Just the facts. - Paid for eye exam - declined their expensive name brand glasses - received prescription - a few days later informed by email they did not have room for me at their practice - exhausted insurance coverage on new glasses elsewhere - used the prescription they gave - glasses were out of focus in one eye - went to another optometrist - paid out of pocket for another eye exam - WAY DIFFERENT RESULTS - Second optometrist confirmed Spectrum gave me and charged me for the wrong prescription. SPECTRUM, get your act together. Perhaps you should have a section for circus footwear, because obviously you have clowns doing some of the work here.

I have been going to Spectrum Optometry for many years. During that time I've experienced problems with my vision and have always been grateful for Dr. Michelle's knowledge and professionalism in diagnosing and dealing with each problem. Thanks to her my vision remains sharp. In additiion I've had opportunity to refer people with disabilities who are not able to work with typical doctors to her. I've been amazed at her ability and willingness to spend the extreme amount of extra time needed to provide them with the time and support necessary to insure they get the finest of care. both me wife and I are consistently pleased with the caliber of support, the professionalism of Michelle, Matthew and all their colleagues. I can't imagine getting vision support anywhere else. I highly recommend Spectrum Optometry.

After many years of annual eye exams, I was dumped, given an excuse the other optician left. Now I see they are looking for new patients. I can only assume because I didn’t buy the overpriced eyewear I wasn’t worthy of this establishment. That’s an awful way to treat paying customers. Beware.

I've been in to see Matt and Michelle twice for glasses and both times I was treated like a VIP. My eye exam was enjoyable and I felt very comfortable during the whole process. I would highly recommend Spectrum for anyone that is looking for a quality eye doctor and company that will take care of you far beyond just your initial visit.

Friendly and approachable staff, makes lots of jokes, and great clean environment. Mediocre choice of music and comfortable seating. Seating looks (or feels) new. They have a great selection of glass frames, usually not many people, so the seating is usually great. Knowledgeable staff, and good smelling environment. Unlit fireplace makes the place seem more friendly and they have a coat rack in case you have a coat. They also have a child play area for when your child waits, with a mediocre selection of toys and a large amount of books. They also have magazines for reading such as “FASHION” and “POPULAR MECHANICS.” SPECTRUM Optometry also has great location, though you have to climb up a flight of stairs. Parking is also very good and clean. But cellular phones are not allowed while in the clinic, though this isn’t enforced. They have paintings which also brighten the mood. Overall great optometrist, and I would highly recommend coming here if you think or you know you need a new pair of glasses, or need to have your glasses fixed.

She and her staff truly care about your well being and are very thorough. The office has a fantastic atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. I now live in Burnaby and I still drive back to White Rock just to see them, and I cannot imagine getting the same quality of service or kindness from any other optometry office!

I've worn progressive lenses for about 13 years (three pairs of glasses) now and have hated it until recently; the constant adjusting to peer through the proper part of the glasses. I didn't know any better thinking it was the norm for dealing with progressives. I highly recommend Yari for your optician at Spectrum if you are going to be fitted. I don't recall anyone before being so thorough as she was and, in the end, both my wife and I are actually enjoying our new progressive glasses and wear them almost all the time. So, ask for Yari.

I have just removed my original review after a discussion with Dr. Elliot as I now feel it was a little harsh. I understand her problem and her inability to keep all of her patients, as she has no full time assistant. However I still question the method used to terminate patients especially as my wife and I have been terminated after being very loyal patients for 20 years!

My daughter and I have been going here for 3 years, this business is second to none in thourough eye exams, customer service, quality products and friendly staff. There is an elevator to the second floor location to provide handicap and mobility challenged access.

My husband, myself and our kids have been going to Spectrum for 17 years. We just received a letter in the mail saying we will no longer be able to be patients at Spectrum anymore and should look elsewhere for an optometrist. No personal phone call explaining the situation. I assume it is because we only get our eye exams done there and don't purchase their frames and lenses. Nice. I guess this is what happens when greed overtakes care and pride in what you do. Don't worry - we will gladly look elsewhere!

I had an amazing experience today and learned so much! They were able to find my main issue was actually the muscles focusing causing me the most issues over my actual very slight prescription. They suggested relaxsee lenses -I had never heard of but am very excited to try them. I will further update my review after getting my glasses back. Spectrum Optometry, Dr Michelle Elliott & Assoc 15355 24 Ave Surrey BC When ask if they could replace a small screw in my sunglasses, I was rudely told "if" they had one, there would be a $15 charge for the screw. Maybe I'm getting old, but in the 57 years of wearing glasses, I have never been charged to replace a screw. To top things off, I went a few doors down from Spectrum, to "Techmate Repairs" and had the screw replaced for no charge. I gave the fellow $5 for being such a nice guy. Spectrum will never have the opportunity to rip me off again. Not Impressed.

My recent visit to Spectrum Optometry was excellent from start to finish! Nice bright and airy office, a warm welcome from reception and then on to the exam. Dr. Elliott is very thorough and asks far more questions than any other eye professional I have seen in the past, making sure she knows her patient's medical and ocular history and their visual needs. She takes the time to explain how she arrives at her recommendations and gave me great advice on using eye drops and helpful tips regarding future cataract surgery post LASIK. My prescription had not changed enough to warrant new glasses so I did not try on frames but the selection looked modern and inviting and the optician was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Spectrum for professional eye care!

My family and I have been going to Spectrum for over 20 years. When I tried to make an appointment for regular eye exams a number of months ago, I was told that I would receive a call back - never did. When I called back, I was told that they would no longer serve my family and that I would have to find another optometrist. I am shocked that they would dismiss us so quickly after being with them for so long.

Dr. Elliot is the best optometrist I found so far to have for my mom's eye examine. She took her time and went beyond what she actually had to do. I been to other optometrists in the past but now I know where to go for my kids' annual eye follow up test as well. Both customer service and doctor are awsome.

For several years my wife and I have been going to Spectrum for eye exams. This last time(2days ago) we were told that if we didn't buy our glasses from them we should go elsewhere. Also that message was delivered to my wife rather coldly and unpleasantly by Dr. Elliot. Quite frankly, were offended by her manner and surprised since she had been courteous and professional in previous visits. We will take her advice.

I've dealt with both of the doctors here and had a positive experience with both of them. They helped me through shingles which got into my eye.
