I recently had the Lipoflow dry eye procedure at Spring Hill Eyecare by Dr. Beckman. I had no problems during the procedure or after. It was pretty much painless & quick. My vision was very blurry & my eyes were always tired due to dry eye previously. It's been a week & I am healing very well. My eyes have not felt dry due to the eyedrops & Bruder eye mask. I couldn’t recommend Spring Hill Eye Care enough! I just moved to the area from out of state and needed to find an optometrist quickly. I was able to get in with Dr. Rob within a few days and it was a wonderful experience! I’ve truly never had a provider take the time that Dr. Rob did to get to the root of the problem. He spent time listening to what my concerns and problems were and really worked with me until I was 100% happy with the plan. Dr side: Pros: I thought they did an awesome job checking our vision and making sure the script we were getting was correct. I liked the technology they had. The technician was my favorite of the staff. She was so amazing and I wish I remembered her name. Cons: I did not like how they tried to upsell from the eye drops to a different way of doing the exact same thing. I have never had a doctors office try to do this. I also have never had an eye doctor tell me I am at the top of progressive lenses as I actually have a smaller script compared to most people. This was just a way to get me to go with the prism lenses, which are not covered by insurance and would cost me $800. Optician side: Pros: It was very beautiful inside and felt welcoming. Cons: There was a VERY small kids section and nothing really stuck out. The women’s lenses were all priced above anyone’s insurance coverage so that either way you pay out of pocket. Then when pricing the lenses they were astronomical compared to what I have always payed. I have top of the line everything in my glasses and only paid 125 for them. They wanted over $400 and couldn’t offer what was already in my glasses. I also felt pressured to go with a certain type of lens for myself and my son. For kids glasses with the frames fully covered they wanted $175. This is even more crazy as I’ve only ever had to pay the $25 copay. It was all about upwelling and getting the most profit. It was not looking out for the customers best interest. As a first time client I am unsure if I will go back and considering canceling my husbands appointment.

First I would like to say, I hate having to write this review. But I'm truly hurt by the way I was treating at Dr. Rob office. I've been patient for years. I've referred countless patients to Dr. Rob. I had an issue the optical manager Amy. I called Melanie the office manager to try and resolve this issue.(No response) I wrote a letter to Dr. Rob and had it personally delivered to him. (No response). So here I am writing this review. Spring Hill eye is suppose to be a hometown optometry office. Their mission is to treat every patient like a member of their family while providing quality eye care. Well that didn't happen for me and my daughter. Is this how you treat your loyal patients? What hurts the most is I wasn't heard and I was completely ignored by Dr. Rob and his office manager Melanie, which I've known for years..

I have been a patient with Dr. Rob for several years. I have Sjogrens disease which causes extreme dry eye. Dr. Rob tested me and suggested that I try the LipiFlow treatment. The treatment is easy and painless. After the LipiFlow treatment I actually have moisture in my eyes. Before I suffered with grittiness, eye pain and really in misery most of the time. Since then my eyes feel the best than they have felt in several years. If you suffer from dry eye I would suggest to get tested to see if you qualify. To me, going once a year to check on your eyes can be a mundane errand, but Spring Hill Eyecare definitely changed my perspective!!! I honestly was in awe with the whole experience here. The set up is beautiful and whoever the interior designer is really makes the Eyecare Clinic feel homey. Everyone I encountered here were friendly and made me feel welcomed. I made a last minute appointment for a Contact Lenses Exam and they were able to book me in that same day! There was an issue with pulling up my Optic Insurance when I called, but they worked on it right away before I came in to make sure it was a smooth experience! (Amazing Service) When I checked in, they had me set up right away on an iPad. (Go Green!) They are also very up to date with their technology and staff is professional. It can be a little pricey versus other Eye Care specialist I’ve been to but after you experience the quality of this location, ITS WORTH IT!!! :)

I have been going to Spring Hill Eye Care for YEARS! Now all of a sudden with the mask mandates, they are not allowing anyone with medical disabilities to come into the office without a mask. My son cannot wear a mask for medical reasons, many other eye doctors and stores in the area are being understanding for exemptions for people with medical disabilities. I will take my business elsewhere!

