Here you have all the feddbacks of real people who consumed the products and services of Great Lakes Eye Institute (Ophthalmologist) around Watson Lake area (Canada).
At the present the business receives a score of 2.7 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 38 reviews.
As you can see its rating is discreet, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may think that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to write feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Ophthalmologist is classified in the category of Eye care center.
Poor Service!!! Over Charged me!!! Very Poor Customer Service!!!
I had an appointment at 9:20, I showed up early like they asked so I could fill out paperwork work. They called me back within 10 mins of my appt. The reception and nurses were very nice and clear on where to go and what to do. That part was fine, then i saw Dr. Chung, and she's ok. She seemed impatient and blew through what she thought was happening with my eyes. I was struggling trying to explain my symptoms and she seemed really impatient about it. She was nice though, maybe she was just really busy? Either way I wasn't that comfortable with it.
The most rude and unfriendly group of supposed professionals I have ever dealt with. Expect to spend the whole day here and if you have children they treat you like you are the biggest inconvience they have had to deal with of their lives. 0 stars would be more correct.
Dr Souki and staff is wonderful to work with
Went into this office because I had something stuck in my eye causing pain and irritation. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. The doctor was great, explaining everything he was doing, fixed my issue within minutes. Great experience. Wait time was a little long, but they were busy.
This is the worst optical center I have ever been at. I have been trying to get glasses since jan 25 it is now march 3rd. The employees were very rude to me. I had to get management which was no help to me. And I still have no glasses. I will be telling everyone in Saginaw, MI about my experience here. I will be sending everyone I know elsewhere. This place doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave it.
They are very rude they are not professional they will build the insurance and then when you come for the second visit they will ask you for too many kind of chargers that the insurance don’t cover and no one will tell you about this from the first visit they will tell you that after I will never go back again
Here with my mother. Wait time is currently 1 hour and 45 minutes behind her appointment time. Find another place for your vision needs. This place his horrible - just horrible.
Unfortunately, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. I would not recommend this place to anyone. A family member of mine was having vision problems and due to insurance, needed a new eye doctor so they went to GLE. At GLE my family member was acting weird and wasn't making sense. Nothing they were saying or doing was normal. The doctor diagnosed them with "rapidly progressing cataracts" we knew they had cataracts, but they weren't causing a problem before and were minimal. They were sent home and told they would have to have cataract surgery. An eval. appointment was made at the hospital either the same day or the next day but the hospital staff was appalled at what they found was the real issue: My family member suffered from a stroke. and was having "mini strokes". There were not advance cataracts. They had lost their peripheral vision! That is some gross malpractice on GLE's part. Any qualified doctor or staff should right away noticed it was a stroke and what was going on. My family member was admitted to the ER and spent 4 days in the hospital. We contacted GLE and told them about their mistake and they still expect a co-pay? Sorry, no. :(
Saved my vision... literally.
In my opinion Great Lakes Eye Institute is no different, no better than my other eye doctor of 7 years, as far as the quality of care. However, here's the difference; with my previous eye doctor I paid $0, as my eye exams have always been 100% covered. However, at Great Lakes Eye Institute, in the end I was billed for over $200+, for the same optometrist care and exam. When I questioned this, I feel was given the 'Abbott & Costello' routine of 'Who's On First?', mixed with a 'shell game'. Lesson learned. Bigger does not always mean better.
Great place with great service. Been going here my whole life, nice place to sit down with a good book and a cup of coffee while your waiting. Service is great lengthy wait-time but it's worth it due to the quiet peaceful vibe this place has.
The lady on the phone was rude I asked here if blue cross covers it she then snaps at me saying no we don’t ethier your mom pays or you wow getting money form hard working people health insurance definitely needs to be part of this
I liked Great Lakes more when Dr. BOSCO was my Dr. :(
The service was terrible. Ordered the wrong glasses. Not professional. Posted for D. MORRIS
Always have a good experience.
