5 years ago, both of my eyes randomly started tearing. For 6 months, every moment of every day I had tears streaming down my face. When I woke up each morning, my eyes were sealed completely shut. I had to touch the walls of my room just to guide myself into the washroom to try and rinse my eyes open. I could not wear makeup, I could not drive and it looked like I was crying 24/7. Multiple times a week the skin under my eyes would react to the excessive tearing which caused hive like rashes and my eyes would swell almost completely shut. In the next following 6 months, I went to 6 different eye specialists plus an allergist. Each doctor told me something different, and each one would prescribe me multiple steroid drops for a quick fix (which I later learned could have done more damage) the worst part of it all, each doctor said that I would have to live like this and that there was nothing they could do. My family doctor gave me a referral to Toronto Optometry which I was rejected from being seen as “they only deal with the worst of the worst eye issues/trauma.” I was devastated and very depressed throughout it all. I could not figure out how to live my life moving forward with the constant 24/7 tearing with burning rashes on my face!! Just when all hope was lost, a family member suggested that I visit Dr. Goldberg, he explained how he had his laser eye surgery done by him over 20 years ago, and that he really liked Dr. Goldberg as he was very knowledgeable and performed a life changing procedure. I had nothing to lose and so I got the referral to see him. After my first visit, Dr. Goldberg immediately booked another appointment for me the following day for a minor procedure as he believed he knew how to solve my issue. I was really happy and I had a good feeling about it as he was indeed very knowledgeable, patient and took his time with me. The next day I had the procedure done, and all tearing had stopped. I woke up the next morning and I could open my eyes without having to wash them first, no rashes, no swelling. I went to tell my mom the amazing news and she said “oh no Olivia your eyes are still tearing!” But they were tears of happiness this time! Fast forward to March 2021, Dr. Goldberg performed laser eye surgery on me, changing my life yet again and leaving me with BETTER than 20/20 vision. You only get one pair of eyes and I experienced the fear and uncertainty of having that taken away from me. From his positive and professional bedside manner and quite frankly saving me from a lifetime of pain, I trust Dr. Goldberg with my life. He has changed my life on more than one occasion and I am forever grateful!!

I do not recommend this opthamoligist to anyone, because of waiting 2 hours to finally talk this clown, and does not respect your privacy, keeps the door open , he.has terrible communication skills because to old and does not care about you, he cares about the amount of patients he jam in his office in one day , he gives the Jewish community a bad name !!!

Dr. Goldberg performed Lasek surgery on my eyes. It is such a delicate procedure for such an important part of life, I would not trust anyone else but Dr. Goldberg. He is so gentle and kind, he talked me through the entire procedure and explained everything he was doing to my eyes. My only job was to stare at the red light and he made me feel like a rockstar doing it. During my recovery, Dr. Goldberg called me personally to see how I was doing. This was unexpected and such a nice touch. It shows that he really cares about his patients and will take the time after hours to make sure you're okay. He told me I could call him if I need to but I didn't need to. Dr. Goldberg, I cannot thank you enough for restoring my gift of sight. It is so wonderful to open my eyes and see the world clearly. I am so happy I made the decision to get my eyes done, it is an investment in myself that I will never regret. My sister also had her eyes done by Dr. Goldberg years ago and recommended him to me. I am glad I listened to her. I would recommend Lasek for anyone that has vision problems and is a good candidate, to just do it and to go with Dr. Goldberg, you will not regret it. Everyone at the Goldberg clinic are so nice and helpful. I couldn't not be happier Update: 3 years later and I’m still so pleased with my results. Better than 20/20 vision

I do not recommend this place. I had my eyes checked here and got a prescription that was WAY OFF and gave me terrible headaches and blurry vision. Even though I got my glasses at a well-known store, the doctor suggested that the store was to blame. He pressured me to come for a second visit even though the examination was going to cost me another couple hundred of dollars. When I tried to reschedule my appointment at the doctor’s recommendation, the receptionist accused me of lying. I’m taking my business elsewhere, thanks for wasting my money and my insurance coverage :)

Everyone at the office is always so professional and friendly. Had my mono vision done two months ago. Best decision of my life! If you are hesitating just go for it. Dr Goldberg, made me feel very comfortable. The recovery is a few months to see the full effect but I am so happy already.

I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg. The staff are friendly and the office clean. He is worth the drive every time. I suffered for 2 years with tearing eyes . I had been to my own family Dr. , allergist, optometrist walk in clinics. No one was able to diagnose or help me. I was referred to Dr. Goldberg and he assessed and treated me. I had relief with in 24 hours of my first visit and continue to have good eye health. He inserted punctual plugs and removed a cyst on my eyelid. Both times he was gentle, efficient, and explanatory of the process. I am extremely grateful to have been referred here and will continue as a loyal patient.

