Aside from being a great doctor he is amazing with children. His staff are extremely friendly too. Funny while we were there my family doctor came in for an appointment with her mother. It was another doctor who referred me to dr Hawkeswood :) would recommend

It is very obvious that Dr. Hawkeswood does not care about his patients. It feels as if he's angry that you even showed up, like you're not worth his time. My mother has been a patient of his for nearly 10 years. Her glaucoma was detected early on, and he sent her to receive surgery in London to prevent the disease. Not only did he keep an inaccurate record of this surgery, but proceeded to check her vision yearly with no indication that anything was wrong. This year, we found that over 50% of her vision in one of her eyes was gone. His incompetency has resulted in my mother's late detection of glaucoma progression. In addition, he lacks responsibility for his poor patient care. He told us that he was retiring (which we later learned was a lie) so that my mother wouldn't see him for her glaucoma. I have never witnessed an OD as unprofessional and inept.
