Refused to Rectify Error
Had eye exam to test my eyes for glasses with Dr Eric Siesel, paid the $75.00 exam fee. Ordered glasses and sun glasses online with his prescription. New glasses arrived but it was blurry when I looked through them, they were worse than my glasses prescription from 6 years ago. Scheduled another appt and was retested. Dr Siesel admitted he made a mistake with the prescription, said he was sorry – turns out that BOTH eyes, 3 numbers were wrong. BUT he then refused to pay for the replacement lenses I had to order because of his mistake or alternatively to put new lenses in the frames I already purchased if I brought them to his office. He even refused to at least refund the eye exam fee of $75.00. So now I am out an extra $180.00 for new lenses and shipping because of his error plus weeks of delay. I realize mistakes can happen but when the business refuses to make it right by covering my associated costs or replacing the lenses, that is totally unacceptable! I do not recommend Dr. Siesel or this optometrist business!
*In response to your reply below: As we explained and you admitted, you made the error with your original prescription - this is the one we provided to the lens companies when we ordered glasses. It was not their mistake it was yours. You should warranty your prescription and the costs associated with us having to have the lenses remade a 2nd time with your revised prescription as this was solely because of your error!
