I am looking for a new doctor. The doctor has not been in for the last 3 appointments made and the staff never bother to call me to let me know. This place is completely disorganized. When the doctor is in, the waiting time is ridiculous. This place does not value its patients. There are plenty of other doctors in the city. Why settle for bad service?

Sharon Baker

Very knowledgeable doctor and efficient staff. Busy but organized. Also often able to get through on the phone

Be Aware. This doctor performed cataract surgery for me in both eyes. After the surgery I developed a retinal tear in one eye and I see floaters in both eyes. I see shadows in front of me all the time. I have great fear that I might loose my eyesight altogether.

I came here for my follow up though there was an initial mix-up because I thought I had requested for his 2345 Yonge Street location at least they were accommodating enough to give me time to go to his Danforth location so I didn't have to rebook my appointment. Though it isn't the norm from what I know and had experienced, the wait time during that appointment was crazy fast compared to the normal over and hour wait times. Anyway, apparently I am one of those 10% to 15% of people who had cataract surgery and get the cloudy membrane. Based on how I described my symptoms we was able to quickly assess and verify the diagnosis and would require a laser to treat. Apparently it is quite common, so common in fact that he bought a laser device for the clinic and was able to fix the problem then and there in less than 15 minutes. If you plan to have a cataract surgery then I would say my experience with him was pretty good for the most part (it's just that damn location is so far from where I live). His choices of lenses are pretty conservative, only three in fact, but only one he would recommend (the middle one which is not multifocal) which is what I am using. So far I'm generally happy except for the loss of near vision, but those are easily compensated by $3 reading glasses you get at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Be prepared to stay at least 1hr! Book so many people at the same time

Dr. Nianiaris is great. He is kind considerate and follows through with his patients. His staff and supports are knowledgeable and efficient. If you want a thorough eye examination, Dr. Nianiaris' office provides excellent service and care!

Great manner, very patient, even when the (Danforth) office is insanely busy. My only complaint is that, despite three receptionists, sometimes it's impossible to get through the phone.

Had a very good experience with Dr. But waiting time is a hustle. Seems like is not organize well enough. Too many patient booked at the same time.

I had an appointment at 12 noon. I waited to see the doctor til 1.20 pm never saw him. Why you have appointment and you cannot see patients on time.Very dissapointed. At last I had to leave without seeing him.

I don’t leave reviews but I had to in this case. With the covid going around I was scared to go / the staff there were amazing and it was safe and clean - Dr. N had air filters in his office and was thorough and efficient. The biggest reason for the stars was Ashley - she did my pre-doctor exams and totally made me feel comfortable. She saw I was nervous and she walked me thru their safety protocols and didn’t dismiss me. She was amazing and if it wasn’t for her, I might have left but she checked in on me and treated me like a person, not just an OHIP number - so thank you - my eyes are still blurry so there might be spelling mistakes but I needed to share this experience ASAP. Be safe everyone!
