Dr. Lisa has been our Ophthalmologist for many years. We have never had a more acurate and thorough Dr's examinations like we experience with her. She gives you all her attention and time as if you are her only patient. She is very highly qualified. Thank you Dr. Lisa.

Was referred by a Northwestern Dr. To schedule an appointment was Horrible and we still didn't get an appointment. Communication with her staff is the worst . I would not recommend this Dr. because of her staff that handles her appointments. I am going to call Northwestern and speak to their Advocate Care to complain. Her stafff doesn't represent Northwestern philosophy at ALL.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lisa. I was referred to her for a problem that had been ongoing since November of 2018. 7 months,4 doctors and a whole bunch of discomfort later, I was referred to this awesome doctor. I was frustrated at my first appointment and not feeling very hopeful about my situation. She listened intently, took copious notes and gave me a good assessment of where I was at and where she thought she could take me with treatment. Finally!! She advocated for me to receive a prescription that has improved my daily living, when my insurance company was definitely saying no. She is gentle, a great listener, and so very good at her job. I feel incredibly lucky to have been sent to her. I trust her instincts with my care and am so glad she’s a part of my medical team. Gada at the front desk is kind and funny, reminds me to get referrals and helps me get appointments with my busy schedule.

You will get much more personalized care and more thorough treatment here than you ever will at a revolving door type of facility like Wheaton Eye Clinic, having been to both for similar reasons. There was also minimal wait time, and Lisa is a very knowledgeable and experienced doctor.

Travel And Shoes

Appointment was made almost a month in advance. Did not receive a confirmation call so called day of to be sure appointment was still on. Was told office does not perform confirmations. Ok, unique but no problem. I'm organized. Showed up to appointment and the waiting room was packed -- never a good sign. When I went to sign in, I was given two choices: come back tomorrow or wait for 2 hours. The dr had to accept two urgent patients and she is now 2 hours behind schedule. I asked why no one called me before I left the house and was told they "just" found out about it. The woman who had the appt 30 min prior to mine had been waiting for at least 30 min. So they knew for sure at least 30 min ago. After waiting for one full month, walked away with no visit. Terrible.

Dr. Nijm is one of a kind. She’s smart, thorough and very kind with a good sense of humor. She takes the time to listen to you AND to explain what is going on! I had my cataract surgery with her and I am ecstatic with the results. Dr. Nijm truly cares about her patients and it show. You won’t find another doctor like her.

I had to come here for an eye injury through work. I have been here 4 times in the past 8 months. Every time I have been here they have taken me in minimum 30min after my appointment time. And I've been the only person in the waiting room. Also they have called to reschedule my appointments multiple times. Very frustrating. That all being said Dr. Nijm was good. Very caring.

Dr. Nijm is the best eye doctor you will ever go to. I came to see her because I was diagnosed with cataracts. Her office staff is kind, efficient and made everything easy on me. Dr. Nijm took her time, gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever had and most importantly treated me like a person, NOT a number. And here is the best part- I cannot believe how well I am seeing after cataract surgery- no glasses! I haven't seen this well since I was a kid! I am so excited to have found this amazing doctor. I highly recommend her.

If you are looking for personalized, professional eye care you need go no further than Dr. Nijm. It was easy to make an appointment with her. The initial visit was used to establish a baseline for my condition. She described completely each part of the examination as well as what the findings meant. During the examination she identified a capsule that had grown on the back side of the lens I received during cataract surgery a few years ago. With a very simple procedure she was able to remove the capsule painlessly. My vision is now more crisp and colors are more vibrant. Could not be happier with the outcome. If you are looking for a doctor who will give you individual attention, will answer all of your questions and has the expertise to resolve your condition, I highly recommend Dr, Nijm.
