My first visit, I was greeted right away. Awesome customer service. Dr. Parker was kind, and informative. Deja made me laugh, helped me pick out a great pair of glasses, and at a great deal. The young man that conducted my initial test was great also. I have found a home.
I purchased glasses here twice, and both times my lenses would not stay in the frames. The employees were nice and courteous. They tried heating the glasses, but that only fixed the issue for an hour or so. I just recently purchased glasses from another retailer, and I can see a big difference in the lenses fit and clarity. Needless to say I will not be purchasing glasses at Vision Works anymore due to the poor craftsmanship.

I absolutely loved the doctor and staff. The doctor was so personable and truly cared and took his time. I guess 30+ years of experience will do that for a doctor :) Although the place was very busy, the staff managed to help everyone in a timely manner and they were all upbeat and cheerful. Christina H. I had my glasses break before a funeral and she repaired that and cleaned them along with my other glasses. A new "go to" place for future glasses. Customer service was as if she was the owner!
Store was open for special hours today, Sunday December 30th...Truly appreciated this convenience. Deja, the Associate, is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful with assisting my daughter and I. We will surely return in 2019 for eye exam and new eyewear ????.
Got the first pair, went back for the second pair, waited for an hour until finally had to leave because they were understaff. Came back just to find out that the prescriptions are out of date and they'd made a mistake to even do the first pair. Booked an appointment for eye exam, and their doctor cancelled in the morning because of snow! Low quality, cheap, unprofessional service and untrained staff. A true "fast-food" style shop for your eye needs I believe.
My son and I had appointments on Monday 9/27/2021 at 10 am and 10:20am (the first appts of the day). We arrived at 10:03am and the doors were locked. The sign on the door notes that the location opens at 10am. There was a lady at the receptionists counter on the phone and motioned to me "Just one minute". It took more than one minute and I immediately felt uncomfortable thinking my experience here was not going to be a positive one. The young lady ended her call, unlocked the door and returned to the counter, "How may I help you?" I advised we had appointments. She immediately got us up and running handling both my son and me at the same time. The doctor also saw us together, which I appreciated. After our eye exams, we returned to the front of the store to chose our frames and have that step of out appts handled by the same girl that helped us as we entered the store. More people started coming into the store and she greeted them with patience and respect. While we sat there, I noticed the store had almost 15 people including my son and me, a heating and cooling technician there for a service call, and a man who came in just to ask for a mask to use elsewhere (now THAT was funny). She asked us if we would excuse her so she could greet and get each person started as they entered the store. I soon realized she was juggling all of this alone. When she returned, I asked her for her name and she kindly told me her name was Deja. She also informed me that her boss called to say she had car trouble and would not be in so she was working alone. I told her she was doing a fantastic job. This young lady juggled all of the people in the store, handled their "issues" and they were on their way, all the while trying to make sure I had the best deal on 2 pair of glasses for me and 1 pair for my son. I don't often give reviews, but I was compelled to let everyone know the wonderful job Deja did handling this store and the volume of customers within the 2 hour span that my son and I were there. We also talked about a few artists on the radio laughed about an incident that reminded her of a cartoon character that I am not familiar with at all. Deja is in her 20's, I am in my 50's... so that's that (SMILE). I have only positive thoughts about my visit yesterday and look forward to receiving my glasses in the next few weeks.
I've been to a lot of optometrists and I would rank my experience at this one as up there in the top tier, especially when factoring price for an eye exam, which was significantly lower than other places I checked with. It was easy to schedule my appointment, got one much sooner than I expected. Dr. Rosario-Avillan was very professional, considerate, and patient through my eye exam – I have an eye condition that makes it very important to me that I take my time picking between the "1"s and "2"s during the exam, and she was very understanding of that. She made sure I understood everything and asked if I had any questions. Then. while picking out frames. the gentleman who helped me was patient, offered feedback and suggestions, and actually cared to help me find a pair I liked. One drawback is the frames do add up in price quickly, however really, the prices are right in line with other optometrists in the area. If you're interested in a reasonably priced exam, I definitely recommend them.
I came here to fix a scratch in my glasses, which I had purchased from a Visionworks in Ann Arbor. The service here was excellent - the staff worked with me and my insurance plan to replace my glasses at minimal cost (unfortunately the scratch was too deep to repair, and required new lenses). They also helped adjust my glasses quickly - I find this can be a tricky process depending on where you go. The Visionworks in Ann Arbor wasn't great at this. I would recommend this location to anybody!
The last time I went in and had an exam and had to get glasses, the girl selling me glasses was rushing me and didn't properly measure my face, so the glasses I got don't fit.
I haven't been to an eye doctor in many years. From the setup of the appointment, to the exam itself, and especially the help of Deja, this was a totally quality experience. The doctor did myself and my sister together and was very professional and thorough. Deja, walked us through choosing, deciding, and all charges and helped us make all decisions. She was efficient, professional, and very friendly, even as more and more customers we're entering the store. Deja personally greeted each customer who entered the store, all while making us feel we were the focus of her attention. I returned 2 weeks later to pick up my glasses, right after lunch. There were six of us admitted to the store after reopening from lunch. Deja was the only employee in the store, but handled all customers quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Even the one customer who was complaining about how has glasses we're flexible, even though that's the way they were made. I was very happy with all aspects of my visit to this Visionworks and would recommend them to everyone.. I would like to note that Deja was an exceptional employee and they were lucky to have her.
I tried them for the first time after going to America's Best for the past 10 years & multiple eye glass stores before that. They had the best customer service I have ever had & they have the best selection of glasses. I fully recommend them.
I was a little nervous to try this place, but i actually had a great experience here. The doctor was very kind, patient, and helpful. Two super friendly employees went out of their way to help me pick out frames, giving many suggestions until we found the right pair. No pressure to sell me anything, either. Thanks!
Worst place ever my son's appointment was at 3:45 got there at 3 and waited till 4:10, I couldn't wait any longer and left . Don't waste your time with this branch.
I made appointment for 2:40 pm and I arrived on time. They said there are 2 people ahead of me so I am patiently waiting. However, there are another 2 people walk in and I already wait for 1 hour! I ask why and they said , an walk in will be ahead ? I am shocked, and leave . total waste my time
I was provided outstanding service from Ciara & staff from the time I entered the store, properly greeted, social protocols were in place, temperature check, use of hand sanitizer, face mask. Ciara made the process of picking out frames very easy and smooth.
They are very nice. Customer service kudos. However, my prescription wasn't right. There weren't nose pads on the glasses. But they didn't bat an eyelash when it came to returning everything. Would recommend.
I went here to find some glasses. They were very helpful and helped me walk around and choose the right glasses for me. They gave me there honest opinion on how the glasses looked on my face and worked with me to figure out the price. I am very happy with my glasses purchase and the price that I got them for :)

