Went to Dr Roy and found that he was quick. Didn't like that he didn't say hello or make eye contact. Also didnt ask me if I had any concerns. No conversation of any kind. Creeped me out.

My experience? Lol ya that's exactly what it was an experience to say the very least. I had not even made it to my apt yet. So day before apt I get a reminder call which great thank you. Now I no sooner hung up the office calls back, oh she forgot to tell me something I thought lol. No I answer and she says can I speak to Amayah I giggle and said it's me Denyce we just hung up phone 1 second ago. Oh that wasn't me but sorry about that she says. Oh no worries but Amayah is my 8 year old daughter and yes we have an apt together back to back however you want to say it. OK so bye, OK bye. Oh forgot to mention that the first call she asked me if I could give her my health card number and version code. Told her I lost my card. She says well would it be possible for you to find it and call me prior to tmrw cause we have to submit whatever papers prior to apt. Oh ya sure no problem at all. OK so now we are 2 in the afternoon and low and behold do I not get yet another call from the office. Again telling me that she needed the number. So now at this point obviously it's yet another girl a different girl all together. So yes I made a comment saying. You know if I were at work I'd be upset that I got 3 callday from there and clearly cause of lack ofLOSERmunication with the secretaries. And by God ya I guess their would be their are 4 girls working today. Well does she not hang up on me. So I call back. This time Mr Roy answers and right away starts being quite rude with me to the point where he would not even hear me out. To tell him that their was no reason for her to hang up I wasn't rude at all just voiced that it was the third call and all-out the same thing. So yes upsetting. Mr Roy calls me A LOSER aand tells me all he was trying to do was help me. I found the comment quite amusing to the fact that we had not even met yet show was he doing me any favors at this point. I recorded the entire call as well. Horrible horrible Mr Roy. Fb is next.

A 1 star review is my 5 star review. I went in, he got down to business. I was out fast with a good prescription.

No stars Several visits and continued to miss diagnose me. Was given drops and cream. What I had was a serious eye inflammation called Uveitis. If he would have discovered the problem in time I would not have long term eye sight damage.

Does not interact with patients or family members. Not a good communicator.

Very disappointed in his services. Had glasses made as per the prescription he gave me. After several months (they say wear the glasses as it takes time for your eyes to adjust to them) returned the glasses to where I had them made. They assured me they were made to the specification Dr.Roy had provided me. Also told me they couldn't change the prescription unless it came from an optometrist. I returned to Dr.Roy's office saying the eye glasses didn't seem right. I was told by his staff He would re-test me for half his normal fee of $80.00, but that's it. So I would have to pay again to have my eyes checked and I would be out a $500.00 pair of glasses. I asked to speak directly with him and they said they would have him call me back. Big surprise, no call back. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND HIS SERVICES TO ANYONE.

I've been going to Dr. Roy for many years now, more out of habit than anything else. In my time with him, I've experienced what other users have reported. He can be inaccessible, and has messed up my prescription on more than one occasion. During my last visit, he conducted a number of tests without telling me why. Obviously, with your vision, this could be reason for concern. I've asked to speak with him immediately following an appointment (for clarification on a prescription for eye drops). His receptionist was not able to contact him directly, even though he clearly wasn't with anyone (I had literally JUST stepped out of his office). Instead, she had to "message" him to see if he was available. I waited around for 15 minutes, and ended up leaving. This is purely a business for him. You really don't feel like he cares about the people. I've since moved on to another optometrist, and it's a NIGHT AND DAY difference. The grass IS GREENER on the other side!