I was hesitant to switch eye doctors after seeing the same one for over 10 years, but I am SO glad I did. Not only is the facility top of the line and a beautiful space, the people that work there are so nice and take time to get to know you. I didn’t feel like I was rushed through an appointment and I didn’t have to wait long! UPDATE 7/2021- Took my almost 3 year old for an eye check and he LOVED every part of it. The staff was friendly and over the top at making him feel comfortable. The icing on the cake was that it was kids week and no stone was left unturned. My son was devastated to LEAVE the eye doctor because he had “so much fun.” So, if my son could leave a Google review, he’d leave 5 stars too!

Ordered glasses from here off there perception from exam. Glasses came in and had trouble reading took them back was told I needed another exam to see if I needed prisms added to my glasses. After test was told I needed prisms which would be a extra 600 dollars. Told them I would have to think about that. I went next day to vision works and had them check my eyes for 2nd opinion. Prescription was different and they told me they felt I didn't need prisms. Returned to spring Hill eye care. Amy took care of me told her about my 2nd opinion she looked at the prescription and in her opinion it wasn't different enough to change anything. Ask her if they could check my eyes again was told no. So I ordered me a pair of glasses from vision works. When they came in I could read no problem. So I called Amy told her I would like a refund.She said she would have to call my provider to see if they would allow to reinstate my insurance. She told me she would call next day. She called me and told me insurance would not allow the return and reinstatement of benefits. She then told me nothing she can do about it that I would have to call my provider. So I called my provider and they told me they would gladly reinstate my benefits if spring Hill eye care requested it. So Amy flat out lied to me. My provider puts me on hold and calls Amy, Amy tells her that they will not file to reinstate my benefits and that if I want to bring my glasses in they would remake them to the other perception. What happened to needing 600 dollar prisms? In short they messed up my prescription and when I went somewhere else and they got it right she got mad. So I'm out 450 dollars because they don't want to stand behind there product. Plus tried to get 600 more dollars out of me for something I didn't need and refused to believe the prescription was wrong even after I told them I felt it was.

The building itself is a fun place to visit since it's filled with all sorts of pieces of history, including pieces from the house that used to sit on that property. The assistant, Preston, who took me back and did all the prr-work on me was amazing. Such a nice 19 year old. Explained everything without hesitation. Asked if I had questions throughout the process. Being new to the area, my wife and I wanted to show support for a local optometrist. However, after 3 eye appointments which have allowed us to experience many facets of the business, we won't be returning. Pros: Friendly staff, Beautiful facility. Cons: Poor selection of eyeglasses (especially for men), very expensive even with decent insurance. Beautiful facility (yes, look around you- you're paying for it). Got sold on an "inexpensive" eye cream for "eye mites" that was actually $39 (how are you to judge what is and isn't inexpensive?). And finally... In spite of the staff's friendliness (thanks Christy and Aimee!), we couldn't help but feel a lack of transparency at times. Upon checkout, I had to ask for an itemized receipt instead of just the receipt with the total. The individual rifled through paperwork to make sure I signed the form affirming I'd be responsible for all charges, as if there was already an anticipated argument. Also, prior to meeting Dr. Beckman, the technician performs what seems to be routine procedures during an annual checkup. What's missing, though, is the eye dilation- this is because they proceed to perform their Optomap Retinal Imaging, which is $35 and hasn't been covered by insurance for 20-some years (as Dr. Beckman made sure to inform me after the procedure was already completed and she was preparing to review my images). At no point is the $35 charge mentioned prior to performing the imaging, nor is the option to go with eye dilation instead of the imaging. I brought this up after my first checkup in 2019, and thought things would be different a year later, but no. $35 may not seem like a lot of money, but to some people it is, especially if insurance isn't covering it. The fact that Dr. Beckman nor anyone on the team brought this up prior to the procedure being performed is troubling, and doesn't encourage trust in the organization. Aimee, the billing manager, promised me that they would take a look at their process going forward, but after going through the hassle of trying to get a refund (which took a few days and calls to do so), we won't be returning.

I have been a patient of Spring Hill Eye Care for a number of years. Recently, I had begun to have a great deal of issues with double vision and problems seeing to drive at night. When my eyes got excessively tired, driving, reading and even watch TV had become problematic. I made an appointment and was tested with a new piece of equipment that Dr. Rob thought could correct my problems. I was given a prescription for neurolens. These lens help to realign eyes,as well as help with migraines, and neck pain. From the moment I got them, I could tell a huge difference. No more double vision! And I CAN DRIVE AT NIGHT! PROBLEMS SOLVED! I highly recommend this business.

