are friendly and the place is very open. I needed an eye exam to buy contact lenses, as I was heading up north for snowboarding that evening. I had my eyes checked, new prescription and was able to pick up my contact lenses on the spot, I love it. Overall it was better than I would have expected.

It's been well over 6 years since my last eye exam and the doctor still remembered who I was and had all of my information on file. I booked an appointment for 5:45pm and was promptly seen by the doctor as soon as I arrived. The doctor took her time with the examination and I did not feel rushed at all. Answered all of my questions with great knowledge and patience and provided great recommendations on how to keep my eyes healthy. I probably won't have another eye exam for another few years, but if I do, I will definitely be coming back here.

I called in to ask price first for contact fitting, the receptionist (a young girl) said total is $105, then I decided to go. After did a full eye exam, the Dr. Cheung said need pay extra $55 to do a contact fitting, which is ridiculous! I told her that the receptionist said price will be $105 total, but they insist if you need to do a contact fitting, will pay extra $55, and the price still higher than average (ave $35)! Even I did the contact fitting after and asking for the prescription for the contact lens, the receptionist said again that “we do not provide physical prescription for contacts”, what a joke. But the Dr. Still provide it. The eye exam results are very different than my previous one, not sure is something wrong with my previous exam or this one, but feel this place will never go again!

As much as I love Dr. Yoo, I am quite disappointed with their after service. There was suppose to be a few referrals based on the annual exam. I had followed up more than 4 times by phone and even tried to email them multiple times. The receptionist on the phone always tell me they'd get back to me and they Never... Quite frustrating honestly. I've been with this clinic for few years now and never had this issue in the past. Not sure what is going on.

Over all I have to say that my experience at North York eye clinic was not the best! Though when I went in both doctors were very warm and professional. I have to be honest though when I went in for my eye exam I found it a bit rushed and also not done properly. What I mean by this is that in the examination Room the doctor left the door opened so therefore light seeping from the hallway came in the Room when I was supposed to be completely dark. I found it quite hard to focus when they were changing the lenses and they were doing them quite fast. That is why I believe that both perceptions that were written for me are not the right one and caused me severe headaches and to be dizzy and nauseated. I wish I could give this clinic a 5 star But I can't As for their customer service and the front desk I found the receptionist to be quite unprofessional a and her attire was not appropriate I believe wearing jeans in an office in a medical setting is not appropriate.

Later, she not refused to admit that it was her fault, and also hung up my phone, which made me very angry. And her attitude not good. This is a mistake caused by the front desk. I hope she can be fired. Such employees should not influence the business of the hospital

I was referred to a specialist by the clinic, but they "forgot" to inform me that the fee to see the specialist was an additional $125. The specialist clinic showed me the documents forwarded to the eye dr and it was clearly stated that they were to inform the client of the additional fees. Very upset and will not ever be returning to this eye clinic.

I like how they're open a bit later so I don't have to leave work early and the doctor I saw was very friendly. However, I visited 3 times over the past 2 months and had to wait 30 min for 2 visits and 20 min for another when I made an appointment ahead of time... The exams were fine but, I wished the doctor reviewed my file prior to seeing me because on my last two visits, she asked what I was in for.

The wait was long, Dr Wu wasn't friendly at all (get an appointment with Dr Yoo!), and the prices are high. I booked an appointment but still had to wait for half an hour before seeing the doctor. After I came out, I literally waited for another half an hour for the receptionist to order my glasses and deal with payment, during which she answered many phone calls and patients' questions. Looks like they could really use more receptionists. The eye exam itself only took about an hour but I was there for over two hours, wow. I came here after reading all the comments about the doctor being friendly and everything, but only until now I realized those were all for Dr Yoo. I had Dr Wu and she literally ruined my mood for the day. She seemed really impatient when comparing lenses for me and was pretty mad about my clumsiness. Finally, the exam and glasses prices are higher than where I used to go. Will not come back again. :(

I went in to North York Eye Clinic to see Dr. Julie Yoo for my red eye. I had scratched my eye by being careless. Dr. Yoo prescribed antibiotics for my eyes and applied a bandage lens and a few days later, my eyes were as good as new. I'm thankful that the clinic was close by and the service was great.

I had an emergency eye exam here due to an ongoing red eye issue that would not get better. Having suffered for 2 weeks, after buying various eye drops at Shopper's Drug Mart, I finally gave up and had my eye checked out. It turns out it was not an infection but inflammation. She gave me a prescription for drops and within 3 days it was back to normal.

Needed a convenient place to do full eye exam and this one was the closest to my home. I sent an email and after a few days of no response I went in person and I got appointment within 30 minutes. So, my guess is that nobody is reading emails or they have a broken link on their web site. Do it by phone or in person if you are in the area. Except this glitch everything else went in very positive manner. Office is spotlessly clean, orderly, pleasant and Dr. Julie Yoo was great. She was very thorough and knowledgable and whole experience was great. They do have a very good selection of frames, so my next visit will be eyeglasses fitting with a full confidence that they will do superb job again. Highly recommended.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I certainly would. I should have looked at the reviews of this office before attending. I have been there twice now and I can only say to find a different doctor. The first time, I was waiting for over 4 hours for my scheduled appointment. I find it incredibly disconcerting that they expect every patient to wait that long for a scheduled appointment. I thought it might have just been that particular day so I decided to keep my follow up appointment. This time, I confirmed that I would have the earliest possible appointment and that I would be seen as close as possible to my appointment time. No luck with this office. I arrived for my appointment 30 minutes early (the office had just opened and I was the first person in). At 10:30 I had still not been called in so I asked what is the delay as my appointment was several hours earlier. The staff at the desk are incredibly rude and just keep repeating "that's how doctor's offices work". Utter nonsense. After advising them that I have to leave - they said that I will be responsible for the cancellation fee of 100$. I don't think so. I didin't cancel the appointment - they did not keep the schedule. I don't see them paying me for not keeping the appointment. Will certainly not be going back to this office. I hope this review helps someone else and prevents them from getting the horrible level of customer service at this office. Happy to take your money but they do nothing regarding their patients care. RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER Absolutely sure. Several hours were wasted waiting for the office staff to try to find my account - but they just kept me waiting until there was a free spot. Horrible way to treat patients.

Broke my glasses at work and I went to the Hakim across the street who told me that their eye dr. was not in so I came to this place. They took me in, examined my eyes, gave me an updated script for new glasses, they gave me contact lenses so I could at least see to go home and function for the rest of the day. To top it off, they also billed my insurance so I didn't have to pay. Quick walk-in, good service and it was easy peasy.

I live near Yonge and Finch, so in terms of location, it was great. Friendly staff and nice, easy to approach eye doctor. My eye exam was thorough and a bit long. But my new glasses work great and give me high definition vision. It was a simple process to order contact lenses from here and the doctor recommended the newest and best brand of contact lenses. I'm a happy customer. :).