Always a super long wait for the smallest of appointments. Sells you "warranty" when nothing is covered, even though you paid premium rates for everything. Better to go to someone who's only focus is eyes. Not their spa and products. Also makes sure to include instructions to leave a 5 star review. What a joke.

I'm so happy I was referred to Dr. Goldberg. First I like him very much, he's charming and makes me feel very comfortable. I have no doubt at all that he's giving me the best care. The office is very busy and emergencies come up as well. It's hard to sit and wait of course but maybe the care that Dr. Goldberg is giving others is a priority or an emergency situation and yours is not. I've overheard the girls at the desk sounding authoritative but I believe it is in managing that many people their individual circumstances and also to ensure patients are hearing what they are being told because sometimes in our anxiousness we aren't great listeners. They are very nice people and I have only ever seen that. Wish I worked there.

My prescription was really strong very high and after doing my research I discovered that Dr. Goldberg is the best and most proficient in the industry it has now been over 6 months after my laser procedure and I have better than 20 20 vision I strongly recommend Dr. Goldberg he is the best

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME!! My significant other waited an hour and fifteen minutes in the waiting room, then another 20 minutes in the office. She tried to reschedule due to this office's incompetence and she was told that she will be charged $100, which is a lot of money during these covid times. While waiting outside, I seen another gentleman fuming. I asked him if he's ok, and it turns out he called and tried to reschedule and they told him he will be charged $100 as well. He showed, ON TIME, and there's no doctor in the office. The receptionist is rude as heck, very unprofessional and unpleasant. This OFFICE DOES NOT CARE about you or your health, they only care about your wallet. And after reading some of the other reviews, this seems to be a common problem at this office. I would NOT RECOMMEND this doctor to anyone.

Dr.Goldberg helped correct my vision. My eye sight has been better than 20/20 ever since. I was scared to correct my vision while playing pro hockey but I didn’t miss a beat. Front staff and doctor Goldberg are polite and professional. Thank you

From my opinion, here was a good place to go to for the total eye care. My eyes were irregular and needing correction so after Lasek, they have become very enhanced and pleasant. Thank you to their team.

I have been going to Dr. Goldberg for many many years. I would not trust my eyes to anyone else. Sometimes there is a wait but with something a precious as eye sight you need a caring & talented Ophthalmologist and Dr. Goldberg fits that description to a "T". He knows what he is doing. His staff is very accommodating. I've never had a negative issue there.

Two years ago, I was referred to Dr.Goldberg due to my lower lip eyes problem. When I first arrived the staffs were nice initially, I had to wait for over 2 hours just to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes. I was asked to do surgery, prior to surgery the doctor said that the surgery is NOT covered by OHIP so I had to pay upfront. While I was waiting for my surgery, the doctor told me to wait at his medical spa room at the basement in which staffs were there selling beauty products to me... After the surgery I found out that he over cut my lower lip on the eye now it can never be grown back to normal and I need to do surgery elsewhere to fix his mistakes, not only that he kept telling me to come back to see him every two weeks. I went back and again, had to wait 2 hours just to see him for a minute and he does not give any suggestions to improve my eye issues, what a waste of my time. So I decided to not go back and that is when the secretary became rude and defensive towards me. The secretary rudely said "you are using the doctor after having surgery." Just a heads up before you go to this doctor watch out because he is profit first over client first.

Although, I enjoyed my first visit as a referral patient. I believe that there was some sort of miscommunication that occurred on my second visit. I was initially told that I would be doing a CT scan not an eye examination for a new prescription. I've done an eye examination less than a month ago at another optometrist. However, my sole purpose of visiting this establishment was for a referral. I didn't appreciate the tone of voice the receptionist used as I was being shouted at. Meanwhile, I felt threatened and confused about the entire situation.

Dr. Goldberg is wonderful and caring eye doctor - I highly recommend him and he's very patient, thorough and honest. We were in need of an ophthalmologist quickly because my daughter needed help with a burst blood vessel and painful eye. Dr. Goldberg office scheduled a surgeon quickly dealing with it and followed up it until my daughter eye healed. Again, we are grateful for Dr. Goldberg caring and compassionate manner and staff.

It has been 10 years plus, and there is not a day that I regret choosing to have surgery done on my eyes so as to not require corrective lenses anymore. Being one who could not even read the digits on her bedside alarm clock in the morning, it was a downright miracle to be able to read the time on the clock on the wall in the procedure room immediately following the surgery. I thank Dr. Goldberg for doing everything within his power to calm me emotionally pre-op, and for serving me well as a gifted surgeon.

Not a good experience. They have waited me for more than 3 hours !!! And after I complained, seems like dr.Goldberg him self punished me for further referral to another doctor ( can you believe an eye doctor will refer me to another eye doctor for Such a minor problem of my eye .) And in my this acute case I still have to wait 2 more weeks . And the front desk is a rip off .they just want you to pay $99 an eye exam fee even if you are referral(in a tricky way)
