A bunch of scammers that charge you twice for one check up. Used my OHIP and charged me again. Like $100 down the drain. Used ortho lenses here for many years and being charged over $700 for the plan and only 2 checkups a year. This is a total scam

This doctor preys on uneducated immigrants and you should go somewhere else because I did not exaggerate anything here at all. Someone I know went to a normal doctor and was told that he only needs something very simple that can be picked up for cheap at a pharmacy. Still concerned, the parent went to this doctor because he's "helped" her in the past. She was then told that the original prescription will not work and he used fear to lure the parent in to his sales tactics and charged an unreasonable amount of money for a virtual appointment where very limited useful information was given in exchange. Now the parent has to pay hundreds of dollars in tests when the only thing he needed was just a couple dollars

Came here for many years seemed like a pretty good place. Not sure what is going on now, but it seems the secretaries and Doctors are having communication problems. I booked an appointment one year ago, showed up, no one knows why I am there. I shrug it off, and re-book for a month later, July 27 (first available), showed up and confusion strikes again. I will never go here again, and recommend everyone stay away.

Err, their receptionists lie. Just plain lie. Told me to get these toric contact lenses and I'd get a $100 rebate. But the rebate is in fact only for $45.

Interesting to see reviews about others feeling pressured to buy eye health products including IDrop and medical treatments for dry eye/MGD. In my experience of going there for a few years now I've always felt their service is great. I did recently get advised to buy the products and treatments for dry eye/MGD but never felt pressured to buy them. That said, I am a bit skeptical now seeing that others have been recommended the same treatments recently and wondered how many more have been.

We already knew wait time was going to be long, which we could overlook (but cannot understand why it’s a 30-45 min wait each time). On top of this, my sister had IPL therapy performed and her eyelashes on one eye were literally burned off. That is extreme carelessness by the nurse/staff. There are better and more caring optometrists out there who can perform the same service if not at a better rate. ***edit: Since then, we were compensated for that one treatment and was advised we were unlucky as it happens like once every 5 years. But still that is not an excuse and better training should be implemented or risks should be advised in advance.

Saw the negative reviews which is why I am posting positive one. My brother and his family going to him for years he recommend me to see him. My experience was nothing but positive. Yes his costs are more than others when you see the machines they use on you before you see doctor its worth it. Very few doctors have these advance machines. Normal doctor you just read chart they look into your eyes thats it. Totally different here. Sorry for long review but if your comparing prices you need to know his eye exams go beyond the typical one.

DO NOT COME HERE. I have been coming to this office for a couple years. Recently Dr Ng and his daughter diagnosed me with dry eyes when I told him I don't feel like I have dry eyes. It came out of no where! When I asked why he thinks that he points out my "scan" and things to look at to determine dry eyes. When I pointed out how the scans don't show like I have dry eyes, he told his "assistant" to show me. His assistant proceeded to sell me the expensive eye drops (mentioned in other reviews) - which is a steroid that my doctor told me to stay away from, and a heat pad for your eyes. I profusely said no to both and they continued to sell me on it. I was also diagnosed a $300 vision therapy diagnostic and was not told vision therapy was $8000. I did the diagnostic not knowing how much therapy was going to cost! And they didn't want to tell me how much it would cost without doing the diagnostic. The vision diagnostic could make you dizzy and have headaches but they didn't tell me a thing too. My diagnosis was given to me on a sticky note. And I was told to attend therapy for $8000. When I asked about the breakdown of the price, dr Ng's daughter told her "assistant" to walk me through it. In which, the manager of the office told me "why are you asking? You can afford it." And made a comment on my outfit. At this point I wanted to just get my report and never come back. THEY CHARGED ME $198-$298 FOR A REPORT ON A $300 DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THIS IS NOT AN OPTOMETRIST OFFICE YOU WANT TO GO TO. YOU WILL GET SUCKED IN TO THEIR SCAMS. STAY AWAY.

This office is operated as a business first and foremost. The fees are very hidden and seem arbitrary and suddenly you're forking up $150 randomly. When something is run this way, patient care easily slips. Please avoid this office! It's a really scary atmosphere to be in.

I've been going to this clinic for many years and I had an absolute amazing experience with Dr Vincent law every time. I once had an emergency situation (infection) and was scheduled to see Dr Albert Ng, the owner of the clinic, since Dr law was not available. Dr Ng is more of a business man than a doctor. Aside from my infection, Dr Ng told me I have dry eyes and he rushed me to follow one of his staff to use this eye equipment. I was not advised by Dr Ng nor by his staff that there will be an additional cost for this treatment. Afterwards, he talked to me about all these different treatments that offer at his clinic to treat dry eyes and how I MUST book an appointment to do them at his clinic. He then left me with his staff to sell me all these overpriced omega oil pills, eyes drops and heatpads. I am very aware of my dry eyes situation since it was diagnosed and discussed with Dr. Law years prior. Dr. Law did not advised me for any of those treatments that Dr. Ng suggested because of the low percentage of success and it's high price. Dr Albert Ng does not care for his patients and will only scam you. Never going back.

I am speaking for myself and friends and family. We do not like our experience at Albert Ng's. He tricked my grand parents. This is dishonesty at its worst!! Treatment for my grandparents was unnecessary. He is intimidating the elderly. Please, if anyone is experiencing eye problems, get a trusted medical doctor to check you first! Its a better opinion and a lot more trust worthy. Or find someone with a better reputation. Get a first opinion from a medical doctor because Albert Ng is not one. He suggests useless, unnecessary and expensive treatments.