I had an appointment today at Spring Hill Eyecare to get a glasses prescription and a contact lens prescription. The contact lens exam was not covered by my insurance, so the doctor rightfully asked beforehand if I wanted for her to do the exam anyway. I said yes. She did the exam, fitted me with appropriate lenses, and charged me for the exam ... but she would not provide the prescription for my contact lenses, which prevents me from shopping around to find the contacts cheaper someplace else. This appears to be a SCAM to force patients to order their contacts from this clinic! I complained to numerous staff about the hardship this was creating for me, and the inappropriateness of charging for an exam without providing a prescription afterwards, but none of the staff seemed to care and all of them were extremely unhelpful ... after all, they had already taken my money! Avoid this place at all costs! UPDATE: As a follow-up to the response posted by the clinic, I will add that at no time before the contact lens exam did the doctor, or any of the other staff, inform me that the doctor would not issue a same-day prescription for my contact lenses. I was fitted with daily-wear disposable lenses that were perfectly comfortable, and I was given enough sample lenses to last a few days. Then, I was told to call back in two weeks if I wanted to order more of those particular lenses. I immediately explained that I needed a prescription for a twelve-month supply of contact lenses before leaving the clinic because (1) I do not live near Spring Hill and do not wish to make a four-hour roundtrip drive back there to pick it up on a different day, (2) I need to order and receive the lenses by December 31 ... less than 4 weeks from now, with a major holiday toward the end ... in order to use my insurance benefits for the lenses, and (3) I will be out-of-state for about half of December due to holiday travel. A technician informed me that the prescription could be mailed at a later date, but that doesn’t help if I don’t timely receive the mail due to misdelivery (an ongoing problem with my mail carrier) or I am simply not home to receive the mail due to my travel plans. She then said it could be emailed, but email is also sometimes not reliable, and since that is an unconventional method of providing a prescription I’m concerned that it may not be accepted wherever I ultimately decide to order the contact lenses. Due to the short timeframe I’m working with, I cannot afford any hold-ups by any of the involved parties. The bottom line is, I was physically present at the clinic and should have been able to leave there with the prescription in hand, just as I have at every other eye clinic I’ve used in the past. Instead, the staff repeatedly insisted that I could order the lenses from them more cheaply than I could get them anywhere else, which I seriously doubt especially since they’re making it difficult for me to actually shop around. Many vendors will not provide pricing unless an actual prescription is presented ... having the “brand and power” on the sample boxes the doctor provided is NOT sufficient (and I know this because of past experiences, as prior vendors have ALWAYS required the actual prescription prior to quoting prices, NOT simply the product packaging). As noted previously, staff clearly did not care about any of my concerns ... they already had my money, so they were simply done dealing with me! While there are particular staff, such as the ridiculously titled “Director of First Impressions,” whose jobs clearly center around patient perceptions of the clinic, my experience left me with a TERRIBLE IMPRESSION of the clinic. I won’t be back, and neither will my fiancé who accompanied me (who, by the way, was already a patient there, and who did have a positive impression of the clinic based on his initial visit a few months ago, only to have that impression wrecked upon seeing what I encountered during my appointment). So, Spring Hill Eyecare, CONGRATS ON LOSING TWO PATIENTS due to POOR PATIENT CARE and FINANCIAL GREED.

Yesterday was our first visit to the new location for our exams. We have been going to Spring Hill Eyecare for several years. Our "back of house" experience was great! The techs who do the pre tests and Dr. Rob were fabulous! My experience with the opticians was terrible! As we exited our exam rooms we were told it would be a few minutes before an optician could get to as they were all busy with other patients. As we walked into the glasses frame area, we found them all sitting at their desks looking around and talking to each other ( no other patients in the area) while my son and I looked around at frames. No one came over to help us choose the right frames etc. One finally came over and said "are you ready?" I said "we are having trouble finding the right frames". She said "ok I will print out your scripts so you can go". I asked if I could have my current glasses cleaned and tightened. She rolled her eyes and said she would be right back. My glasses were still dirty. She took out a cloth and said "that's all I can do your glasses are old". I got up called to my son, paid and left. As I said, we have been going there for years. All of us have glasses from them. We were not the last patients of the day, but I felt like I was being rushed. I have NEVER had such a bad customer service experience until yesterday.

