MD Kim ruined my left eye. After MD Kopplin (uveitis specialist) resigned all of her patients were spread amongst the back up uveitis specialist and retina specialists, whom were not very thrilled. Our initial encounter was great. MD Kim introduced herself, discussed the plan of care with me (patient) and we talked through next steps. I had been due for a steroid injection into my left eye. The tech was extremely rude and after sharing my allergies to betadine she continued with putting a huge amount into my eye. Previously I would receive betadine but a smaller amount to reduce irritation. MD Kim enters the room and the things got worse. The physician did not warn me she was injecting the local anesthetic into my eye, therefore I immediately jump because my eye had not been numbed. When it came to the injection she was very aggressive, wiggling around in my eye causing multiple blood vessels to burst, which has only happened once during my 7 years of receiving injections. MD Kim then preceded to argue with me about there not being a certain protocol for these sorts of procedures, not apologizing for the damage she had just done. I was left with a very distinguished bloody eye for 4 weeks!!