A lot of equipments, great optometrists. BUT, also the worst appointment system you will ever experience, over crowded space, pricy bills and some under-trained staffs. The contact lens yearly program is good system, but poorly executed. I want to love this place because my optometrist is awesome, but I cannot love this place because of everything else.

Went here for a long time. Recently made a rescheduling, when i arrived, they had no record of my appointment. They told me my doctor was not even available on that day of the week. I even tried calling them a few hours before just to confirm my appointment but they were too busy with other patients to even answer my call.

My daughter had her IPL treatment and came home with half her eyelashes burnt off. That is careless and irresponsible of the clinic. Do not come to this clinic for your optometry needs. Stay far away.

I’ve been going for years and years and my eye doctors before have never mentioned this but when I met with Dr Albert Ng and his daughter I was told that I had a MGD and dry eye disease and that I needed to buy their eye drops which were $30 and their eye mask too when I easily could use a hot towel instead. On top of all that, they told me I needed to go get an assessment from them for their clinic which was $300 for a two day assessment, not even for the treatment, for a condition that I had my whole life. I didn’t like this kind of atmosphere that I was put into that basically tried to constantly make me buy things

Why do people still come here to burn money?!! Why!!

I went for meibomian gland dysfunction tried IPL did not help at all. I found it was a money grab

Don’t waste your time! Receptionist rushed me off the phone, and told me she had 2 patients waiting for her. She was talking so fast! Can’t believe an eye examination would cost $168 ????....

I came here to leave my own review but I am surprised to see some of these reviews. His office has been around for several decades and always busy so he must be doing something right! I can only talk on behalf of my own experience. My family has been going to Dr Ng's for years. My mom brought me when I was young. My vision had worsened and at the time I was very self conscious about wearing glasses. He was one of the only doctors doing AOK in Ontario and he sorted me out instantly with eye braces. When I decided to get laser he advised me on all the options. I decided to get the surgery and he referred me to an excellent opthamologist. Since starting my own family I have continued to take my family here. Whenever we go, the staff are kind and welcoming. The clinic is busy so the wait time can be long (as is any doctor's office) but nothing a book or magazine can't fix. The doctors are knowledgeable and compassionate (I, of course, stick to Dr Ng as I wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyes!). You can tell Dr Ng loves what he does as he explains complex eye problems and breaks it down into simple concepts. I am always recommending him to my friends and family, and they continue to see him regularly too. I’ve never felt “forced” to buy anything from them. I don’t see how this is possible considering everyone has the right to make their own decisions - if you don’t want it, don’t buy it. It seems juvenile to pin the blame on a doctor for your own decision but that’s just my two cents. Well done Dr Albert Ng & Associates for all your hard work. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed!

I won't go there any more. My Mum went to eye checkup. Before she saw the doctor, the receptionist trickily convinced her to do a examination that cost $118 which was unnecessary. After that, they also convinced my Mum to buy omega-3 or eye drops in their clinic.

Been going here with my family for several years. A rare optometrist service which provides high-quality care exceeding expectations. I had been to several optometrists before but it wasn't until my friend referred me here that my family and I knew what proper eye care felt like. The technology and tests are the most modern I've ever seen. They detect eye conditions significantly earlier than most, allowing the opticians to appropriately refer you on early to avoid any serious eye damage. 100% recommend 2010 eye care cenetre.

Mingy P

Money eater. I needed to request my records to be transferred to another optometrist and I was quoted 2 different prices by 2 different staffs. 60 for short report, 90 for full report from one staff; another quoted me 125 for full report! Shouldn't prices be the same for all clients? Also, my son needed vision therapy service which was not covered by OHIP; and he was quoted automatically 8500$ with no discount or offered any financial support program. So I found another optometry place that provides REAL vision therapy service for half the price.

David Chung

Do not come here or see someone else, beside Albert Ng. We do not like our experience with him. It's always 50-60 minute wait each time. He always suggests unnecessary and expensive treatments. Feeling pressured to buy eye products and treatments. He is only interested in making money.

It’s sad that there are so many negative reviews. However, I need to give 5 stars since Dr Lau is really kind when I went there this morning. Also the equipment is much better. It can check many fields for your eye condition. Although the price is a little bit higher than other places. But their equipments are also better than other places. Dr Lau checked all fields of my eyes since I was really worried if I got high pressure on my eyes. (I felt swelling for my right eye!). Now I just need to adjust my degrees of my lense a little bit. If you got OHIP or any insurance that can cover the eye examinations. Why not do an full eye examination here?

DO NOT GO THERE! I had a terrible experience being Dr. Albert Ng's patient for 5 years. His assistants are arrogant and rude. I wanted to ask the clinic about a coverage. When I went to the clinic, the assistant told me she could not get the doctor and asked me to send an email instead. I did that, but heard no reply for 1 month, finally, someone replied telling me to call the clinic. After which I called the clinic 3 times, each time being directed to wait, or come in to resolve the problem. It has been 2 months, and I'm sure the Doctor still has no idea I was trying to get him. ALSO, EVERY OPTOMETRIST COVERS THIS TEST. In the past, I have paid for this test because Dr. Ng is only interested in making money and have lied to his patients. I'm pretty sure he instructs his assistants to charge twice- once through OHIP, once in cash. I have not exaggerated any detail. Please listen to my advice, and don't go there !
