I just completed having two cataract surgeries. Dr. Patel is absolutely amazing! I have gone from wearing glasses for over 60 years to needing only readers! Dr. Patel has a wonderful bedside manner, he is calming and attentive not to mention being a skilled surgeon! Dr. Patel takes his time during appointments, never felt rushed! I highly recommend this practice for all of your eye care needs. The staff are excellent as well!

About 2 years ago, I had an incident where my eye was poked with a fork that caused a pretty severe coronary abrasion. I thought it might heal on it's own, but the searing pain persisted for 24 hours. I couldn't sleep because closing my eye hurt too bad and opening it was worse. I went to urgent care on a Saturday, and they told me It was vital that I see an ophthalmologist. They called Dr. Patel. His office was closed for the weekend, and he was at his son's cub scout meeting. Due to the severity of the situation, he met me at his office anyways and quite literally saved my eye. It's been two years, and my eye is perfectly fine. I owe this man a huge 'Thank You'.

I had a great experience today! I have had a bump and soreness on my eye for about two months. I decided to get it checked out. I called and got in as a new patient in the same day. Everybody was very nice and it was very clean. Eric Intihar was who I saw today. He was extremely nice and comforting. I have a chalezium on my left eye. They did a pressure test and put some numbing stuff in my eyes so I wouldn't be uncomfortable. When I was brought back to Eric, he instantly greeted me and made me feel valued as a patient. I was very nervous because he was dealing with such a delicate area, but he did not hurt me at all. He had to do a few things to My eye to help it drain. He gave me so many different options and very helpful advice on how to treat it. I am so happy that I went to this location! I highly recommend seeing Eric Intihar!:)

The appointment was for our 10 year old and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. Our nurse was extremely friendly and great with kids and Dr. Intihar was wonderful with our son, it was evident that he really cares about his patients. Over the past year, I have been to Lake Norman Ophthalmology a total of five times and have waited less than five minutes each time for someone to see me. The staff is efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you out. Dr. Patel is also a terrific surgeon. My cataract surgery was practically pain-free. If you are looking for an eye doctor, look no further.

I moved from Connecticut in 2016. I was in desperate need of an ophthalmologist, so I asked a couple of my coworkers if they could give me any references? one of them said, Dr. Patel. they gave me his information and when I called, I was able to get an appointment right away. his staff was totally awesome. they were very kind and understanding. I went to my appointment and to my suruprise, I found that Dr. Patel was understanding, funny, as well as explaining things in layman terms so that I was able to understand the situation with my eyes. Every office visit he takes his time. I don’t feel that I’m rushed. I can ask him as many questions as deemed necessary so that I am comfortable knowing what I have to do to keep my eyes healthy. You don’t find that kind of attention from many doctors. they want you in and out. Not Dr. Patel. I was so grateful that I chose him and I’ve been going to Dr. Patel ever since. Thank you Dr. Patel, and I thank your wonderful staff as well.

I have gone to an ophthalmologist for years. My Dr was very caring and took excellent care of me. Since his departure from the practice I have been switched to an optometrist who is excellent . However I have had a difficult case that the ophthalmologist does not seem to have an interest in. His main concern is cataract surgery and seems to send anyone else to the optometrist. He is very arrogant and silly. I can not stand him and will probably I’ll for another practice.

I want to start by saying that the ladies at the front desk and the technicians are great and so kind! But sadly that is about the only good thing I can say. In brief: Dr. Patel did not feel it was necessary to even ask me about what issues I was there for and rushed out of the room in under 5 minutes after giving me a brief diagnosis and barely taking the time to go over any of my questions (he answered most from the hallway while trying to rush out). There is also very little patient confidentiality during his appointments as he left the door open for both me and the individual that he saw before me (as I could hear their conversation from the waiting area). Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Dr Patel was recommended to me for my cataracts and I have since had both eyes done. He and his staff were very friendly and professional at the same time - it was a pleasure going there. Dr Patel was very comforting esp prior to surgery. But a big shout out to Debbie who handled the insurance company and all scheduling. She was awesome. Thank you all!

Had a traumatic cataract develop which caused me to lose vision in left eye Dr Patell did a wonderful job and was able to return my vision. He was very professional. The front and back office was nice and friendly and helped with all my questions.
