My previous stepfather got Lasik done here about 10yrs ago and has had no problems till this day so I decided to check it out and emailed Brittany about scheduling a free consultation. Sadly as luck found it I lost my job at that time and was no longer able to get the surgery but even after telling Brittany, she continued to be helpful and even sent me one of those prewritten things you get from the doctor's office but with a little helpful note and when I got my new job I emailed her immediately. Turns out I was able to get PRK surgery. And I got my surgery on the 19th of April and it's now the 24th of April and I'm waking up able to see everything so clearly. I've cried numerous amounts of times because I am seeing the world and nature with my own eyes again without any corrective lenses needed. I've had glasses since I was about 5 and I am now 20 so you can imagine I have a lot of sights to see still. Every single step of the way everyone at Eyes Of York was very friendly and answered every question I had. Most importantly Brittany made me feel calm and confident in the procedure and thanks to her I was no longer nervous about anything. I'd like to thank Dr. Benz on doing my surgery and helping me get the gift of clear vision back again. So a special thank you to Brittany Plank. You're an amazing person and I couldn't have done any of this without you. Would highly highly recommend Eyes Of York to anyone thinking about getting eye correction surgery.

I've been to two ophthalmologists before seeing Dr. Patel. He looked for the cause of my dry eye and outlined the best treatment for me. No one else bothered to look into the why so it could be fixed or better managed. He also explains everything so I understand what is going on.

Best decision I ever made was to get Lasik done at Eyes of York. They have the most friendly staff and walk you through every detail of what is going to happen, and what the best option is for you specifically. On the day of my surgery- everyone was so caring, reassuring and gentle with my well-being. Afterwards, they check in with a phone call a few hours after surgery and have follow up appointments the day after, and then periodically to make sure that everything is 100%. It's an incredible experience, and I highly recommend Eyes of York for any type of eye care.

Yesterday, I returned to Eyes of York for my annual eye exam. Every year I continue to be impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, and knowledge. EVERY person of the staff is exceptional. Amazing place. Great atmosphere. All technicians are very nice and friendly. Dr. Visco is fantastic and very knowledgeable. I had SMILE surgery done last year and procedure went great and all follow ups since have been great. Unfortunately I still have halos at night, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Cataract surgery on first of two eyes 3/21/18. I had some anxiety but the staff got me settled in nicely. The procedure went very well; Dr. Visco is very talented. I had no pain other than the small needle stick at the beginning. I can already read without my glasses from a computer screen that's about 17" away. What a great technology and staff at Eyes of York. I can't say enough.

Posting for my father. He had surgery on both eyes and can see worse then before he had the surgery. Also has scar tissue on one eye and has not been scheduled to fix that issue. Surgery was Feburary of 2020, March 2020 and its now middle of july 2020 and still cant see any better also need to get glasses and cant till they fix the scar tissue. Dont recommend this place.

I was a new patient due to having a stye on my eye. They were able to get me in on the same day I called and was very thankful for that. Doctor treated my stye with ointment and antibiotics for 10 days. Made an appointment for two week just in case it didn’t go away. Unfortunately, the stye was not fully gone. I saw the doctor and was told that it was not gone and would have to be removed. Instead of doing it at this time I have to wait 2 more weeks! (next available appointment). I’ve been waking around with a swollen, blurry eye for 2 weeks already and now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get the lump removed! I understand that my condition is not urgent but only 1 doctor does this procedure and why did I make a 2 week appointment? To tell me the lump needs to be removed? Didn’t need a doctor to tell ne that! If I would of known only 1 doctor does the removal I would have asked to see him the first time I went. My 2 week appointment should have been scheduled for the removal. I have a co-pay every time I go so this will be co-pay #3. Asked if I could be on the waiting list for cancellations. Was told they didn’t have that but I can call in to see if there were any. One eye is costing me time and a small fortune. Didn’t want to write this sounding like they were unprofessional which was not the case. Maybe a little too professional and did not show empathy or even pretend to care that I’ve will be dealing with this for a month.

After seeing two specialists, one local through Wellspan and one from The Johns Hopkins Hospital, I was advised that surgery was needed to correct a duct issue. Seeking one more opinion, I located Eyes of York and Doctor Luzuriaga. After a thorough examination,I was given a prescription as the first course of action in an attempt to cure the duct issue. Three days into the prescription and the problem was eliminated! Surgery was avoided, the duct improved and I found my long term Doctor At Eyes of York. From the first phone contact, the courtesy at reception and the professional care and attention, I am a satisfied patient.

I had my PRK surgery here with Dr. Benz and have nothing but great things to say. Anything dealing with your vision is quite scary, and the entire staff at Eyes of York provided me the knowledge and comfort to make the experience not nearly as bad as anticipated. The actual surgery was so quick and Dr. Benz explained everything during it- what I would see, how long it would take, etc. Very calming. I even recall hearing a nurse counting down when the Dr mentioned "this will take 20 seconds". I specifically remember how kind Brittany was prior to the surgery, dealing with my pre-surgery anxiety and answering all my bizarre questions (I google'd way too much before the surgery). Post surgery, I forget her name (maybe Ana?), but a very kind nurse gave me drops/ice pack and even held my arm while walking me to my vehicle. Seriously. Think about that. They held the customer's arm and walked them to the car. These are the nicest people I ever met. Every person encountered was compassionate and took their time with me. I did not feel rushed or pushed for unnecessary services like you hear about the chain LASIK/PRK places. If you're on the edge and looking for a place in York for PRK, I 100% recommend Dr. Benz and the staff at Eyes of York.

I was very satisfied with the cataract surgery on my left eye in November. Dr. Benz is very good; understanding and showed genuine care because I was very nervous! Now that my left eye is done I am so ready to have my right eye done. Now I do not have anything to be nervous about. Laura was the nurse in pre-op. She is also very good. My veins were very difficult to find but she got it on the first try. The person I had for anesthesia explained everything so I could understand and answered my questions. Overall I am so glad that I went to Eyes of York.

A Dr. at another office told me I had glaucoma and was going to start treatment on me. I was very upset and was determined to seek a second opinion. I started searching the Internet for Doctors in the area. After reading all of Dr. bios for Eyes of York I gave them a call. Marci set me up quickly with Dr. Luzuriaga. I was relieved when told by Dr. Luzuriaga I did not have glaucoma and will be closely monitored by her to ensure my eyes stay healthy. I have had 5 visits so far and the staff from beginning to end of each visit are complete professionals. I will be a patient for life and I thank them all.