First time there !!! Had to get a field test done to be able to get medication for arthritis . Came in around lunchtime and they had no appointments available for the day , first available was a week or so out. I explained that I had just been diagnosed with another “problem” and that I would not know if I could make an appointment and be able to keep. WARNING! Please research and read reviews before making an appointment with this facility. My husband and I are both seniors on social security with no vision insurance. We wanted to support local businesses and made an appointment for eye exam and possibly new glasses. After my exam I was told my glasses would be here in 2 weeks, i continued to call each week for status, always an excuse. 6 weeks later I got my glasses (now it was in the middle of pandemic). Was told would get one free appt.with any adjustments necessary. Glasses were blurry, I called and said I was not getting out due to Covid (age and medical issues prevented) was told they understand and call when I felt it was safe. 6 months later (after not being able to wear new ones, I called for appointment.......was told it’s too late, should have come in within 30days and I would have to pay for exam and changes. I paid over $600 and now would have to pay more. I contacted BBB and filed a complaint. Did not realize the only thing they do is send letter to business and ask if they would honor promise, business said no, BBB sent me letter saying claim has been closed. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BUSINESS. We just don’t any others to go through what we have.

This is a beautiful building and all of the staff are friendly. I did not enjoy the sales techniques that were employed during my visit. I have been a sales professional and sales leader for more than 10 years and what they do at Spring Hill EyeCare are shady techniques. They performed an eye scan before I was told how much it cost then later in the exam I was asked if i wanted to see my eye in this way or do it the old school way. Second was having me sign for a contact lens exam when I told the tech and doctor that all I wanted was glasses, then charging me for an exam that I didn’t ask for. Be aware when you walk in these doors. This doesn’t feel like a doctors office, it is a sales office with doctors in it.

We had to pay a $50.00 internet package fee to get the pupillary distance which SHOULD be included in a glasses prescription. Bottom line is they do not want you to buy glasses elsewhere. Even with insurance covering over half of the frames and part of the lens cost they wanted an additional $300 for a pair. Never once was I asked what type of lens or protection or explained how to use my benefits. When I decided to purchase online and come back to have them adjusted the optometrist said things like “ I can’t adjust them from the hinges because online glasses are of poor quality “ .. who would adjust at the hinges anyway ? And further more I started to look at Spring Hill eyes glasses on display and they had the same hinges/ hardware on several pair!! More than once I was told how the glasses I ordered may not last .I still provided glasses for my child but somehow was made to feel less than because it wasn’t from your office.The glasses I ordered online last year lasted the entire year! Also both glasses (this and last year )held up great and cost me under $ 100 in total each pair .The online prescriptions were correct when checked after receiving the glasses.We will not go back to Spring Hill eyecare in the future . Upselling should not be the main priority. My child deserves a better eye care facilty , one in which her eye care needs are met. I am sure we aren’t the only people who have experienced this and the manner in which we were treated was not professional or ethical in my opinion.

I have a theory that every patient leaves Dr. Rob thinking "yep, I'm his favorite." That's the sign of a good doctor and a good person. You have to work really hard to visit Spring Hill Eyecare and walk away not feeling like you've made a friend. It's hard to feel that personal care at any of the big corporate vision centers. Dr. Rob knows you, cares about you, and gives you that time and care that is probably the reason you chose a local optometrist anyway. Great people, great doctor, great care.

This place deserves everyone of their 5 stars! I was visiting from out of town and felt that I got something in my eye. I went to an urgent care on a Sunday night as my eye was killing me. They numbed it and did the florescent drops and did not find anything in there and said I had an eye infection and wrote an antibiotic RX. On Tuesday, my eye was still hurting and still felt like something was in it. Called up Spring Hill Eyecare and they were able to fit me in. They were VERY COVID cautious and everything was clean and well organized. Dr. Kathryn Beckman was very prompt and friendly. After putting in the florescent drops, Dr. Beckman said she suspected there was something up under my eyelid because of the redness she saw on my upper eye. She was able to flip my eyelid and found the culprit!! The pain was instantly gone and I was so appreciative. She said the piece was stuck in the fleshy part of my eyelid and probably would not have come out on its own and would have continued to agitate my eye and probably develop into an ulcer!!! Yikes!! They even called the Walgreens to make sure they had the RX eyedrops in stock before they sent me there! I am so thankful for Dr. Beckman and the amazing team at Spring Hill Eyecare.

I had a horrible eye ache and she was able to diagnose the problem straightaway and get me on antibiotics.
