Dr. Hill helped me so much. I’d been given a prescription by someone else that wasn’t right. She spent time with me, got excited about making sure I could see, and ultimately now I have glasses that actually help me. I am so grateful. I was also passing through town with work, so she knew she would only see me once and she still made me feel like my case mattered. Thank you.

Harbourview has all the latest equipment with a friendly and professional staff. The wait time has always been minimal if at all. The doctor was straight forward, patient and extremely helpful. Anytime I called after hours and left a message, they were very prompt about getting back to me the next working day. Recommended.

Harbourview - especially the contact lens department team and Dr. Hill - have gone above and beyond! They quickly came to my rescue by supplying me with free sets of trial lenses after my contact lens mistakenly ripped and I couldn't find my spares. Emma and Steph, you are absolute lifesavers, thank you for always being so kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend Harbourview for anyone looking for optometry services.

Called to make a first appointment but the chilly voice mail had no option for that

My kids go to harbourview for their glasses. I was happy to have Amanda help us, she made everything much easier. This was the first pair of glasses for both of my kids so I didn’t know what to look for. She showed me different styles and benefits of the kids glasses and even ordered in colours that they like and would want to wear for them to try on. When we picked them up she remembered our names and got the kids excited to be wearing glasses.

Outstanding, Efficient and Professional service by Melodie. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with my first Home and Office prescription and she even helped process my insurance paperwork. A total positive experience and she really made my day????

Dan Gaudette

Friendly staff and appointments have always been on time. Good selection of glasses available and quick turn around once an order is placed.

I’m not a client of theirs, but when my antique frames blew up on me, they were kind and knowledgeable enough to quickly repair them and get me out the door. Highly recommended.

The customer service is great!!! I had broken my glasses during the covid19 pandemic. I brought them in and they did a great job patching them up to a usable state. No questions asked just fixed them and returned to me in 15 minutes. A real lifesaver as I didn't have any spares.

Paid over $900 for new glasses about 5 weeks ago. Couldn't read a license plate10 meters in front of me and told them that. They said give your eyes time to adjust. Seems odd that the prescription sunglasses I bought with them are just fine. Wearing my old glasses so I can see clearly. Wont buy my next glasses at Harbourview. UPDATE: 2 days after I wrote this review and messaged them on FB they called and had me come in . They sent my glasses to be redone and all was good. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"

I have been here twice, the doctor and the staff are super friendly, helpful and understandable. I always feel welcomed there.

Shame on this group of ‘professionals’. Refusing to perform eye exams on kids who have trouble seeing the white board at school because they are in a dispute with the government over OHIP fees. After all that kids have been through during covid, all the while, Optometrist haven’t missed a beat during covid because they are ‘essential’ and now you refuse eye care of kids? This is unbecoming of a health care professional. Why can other physician groups, nurses, fire, police, EMS all negotiate without refusing essential care. You may not like the current fees paid by the government, but you set up shop in Ontario knowing how socialized healthcare systems work and take advantage of the steady stream of government funded eye exams. To pull this stunt is disgusting. I will be filing a complaint to the regulatory College about this. Optometrist are ‘essential’ and stayed open during Covid, yet now, eye exams for kids are not essential? I hope the College takes swift and decisive action. For those in Thunder Bay, call around, there is someone doing eye exams. Remember this next time you buy lenses (the real money maker) about who showed that your kids being able to see at school is essential vs those who think seeing at school is not essential. See the screenshot below about the expectation from the College of Optometrist.

Paid 100 dollars for an eye exam in which the optometrist gave me a severely underpowered prescription which subsequently resulted in me purchasing a useless pair of glasses. They also wanted way too much for contact lenses and tried to sell me a variety of items I didn't need.