Excellent customer service! I was a walk-in customer and was given an eye exam appt. within an hour. Everyone there was very accommodating, from working within my budget to helping choose the right frames for my face, and the doctor even explained my diagnosis that I had from a previous exam elsewhere that I wasn't even aware I had! My glasses were even ready to be picked up before promised. ???? I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! ????

Called for my appt. Got a same day appointment which would of been today. But when I talked with the staff Sierra especially she as well as her coworkers we're very rude as well as unprofessional. She was acting as if I was a bother because she apparently is incompetent of doing her job. This deserves a zero star. I do not recommend anyone going here as you may be made to feel like you're a bother. No wonder why they happen to be the only place not booked 3 weeks into December.
It was my first time visiting this new Vision Works location. Everyone on staff was very helpful and friendly. I had my exam done at another optical center and was looking for some different design options. They have a great selection of frames for women, men and kids as well as a clearance section of reduced frames. There's a wide range of prices and design styles to choose from including designer styles. The staff was always there if you had questions or needed assistance. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for new a new vision provider that's friendly and easy to get in and out of. Thanks to everyone who greeted and assisted me - special thanks to Shantelle for her great customer service and knowledge! Looking forward to my new glasses and sunglasses. I highly recommend this place. I came in with a very difficult 5 year old and everyone there helped calm his nerves and provided excellent service. Overall, they exceeded my expectations.
Literally go anywhere else. The two girls at the counter clearly hate their jobs and are rude every single time. Told her my glasses didn't fit after my pair came in that was supposed to be identical to the one I was replacing. The lady basically lied about it and gave me a pair of used frames they had in store. Couldn't use my glasses on my vacation even after I told her they didn't fit.
We took my fiance's son here for his first real eye exam and the staff and doctor were stoo patient and helpful. They really cared to make sure he received a full eye exam. Definitely will return to this location!

Visionworks looks like a very professional office. I do have a couple of concerns - Scheduling on line via the internet seems rather easy - I had to change my appointment and tried to call someone to do that, system is very clucky, and just decided to cancel the appointment instead. Easier to cancel than reschedule, this gave me a bad taste about the place - So I decided to use the on-line scheduling again, this time was able to get a quick appointment, not a problem there. - when I go to the place for the first time, looked clean and not many people in the building, very clean, bright and assistance up front were friendly enough - Then when we started to discuss the appointment, I was asked for a $29 Co-Pay.... I pointed out the contract with Davis Vision calls for a $10 co-pay. the Assistant started to try and explain something about COVID and a Retinal exam, neither of which are in my contract. I hope that no one goes to a car dealership and has a sales person triple up the cost of their vehicle when they're about to pickup their vehicle. - I'll schedule an appointment with another provider before I entertain a blatant dis-regard of the contract. If I cannot find one, then the discussion will be with Davis Vision = It's a principle thing going on here and with the lack of personal contact when trying to schedule an appointment, I just could not proceed. Hence this review.

Made me wait 1.5 hours after taking off my contacts. Wasnt even an evening or weekend appointment. They asked me to come 15 mins earlier than my set time, sent me literally 5 reminders by phone call, text, email and yet they themselves cannot even commit to an appointment time. Ended up walking out.
This place is amazing. I took my son in for a eye exam after having a very bad first time experience with Redford Optical in dearborn on Ford Rd the lady was so rude compared to Visionworks. First I was Greeted with such a nice smile and warm welcome by Madelyn. F she was very sweet and welcoming. Then the doctor Carlos Moutanez-Lopez who I cant say enough nice things about was so very patient with my son and he really went the extra mile to give him the best exam. My son was very nervous because of his experience at the other place. Dr. Carlos was super sweet and would even stop in the middle of the exam just to let him have a break and walk around in the hallway because he could tell he was frustrated. I can honestly say he treated my son like family or is if he was his own son. I can honestly say he genuinely cares about the health of his patients. This will be the only place I will ever go to or Recommend.Once again thank you so very much To everyone at Visionworks and god bless you all
The Doctor was very attentive and detail oriented. The technical staff were helpful with picking out glasses and getting us the best price. They were friendly and informed on insurance info. Overall a great experience.
I got 3 text messages confirming my appointment time with details/instructions, scheduled my day around it, and was turned away at the door because it was "not a real appointment." Incredibly unprofessional.
