Completely ruined the vision in my mother in law’s eye. Bad vitrectomy. Resulted in 2 years of pain and the procedure actually caused glaucoma. Had to go to London IVEY Eye Institute for the other eye and they really know what they’re doing. Once macular/retina hole is diagnosed and vitrectomy is needed the procedure should be done right away ASAP. He made her wait 8 months, the staff secretly said that Dr Tafour waits until he has enough people where he can do the procedures in bulk with lots of patients. Lots of nurses, pharmacists also have stories about him.

I had custom Lasik done with Dr. Tayfour 12 years ago. Within the first few months of my initial surgery I had to go for a touch up because my night vision wasn't quite perfect but after that it was actually better than 20/20. 12 years later and today I have 20/20 vision without any complications. It was one the best decisions of my life, scary but worth it.

Dr. Tayfour and his team are truly amazing and professional! I just finished cataract surgery on my second eye. Now I have excellent HD near vision in my right eye and excellent HD distance vision in my left eye. The two surgeries were done in the hospital under the OHIP program and I paid extra for the premium HD lens. The experience was totally painless and with the Conscious Sedation drugs I don't remember the actual surgery. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Tayfour. Now I won't have to bother with glasses for the rest of my life! ????

I had my surgery in 2004 , best thing i ever did now one of my eye is getting worse but thats completely normal i was already told by numerous doctors before my surgery it would happen so getting ready for another lasik surgery. Not aure about some of these reviews on here my experience was great .

My eyes are ruined after Lasik . I have scars around my corneal flap that distorts my vision. Dr. Tayfour refused to treat me for these scars he caused. My vision is not correctable with glasses anymore.

Dr. Tayfour did my LASIK surgery in the early 2000s (distance in one eye and close-up in the other). So far it has served me well. I was very happy with the way Dr. Tayfour treats his patients. I searched for him today in case I ever need to go back and I am glad I found him here.

Dr. Tayfour has changed my life twice. The first time was with LASIK nearly 15 years ago and the second time was this past Wednesday, 8.8.18, when he performed double cataract surgery. I was legally blind when Dr. Tayfour performed my LASIK, and the success of that procedure made me a new person. Now, at age 64 when it was clear my vision was deteriorating, I returned to this skilled surgeon for cataract correction. I am currently 48 hours post-surgery and typing this review without glasses, squinting, or holding the computer screen close to my eyes, an impossibility on Monday. In addition to being a consummate ophthalmologist, Dr. Tayfour is soothing, reassuring and spends time with a patient as necessary. His staff is superb (I wish we lived closer so we could be friends with them), his facilities are top-notch, and his results have been spectacular with absolutely no discomfort or pain. We cannot recommend him more highly.

Don't mean to be the Debbie Downer but I had lasik , laser done 6 times on my left and 5 times on my right , it was good for about a year and now I wear glasses again .

He made my husband blind in his left eye, he did a surgery and he break his retinal detachment. He didn't say that to my husband, another dr. sow him and tell him the truth. He doesn't care about his patients, the most important for him is the money.

I went there at the height of his service. 2000 He not only damage my right eye but his office and him denied any doing in it. I ended up in ER Could not see for 3 days. I do not recommend ever going to Canada for any medical service I had no recourse. Absolutely amazing, I went at 9 am today, (october 30 2020). It is 12 hrs later and the improvement in my vision is unbelievable. Bilateral cataract surgery, Dr. Tayfour is professional, very knowledgeable, gentle. I felt really secure with him. I was nervous involving eyes, but honestly, I cannot believe the difference. . His staff is a team, for sure. They were warm, knowledgeable, friendly, on time, patient. Overall, it began as a very scary experience to me and ended up a blessing.
