Been going here since I was a kid to Dr. Crosby. Nice location, excellent nurse and Secretary. Crosby has supported me through a lot and is very caring and helpful.

First off, some useful information: in order to be served by the Sydney Family Practice Walk-in Clinic, you need to arrive in advance of the Registration time. Currently, that's 2:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; 1:30pm on Wednesday; and 9:30am on Fridays and Sundays. This changes, so best call the office to confirm in advance. If you don't get on the registration list, you will not be seen. I had the terrible experience of arriving at 4pm on a Monday and having to learn from scratch how the system worked. The receptionist was unhelpful to the extreme - she was terse and impatient when I asked questions, and in fact baldly lied to me when I asked if there were other walk-in clinics in Sydney (she said no). I understand that the healthcare system is pressed here, but seriously? Unacceptable.

Better talk to them a month before getting ill.

Most of the bad reviews here are for the clinic, though this is a bad situation all across the island. In the case of Dr. Gracie who I've been going to since I was born, this place has been fantastic. Both himself and his staff have helped me a lot through the years, and the pharmacy and it's staff are also great. I understand it's easy to be frustrated with the current issues going on in Cape Breton but I truly believe this clinic is doing their best in an extremely difficult climate.

Myself and my family have been going to Doctor Campbell for almosy thirty years. I find her to exemplify what I expect in a doctor. Professional, knowledgeable, efficient and even kind and compassionate. It's not a popularity contest in that sometimes doctors have to be direct in order to get the point across. I feel privileged to be her patient and dread the day she retires.

What a mess this place is . Everyone is arguing in the waiting room , stressed out , because you don’t sign in on a list for priority ... you sit there and wait for the registration to start and push and elbow through sick people in a cramped office , all trying to get ahead of you when they just walked in at the exact time the registering starts.

Dr mary ann Campbell is the worst doctor you can ever get she was my family doctor since I was a kid and she was always a horrible to me and now she lied to my insurance company and told them things that were not true and I lost my life insurance for my home over it, so If anything was to happened to me my daughter would be homeless. Thanks Dr Mary ann
