Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

My experiences with Walmart in NewLiskeard have been 95% of the time good ones. Sometimes the shelves are lacking items, they seem to have problems keeping up with the demands. I find the cashiers work hard and are friendly and kind. Never forget everyone, yes everyone has a bad day once in a while. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars are the self check out machines. I will never use them and if Walmart goes strictly to those machines, I will not use them. Walmart has already lost my on line shopping which was a twice a month, sometimes more order. They changed the delivery rules again a few months back and that was it for me. The reason I liked this shopping experience was because they deliver to the door. I’m a senior without a vehicle and that service was important to me. So I went to Amazon who has as many choices. Sometimes i pay an extra .50 cents but its worth it, AND amazon ships in good sturdy boxes, as well as all liquids are sealed in a plastic bag.

Definitely a great place to come if you need a quick snack, this store has pretty much everything you ever need. Groceries, toys, sports equipment, books and furniture. The prices range from very cheap to moderately expensive, however most things of the Great Value brand you can find for very cheap. Would definitely recommend to anybody who needs something at a low cost.

No variety of baby formula... my baby needs emfamil nutramigen...all they had was similac alimentum and only a few boxes left...I had to get that until my order came in from the pharmacy...... but please...for such a big box store would be nice to see this formula in store also no size 3 over night diapers which ok no problem its like that in many walmart have to order to pick up...also no dr brown bottle nipples..... or dr brown wide nipple bottles like why.....I struggled so much to find things my baby needed while in the area. I had come prepared but I figured I'd find it in the store since when I searched it said they had it...then I'd show up and no luck.

Really? Moving to self-checkouts? I have a full-time job; I'm not working all day and then doing your job. Please don't give me the excuse of keeping prices low. Canadian Tire manages to process my items WITH a cashier and their prices are the same as yours. I'll either shop at Canadian Tire or Amazon. PS. I noticed that Walmart's projected profits went up $20 billion dollars in the last year. Making your customers do your cashier's jobs is really helping your bottom line, isn't it?

Nearly impossible too find staff too open locked products in the electronics section. Every visit I have too search a good 5-10 minutes for an employee, when i do find someone, they don't have a key and they just leave, no help trying too find the keyholder, they just go. asking the staff at the cellphone booth is no help either. This has happened the last 4 times I've been there. Instead of having many cash registers open, they replaced all but 6 (only 2-3 usually open at a time though)with self checkouts, causing ridiculous lines, whereas other walmarts this isn't an issue. Cashiers are friendly so that's plus out of stock items take long time too replace, shelves are often empty, most likely from lack of employees

Walmart, has changed a lot in New Liskeard. Can’t find items that use to be there. Your selection of items are limited, clothing seems to be left overs from bigger Walmart’s that can’t sell it so, it comes here. Lines for check outs are long. Seemed to be training people on cash and yet fewer cashiers. Washrooms are definitely not looked after like they use to. A lot of the time when you do try to find something you want their out of stock or there’s something else in its place. I wouldn’t call it a super store anymore. Our store should be more like North Bay or Timmins. Especially in all their departments where there are not many other stores around here anymore. New Liskeard Walmart should be bigger because they serve also surrounding communities including many from Quebec. I think the reason Giant Tiger is moving to the mall to become bigger is because Walmart is starting to lose many customer because of what I mentioned earlier. Now there will be competition between the two. Let’s see if Walmart will do anything about it.

The Electronic staff are amazing! Very helpful. Sometime waiting is worth it! They are techies and know their stuff... I will buy anything with these guys! But as for my experience this Sunday, young lady wasnt goung out of her way to help find bug spray. Instead she said it was in Phamacy and didn't know where about and hurried away. I ask the Pharmacist and he said on the othe side where cleaners are. Then I encounter a cashier who was rude! She asked if I had bags. I smiled. And brought them to her make life easier. She complained about there was no room. What? Really! Then the food package fell over side ways and she said complained about that! I had her twice and both times there was always an issue to her. But other than that love that store!

They say that people make an experience, and my great experience at this location was due to Grace, a lovely sales associate who was more than helpful to me during my shopping experience. I wish I could speak the same for other staff members, particularly management who seemed to fail to be present when help was needed. Thank goodness for people like Grace, who are bright eyed and cheery, and willing to step up to help out. I’ll be back!

You can't answer your phone, but your staff has time to watch me go to automotive, buy 2 wipers, 2jugs of soap, and 2 oil filters and brouse those 3 automotive aisles .? Do you not have cameras - security? Sorry but back the **** off. I don't know why you'd suspect me of stealing, never have I and it's extremely unlikely that I will in the future. As a regular customer we are not impressed with the stock that you keep in your Hanover store....Thur. Mar.15th my wife went over to shop ....half the shelves have no stock in them and when you have sales on starting on Thur. half the time there is no stock in for the sales.....not to impressed with your store...lame excuses like it is a small store and the big ones get the sale stock first...that does not set good with me I think if you have a sale on get the stock in for the customers and dont use that for a excuse. I think that the management of Walmart should look into this problem and rectify it .....Pissed off customer for sure!!!!!!!!

Shelves are mostly empty, staff refuses to help or move out of the way. Waited over 30 minutes for help in the baby isle and no one showed up. Asked to page again, associat paged. Still no service. If you can't train your staff properly don't open a store. EDIT: They now assume everyone is a theif. They stop everyone before they leave the store and ask to see your recipe. The only reason I visit this place is for my parents.

Nice clean store but almost always busy as expected on a weekend. It would be so much better to see items made in north America as opposed to everything made in China.
