If you want to get your eyes checked if you live in Welland. Make an appointment with the nice Optometrist here. I found an awesome pair of frames for my new glasses. I can't wait for them to come in. The frames are going to rock and I am going to look amazing in them. I will update this post with a picture when my glasses come in. Ray is such a good Optometrist. The top glasses have Progressive lenses the bottom pair have single vision. He picked out the bottom pair. And got them with no cost to me and I glad to have both pairs I am able to use the bottom pair for every day use and the top pair to read small print. Thanks Ray ????

I used to go to Walmart to get my glasses and when I went there I felt very rushed and found that the people there would pretty much say they all looked good. I wasn't really happy with what I came home with. But recently I found special eyes and Ray the owner was awesome. He took the time to book me an 2 hour appointment to try all the glasses I want on. it was a great experience as I had never had someone take the time before. Totally recommend Special eyes for your vision needs.

When it comes to glasses I am always super indecisive, ray was amazing helping me go threw different shapes colors and sizes and even different materials! Also was super helpful making sure they fit properly and talked to me about how to clean them properly. My life is CHANGED being able to see properly, have no more eye strain headaches and have glasses that look good on me too! He is excellent at following sanitation and COVID screening protocol and made me feel comfortable coming in (my main reason for waiting so long to get new glasses was COVID of course). Bonus is that I can stop by anytime he's open and get my glasses cleaned!

Great service and quality glasses. I got my first pair of reading glasses almost 3 months ago and since then every time I pass the store there’s always a friendly wave from Ray. Today on my way in to the grocery store Ray stopped me and asked how the glasses were and if they needed any adjustments. He took them into the shop quickly and came back a few minutes later having adjusted them for free. Highly recommend this place.

I had such a fantastic experience picking out a new pair of glasses! Ray was so friendly and knowledgeable. He did not pressure me and was very patient with a very indecisive glasses chooser! He did introduce me to some glasses that I would not normally go for and he was correct they look fantastic He was honest with how the choices looked while still respecting how I felt about them! After years of only wearing contacts to go out I finally was able to find glasses that I love and feel confident wearing out. Ray took his time to help me find two pairs I loved so much that I couldn’t decide between the two. Rays prices were so good I ended up getting both. He takes the time to show you all the options, gives his own suggestions and makes sure you walk out loving what you’re wearing. Once you receive your glasses, Ray goes the extra mile by making sure the glasses fit right and that you are comfortable. A neat perk about the store is that you can come back and use the glasses cleaning station to make your favourite pair look brand new again. The great thing about this store is that it has two entrances: one from the mall side and an entrance of its own outside of the building; so there’s no missing it! Highly recommended!

If you need glasses GO SEE RAY! Ray is AWESOME! Ray has soooooo much patience and knowledge and you can tell he actually loves what he does. The selection is amazing and affordable! All styles and so many colours and great prices. I had broken my glasses at the beginning of summer with no insurance. Ray listened to my situation and patiently helped me select 2 new pairs. I am super hard on my glasses and he helped me pick durable frames. I swear we almost tried every pair in his shop! He was even willing to head to the back to show me different colour options of what he had on hand. I happened to get two "funky pairs" that look cool and fit my face shape. Again, Ray takes the time to work with you until you have the perfect pair(s)! And after over an hour of trying frames on he even requested a rush on my order so that I didnt have to wear an old backup set from several prescriptions back for too long! You definitely don't get that kind of service anywhere else in Welland. Final note, Ray encourages maintenance adjustments. He WANTS to see you back making sure the frames you invested in are holding up and fitting comfortably! How cool is that?

Ray took the time to make sure that my glasses were made right. There were no complaints about having to reorder new frames when I realized I might have allergic reaction to the selected alloy. And when they did arrive he found a defect in one of the lenses was up front about it and provided a pair of standin glasses while a new lense was ordered. Great customer service deserves 6 stars.

Great place to get glasses Resonable $$ Rahimm will work with you if your short$$ hes easy going KNOWS his stuff I have known Rahimm for 6months I would call him a friend just for the way he treats you in the store !! Mar. 15 stopped in to pick up wifes sun glasses, but 1st Rahimm asked to clean my glasses, he has a remarkable machine that does a great cleaning, drying and the glasses look polished when returned. To top it off my wife's glasses were exactly as promised, she's very happy Rahimm helps his customers any way he can. He was closed at 5 butt waited for us . Later the same day around 8:30 pm I had to pick up some cat treats in the shopping mall only to see Rahimm opening up for another customer. To me this shows his commitment to his customers, he had to drive back from the falls. When I get home from work I don't want to go back till the next day!

Our 4 year old suddenly started complaining that his right eye hurts. He said that he poked his eye on one of birthday party toys. While it did not hurt immediately he was hurting a lot then. It was impossible to get a hold of a doctor that would be able to check on him and ideally did not want to go to Emerg as aside from irritation in eyes I could not see any visible issue. As a parent the next couple of hours of calling multiple places (20 or so) and being rejected for an appointment was painful. My last call ended up with Ray. He confirmed that they do not have on site Doctor anymore but wanted to know what the issue was. He went out of his way to ask questions, offer suggestions and texted me a few options that I missed. It came from a sense of care and compassion and not from sales or business. How refreshing is that. Ray - we greatly appreciate your help in our little emergency. You would be happy to know that your suggestion worked and diagnosis was that he has a small scratch in his eyes but nothing to worry about. My son is now medicated and feeling well and all is good in our world. You were a friend for us today when we needed one, did not expect one and very grateful that people like you exist. Heartfelt thank you. Also, please consider running for some public office position. Your compassions and care is what we need more of.

When I conveyed what I wanted in the style of glasses, I spent time with the store's representative and we found my desired style on the internet. I did not purchase my glasses directly at this website because I wanted the personal touch required to adjust the glasses for my purposes, and received such at this store. The service I receive from this store is professional, kind and courteous. I find the atmosphere at this store to be modern, well stocked with inventory and conveniently located in a shopping mall which has free parking. The store hours are generally on weekdays; however, it is my understanding that should I require assistance outside of these hours, a mutual agreeable arrangement can be made. I appreciate the objective and open reception I receive when I convey my comments on this store's operations and the service provided.
