Despite the difficulties of getting the lens on my eye due to my own anxieties, Dr. Weng’s efforts never waned or wavered. She tried numerous other strategies and kept me at ease. I've now had my eyes examined by - and purchased 5 pairs of glasses from - Eyemax. Because of my line of work, they are all technically challenging in requirements, and the most recent pair presented the most significant technical challenge to date. I needed progressive sunglasses with a tint gradient, with frame and lenses small enough to fit while wearing a car racing helmet. The first attempt didn't leave enough of the lens for distance vision. When I went back, right away they sat me down, took an extensive series of measurements (even more extensive than the first series), sent the new technical specifications back to the lab, and even put it through as a rush job because I needed them for competition. The new glasses worked brilliantly, and none of this cost me any extra over the initial price. Yes, this is an expensive store. Superlative service and a superior product costs.

This has been my worst experience till date at an eye clinic. I have been to this place last year as well. But the person at the front desk taking details for insurance was exceptionally rude. He was extremely condescending, had no sense of how to have a decent conversation (forget customer) and made me feel as if I was trying to fraud into getting my insurance details. Even when I gave him all the details he made a remark- keep your fingers crossed and hope you can get this through. I never had this problem last year and I and my wife have been here before . I will never come here again - don’t think anyone deserves this attitude (i am a former customer whom you can see on file) for nothing. Doctor is amazing and definitely the only reason for me to not walk away from the appointment. Never coming back!! Cannot think of any reason why the front desk person would behave like this ! Very disappointed!

Just had an excellent experience. Went in for my first checkup in 7 years ahead of a drivers renewal. I was borderline in need of the lens last time so I thought I should be certain. I ended up still on the border and decided to let my benefits get me a new pair of glasses. This was my first set of glasses and I have to say the whole experience was very pleasant. From the extremely informative and customized eye exam, to the actual purchase of lens and frames. I ended up going very cheap ( rayban frames and basic lens ) since I don't expect to wear them often, but I met no resistance from the sales guy, and even the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. To top it all off, I got my glasses back in one day!

Went for my full comprehensive eye exam yesterday with Dr. Tracy Weng. It’s my first eye exam ever and I’m so happy with the experience. Note: Strict Covid protocols were implemented before my appointment. During the examination, Dr. Tracy professionally guides me through the processes and explaining the purpose of each test. And she always ensures that I’m feeling comfortable with every testing. At the end we fully discussed the results and numbers. This WAS my place downtown to have my eyes examined, to get my perscriptions made, & to buy my glasses for over 15 years. The last time I came here was to complain about being apparently misperscribed and subsequently upsold to needing two perscriptions for both reading and driving glasses... plus reccomending me to a specialist for possible glaucoma. Where upon going, 6 months later, to the specialist, I discovered that I was not at risk for glaucoma and that both perscriptions were wrong. The reading glasses were unnecessary and the driving glasses were too strong. This is why they hurt my face to look through them. When i complained, after seeing the specialist, I was hoping they would want to keep my business by correcting their "mistake" and cutting for me the correct perscription lenses for the old frames. Nope. The sales guy said I would have had to have said something within a week about the glasses being wrong. I am not the eye doctor! And I infact DID mention that the glasses hurt my entire face when they were being fitted the very first time I looked through them, and the guy said to give it time to get used to them. To me, this entire experience was a big waste of my time, my money, my patience, and hopefully not the health of my eyes. Eyemax has degraded into a slimey, crooked, unethical group of scam artists. I do not recommend going here!

Simply THE BEST experience I ever had since I started wearing glasses 20 years ago. From the staff who works in the front to Dr Tracy, everyone made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr Tracy was incredibly patient, as it was my first time with an Optometrist in Canada. She was knowledgeable and performed very detailed eye exam, while also explaining the "whys" and "hows" of what was happening. She talked about many risks and diseases that no other doctor ever cared to mention. Also took her time to explain all kinds of contact lenses and how to properly take care of them. I could not be more satisfied. Thank you Dr Tracy and your team. You guys are a gem!

Sadly, this place has really gone downhill. The dr that treated me here 2 years ago was punctual, polite, addressed all my concerns. The optometrist I was supposed to see today couldn’t be bothered to see me at my scheduled time because she was out getting a coffee. I walked out after waiting for 15 minutes.

Bought a pair of frames and lenses from Eyemax 5 years back. One side of the frames broke at the hinge, They quoted me $100.00 for the repair. I fixed it for under $5.00 with some crazy glue. I never go back to them for frames, just once again around 3 years ago for a special eye exam. Today I get a call from them telling me it's time for my "yearly" eye exam and they just happen to have an opening tomorrow. I decline upon realizing that they are just attempting to fill an open spot. I imagine that this is a common practice but I feel that maybe they should use better discretion on who they call seeing as I have not been there for a few years. Summary: Interested more in profit than customer satisfaction (IMO)

I got a whole eye health care test and the optometrist (unfortunately have forgotten her name) explained absolutely everything to me and made sure I understood everything in my 3D images. Really appreciated that she carried out a thorough exam and gave me great advice and suggestions. Will definitely return for all my eye care needs.

First, I thought the optometrist I saw at EyeMax was great. Unfortunately the sales team wasn't. I purchased a pair of expensive glasses from Eyemax and when they arrived there was a defect in one lens. Because the manufacturer and sales team didn't bother to look at them before I went in to pick them up I got to waste my time and wait an additional 2.5 weeks to get my glasses with no apology or attempted compensation. With high prices, minimal selection, and poor service, I wouldn't go back.

I called prior because I was running late from work, and was told to take my time and not rush. When I arrived, I was treated professionally by a gentleman (didn't catch his name) as he input my info. Piyusha at the front desk was very sweet as she got all my health insurance info. Dr. Tracy Weng was awesome, so friendly, and made the eye exam experience quick and easy. She even took extra time to answer my questions throughout and showed me bluelight lenses as an option for my screen-intensive job. I'd be happy to return for other eye-related appointments in the future. :)

Waste of money. If you want a thorough eye exam i would not recommend this place. The optometrist flipped through lenses so fast my eyes could not even adjust and was answering her own questions on which lens I thought was better. My exam was finished within 5 minutes and was rushed out the door to pay and was handed my results by the receptionist.

The best place ever!!! I needed new contacts for me and I chose Eyemax Eye Care based on good reviews in internet and I do not regret it. There is just not enough words to describe how pleased I have been with the professionalism of Doctor Sandhu and the services provided. He was very friendly, easy to talk and competent. Because of huge astigmatism I have had troubles with my contacts for years and Doctor Sandhu was the only one who explained me why and promised to find contacts that would fit my needs. He told me in advance that it would be very hard to find the right contacts for me. So far we have tried two pairs, unfortunately they didn't work out but he promised to look for other contacts. With no extra charge! He gave me his word that eventually we will find something for me. It's such pleasure to deal with people like this doctor! I don't often leave reviews but this one I just had to leave. Highly recommend this doctor!
