Always have the best care here, staff is friendly and helpful and give great options for glasses when you're looking. Dr. Elder is so friendly and knowledgeable, she was quick to get me in when I had an issue with a growth in my eye and is always takes the time to get to know me so she can give the best solutions for eye care or eye wear. Highly recommend this office to anyone looking to go to a better eye doctor!

First time getting glasses, but Dr. Vermeersch was very kind, explained the cool things they used to look at my eyes, and answered all of my questions. The rest of the staff was the real MVP though. I went from getting glasses as a necessity to being excited for them. They hyped me up as I was trying on different pairs and really made it a great experience.

My glasses broke and I had to tape them (!!!!) to keep them together, looking like a street person I was very desperate to find something FAST! Everywhere I went the turn around was at least 10 business days, prices around $500!. Waterloo Vision Care Clinic saved me!!!! They did my glasses in an unbelievable ONE hour turnaround for $239!!!! Unbeatable prices and great, fast service! HIGHLY recommend!!!!

The ladies are excellent here. From helping you select a style that suits you to processing your order. The doctors are fantastic. The orders are ready in record time and when you pick up your glasses the technician guides you in taking care of your glasses and makes sure the glasses fit perfectly.

I've been going to Dr. Newman since I was a child. Always love the friendly staff as well as the care and concern put into your eye-health. My grandmother had macular degeneration -- Dr.Newman treated her as if she was her own mother. Highly recommend this optometrist in Waterloo / KW.

We have taken our family here for a few years now and Dr.Bright is always so good with the kids! What can be slightly scary for them, is made to be fun. The staff is friendly and helpful. The office is very inviting and before covid- had a nice play area that the kids looked forward to playing in. My husband once couldn't find a pair of glasses that he was looking for in a certain color etc., but found it online and they offered to order it for him.

Had my first visit today after not seeing an optometrist in 5 years. Office is bright, welcoming and open. I chatted with staff at front desk and everyone was friendly and good-natured. I saw Dr. Elder, and she was extremely friendly, informative and respectful, answering all the questions I had and explaining what she was doing and why. I arrived early, was seen quickly, and while my appointment was lengthy due to the tests that needed to be done I wasn't kept waiting. I would definitely recommend this clinic and Dr. Elder in particular, especially if you're at all anxious about this sort of thing (as I am).

Dr. Bright and her associates are a refreshing mix to the stale optometry field. Their office is modern and their personalities are too. Personable, real and very clearly passionate about their unique line of work. I travel in from Toronto as do several of my friends and associates who I have referred to Dr. Bright and associates. Was very happy with my visit. The squeezed me in on very short notice to get an eye injury checked out, which saved me from having to sit for hours in emerge. Both the receptionist I talked with and the Dr who saw me were very helpful and friendly.

Doctors are great (Dr. Elder) and it is because of them this review receives half of the stars (2.5 I had in mind). The reception/eyeglasses division are disorganised and can make costly mistakes. I specifically requested the thinnest possible lenses because I have a high prescription. I ended up with some low index lenses and had to redo them. Knowing I have insurance, they charged me both pairs of lenses although it was not my fault they got the wrong ones initially. I highly recommend the doctors, but in the future I’ll make my eyeglasses elsewhere.

I am a 67 year old male who has spent his life in Waterloo region. Noticing that my eyesight had deteriorated and prior to the September 1st deadline for OHIP coverage I, somewhat tentatively, booked an appointment at Waterloo Vision Care Clinic located on The Boardwalk, in Waterloo. Any hesitation or anxiety I felt prior to this appointment was quickly dissipated while checking in at the front counter. All of the reception staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. The Optometrist herself, Dr. Shoemaker was wonderful and skillfully maneuvered her equipment and tests in a manner I found relaxing and informative. The entire experience was so professional and rewarding that I can honestly say that while still in the middle of the Covid Pandemic I felt no sense of worry or alarm. The reception area is well maintained and extremely clean, as our the offices and labs. I would rank this as the best experience, this senior, has had in any medical facility since birth. Paul Blain

I don't leave reviews but I just had too after my appointment here. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Really take the time to make sure you are completely happy. Great prices and service. My doctor was Dr. Bright. After seeing her for the first time, I will never go anywhere else now. I only wish I would have come here sooner. I felt very comfortable and safe during the covid pandemic here. Everyone is cleaning as soon as anyone touches anything. Incredible. Keep up the good work ladies! This optometry medical place is of high standards and not like your typical mall eye glasses place with poor quality glasses/lenses like where I went before. 5 ???? all the way around.

I was hoping to switch to this clinic as its closer than my current one and THANK GOD I didn't ! Absolute worst customer service at the front desk !! The receptionists couldn't even look up from their computers to address my questions , made me feel like I was talking to a wall ! I guess she lost interest because I said I was looking for frames.. There are plenty of eye care clinics that you would think these individuals would treat EVERY client walking in like they matter ? I guess you have to be white to be treated here with any respect ! Pathetic ! I guess this is what happens when you hire uneducated small minded people ! Too bad bc Ive heard nice things about their actual Drs ! Thumbs up for losing clients for them

I would like to give a shout out to the doctors and staff at the Waterloo Vision Care Clinic. During this pandemic time, I feel that I have never been in a safer place. Their attention to procedures is top notch! I am a retired registered nurse and see the excellent job they are doing to keep us safe. Yesterday I picked up my new eye glasses and while waiting observed a staff member cleaning a chair someone had just occupied. Best job ever!!! I was treated fine there so recommended my wife go there the staff told her to get progressive lenses which were expensive and completely didn't work finally she switched to normal bifocals but was still billed for the progressive lenses that they suggested and couldn't adjust correctly Guess it was our fault for going there Ripped off don't deal with them

Staff is fantastic!!! Barbie helped me this morning, as my frame snapped. She was amazing and thorough and was able to replace the frame on warrantee which I was shocked was plausible as I was nearing the two year mark. She provided options, and a solution within a few minutes. What a ROCK STAR!! Wanted to share the experience as it was above and beyond my expectations! Truely a lovely and dedicated team.

Excellent, personalized service! I had light sensitivity, trouble focusing on books and computer screens, migraines and blurred vision for years. I finally switched to Dr. Bright and was quickly diagnosed with astigmatism. After receiving the correct prescription, I haven't had an issue since. Dr. Bright is an extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy professional who also provides care for my husband and daughter. Highly recommend!

THE WORST PLACE EVER! They have the rudest staff there, and the manager is even worse. They had a plate of cookies at the front desk. Went to pick up a cookie (while I was wearing a mask to avoid catching anything during my wait at my doctor's office earlier), and I was asked if I had an infectious disease by some random staff here. Who does that? TOTALLY DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE. If your staff is so concerned about a customer transmitting an ''infectious disease' through your cookies, then here's a friendly suggestion - DON'T PUT OUT COOKIES! Just common sense. If you want to avoid being discriminated, DO NOT GO IN THERE. There's tons of optical stores that have WAY better customer service, quality and atmosphere. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Manager at this place could use a lesson on appropriate customer service skills and manners.

I took my son today to see Dr.Bright he is 3 years old. She was AMAZINGLY patient with him. He’s like most children and not keen on seeing doctors, however by the end of the exam and on our way out he was asking to go back. Sara whom I booked the appointment with was also so kind and very quick to respond as I initially emailed to book it. All the staff were super friendly. Was a great experience. Will definitely be returning and will highly highly recommend to others.