I came in for my disability evaluation before hand on the phone I was told I would be able to come back for a normal appointment to get glasses when I came during the appointment I told them I had three things wrong with my eyes they listed two then told me they didn't accept my insurance so I couldn't come back to get glasses I thought wow this is weird every medical place I go here has turned down my treatment after I show up then I started to look at the forms and they list my race as white so they saw I was black and refused to list I have cataracts and on top of that turned down insurance that my legal rep has proof that they take come soon cause it won't be open for long places like this shouldn't exist.
this blows say away
The optical department is horrible. My daughter has worn glasses since she was 7 months old. She is now 29. Never have we had a worse experience than we had here. Her glasses delaminated after only a few months of wear. When we took them back they treated us like we had misused them (we hadn’t). They agreed to replace them begrudgingly. The second pair of lenses did the same thing after only a few months. I asked them to replace them but use a different vendor. They said that because we had Eyemed they could only use this vendor again. We are starting over with a whole new provider. Won’t be returning to Great Lakes. Also: Don’t go to one of their doctors unless you enjoy being treated like cattle. You transfer through 3 waiting areas. In the final area you will be sitting with no less than 3 other patients who share your exact appointment time with the same doctor.
The wait times are unacceptable. I do not understand why there is obviously no consideration for the patient's time. Very frustrating
If I could give 0 starts I would. My 1 1/2 old’s appointment was at 2:10 and I showed up 20 minutes early as I live an hour and a half away. We sit in the first waiting room for 20 minutes then proceed to the second for over an hour. Our total wait time was over two hours. I cannot believe they expected my child to make it through an appointment like that. It was almost insulting that they made us wait another half hour after the eye dilation. I will NEVER go there nor recommend this place to anyone again. We went there as we were told the doctor was great with children. The whole place is a joke!
First appt sat for almost 30 minutes past appt time, exam went ok, had to go to a different location for lenses( ins company issue) received glasses-more of long range and bifocal range. Trouble with seeing properly. Took 3 phone calls to get a recheck, second visit was told I should have had trifocals!! Now why wasn't I informed this this first time?? Why wasn't it explained better? Why wasn't I given the option for bifocal and close range??? Another phone call, explained situation, was sent to optical answering machine again!! Another left message unanswered!! Will be getting eyes rechecked somewhere else!! ( In order to get script rewritten). It's more like the more people you get in building,, the more profit you can make!! Would NOT recommend! I did receive a phone call from Sandi but only after this review. I will give her 5 stars for fixing the issue. It shouldn't have escalated but, she did step up!!!! Hats off to her might bring review up a bit grade wise......
I had surgery with dr ogrady. The staff and DrOgrady were friendly and explained everything they were doing and the outcome. My vision is now 20/20 ! There's NO Pain at all!
A++
First time there, was a truly wonderful experience, staff was very helpful ,caring, professional. From first front desk to office to checkout. Thank you all for the great way you got me through my appointments .
The do good work but expect to spend your whole day here. I have waited 2 hours for a pressure test. For a full exam its common for me to be there for 3 hours. I know for a fact that at least one of the doctors will schedule 5 people for the same time.
This is the 4th time I have been here with my stepmother. The people are nice but the waiting time is totally rediculous. Her appointment was for 2:20 pm, we got her at 2:05. It is now 4:48 and we are still waiting to see doctor. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The doctor does not have a very good bed side manner. The workers don't seem to care how long you have to wait. I said something to one and she laughed and said sorry. This is not the first time this has happened either. Out of 4 times it has happened 3 times. They need to get thier S**t together. We are paying them for this, incredible.
My entire experience so far 3 weeks in and my Dr is simply amazing and very caring and very good at her job. I have nothing but absolutely good things to say about the entire staff there is absolutely fantastic ????????????
Best eye Doctors in Mid-Michigan! They truly care about their customers and take the time to explain what they are doing.
Was very disappointed. Will not go back nor recommend. Paint wore off on two frames within 3 months. I was told no returns, refunds or exchange. A new frame choice wasnt even an option. They would just keep replacing the same defective frames. This is how they guarantee their glasses. Was also told "i dont know why the paint keeps coming off." 1 star is too much but cant put less.
Waited 2 hours past appt time for Dr Lin. I'm s sure they are. Overbooked to cover $$$$$.
0 stars The wait times are unacceptable. We got there at 10:40 for my moms appointment that was 10:50 we sat there till 12:30 before they called her back they suck with timeing
Dr. OGrady and Dr Grant were kind and professional. The immediate needs were met and a treatment plan put in place. The technicians were outstanding. Overall worth every second of time to benefit from their talent.
Service was a 5 star.... but your hours are terrible. These insurance companies dictate where you have to go and in a working household make it dam near impossible to get there.... 8 to 5 mon thru thurs ? 8 to 2 on FRIDAY ???? SAT SUN OFF. i can see sun off but your friday hours make me have to take a day off...
