He has been my optician for 25+ years, and has been my kids optician since they were old enough to test. He caught a degenerative eye condition in my son that was making him blind, and was able to refer us to an amazing specialist on that kind of condition. I've also had Dr. Carbonara and in the little experience that I've had with him, he was knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. The reception and tech staff are great, get to know you by name, and always greet you with a smile.

I wouldn't recommend Brian Rice. Not at all client-centric or even friendly. I had an appointment with him and called his receptionist to say I'd be up to 10 minutes late. When I arrived--and only 5 minutes after our arranged time -lo and behold, Rice had already left. I wasn't at all impressed.

I have been going to this office for ten years, since moving to Welland. I was quite shocked to read the two negative reviews written. The staff have always been very pleasant and efficient. My waiting time has always been very short. Dr. Rice explains everything in detail and has a relaxed approach as well as being professional. During our covid time, he and his staff take all the precautionary measures. I am thankful for his service.

Called to request a replacement contact lens for a broken one. After asking receptionist simple questions regarding ordering a new lens, she became quite antagonistic and was talking over me without letting me finish. When I became upset over her attitude, she hung up on me. My son called back right after, and she would not let him finish talking either, and when he tried to get her name, she continued rambling and said if we want to talk further, we will have to come in and talk to the doctor...good bye, and she hung up on him as well. I have been in the customer service industry for over 40 years and find this treatment inexcuseable! I was extremely offended, and wonder how they treat other people trying to ask simple questions. Will never return to this office again. Moreover- I was paranoid about calling on this office due to similar treatment a few years ago. They have no idea even who they are talking to!

Great spot quality service and an eye doctor who knows his stuff. Always treated me fairly. Been using this spot for over 15 years. Usually able to get me in on short notice.

I have been going to Dr. Rice since I was a child. I'm now over forty and find him very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I can always get in quickly if I'm worried about an issue. I go in often for adjustments and the staff are always very helpful and pleasant.
