Eye gallery is the best spot in Saskatoon to have your eyes checked. Very professional, especially Dr Dean is so good with the kids! Highly Recommended!

Hadn't been for an eye exam in over 15 years. Went to The Eye Gallery upon recommendation and have nothing but good things to say. They got me in right away due to a cancellation, all the staff was friendly and professional, and when we realized I could use glasses, they were very helpful in setting me up with what I wanted. No pressure at all. Within 2 days from that appointment I had my new glasses, and they fit / work great. 10/10, would recommend!

Dr. Weniger and staff were great when I had my eye exam, very professional and personable! I highly recommend The Eye Gallery.

Very friendly staff here. The facility is very clean. Nice variety of frames. The contacts are on the expensive side...

Dr Weninger was personable, didn't rush me, answered the MANY questions I had, and made it a great experience. Kudos. And an extra thank you to Tyler for the pre-exam and the laughs. What an amazing experience when you have people that are so friendly and so comfortable and confident at their jobs. I'm looking forward to the next time I get to go see the Eye Gallery in Saskatoon.

Went to see Dr. Weninger for regular eye exams. He gave sufficient time to listen to me, and explained everything very clearly about my eyes. I am VERY happy about the appointment. Wonderful person!

Came in to see Dr. Wringer and he was so kind and an overall great dr! Very pleased with the service he gave me. As for the ladies at the front desk, they aren’t very friendly. Had some issues with my insurance paying and she just kept giggling and saying she doesn’t know. Everything I ask her, she replied that she didn’t know. No real effort to help me sort it out. I was more than willing to pay and call the insurance company after. But she made a little remark in passing, which made me feel like she was assuming that I couldn’t afford to pay the balance. And then she went as far as saying “you have to pay it before you leave.” I told her I had no intention of leaving and not paying. Then she kept whispering right infront of me to another lady. Maybe about something else? I don’t know but the whole experience at the front desk made me not want to even bother to check out the frames. I’ll get my glasses elsewhere. Only reason this isn’t a one star review is because Dr. Weniger was so amazing.

I would leave no star if possible. I have Complex PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder, along with a heart condition. As a result of this, I am unable to wear a mask. So according to the human rights commission, since I am able to wear a shield, businesses amust accomodate for this exemption. The Eye Gallery refuses. They will not allow me to step into their office if I am "unwilling to comply with the health guidelines." My children are supposed to have their first eye exam there, and I informed them ahead of time that I am unable to wear the mask, so I will be wearing a shield, as that is what I can do. Apparently, they are above the rules set out my the guidelines that state that there are medical exemptions, and that businesses are to comply with this and make accomodation for these situations. Do you know what their suggestion is?? They are able to take my kids in for me for their appointment without me; I can just bring them masked to the door. They seriously expect my 4 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter to go in for their first time at this office by themself?! This is ridiculous and discrimination. I am very upset and triggered and frustrated with this office. Don't recommend at all, unless you have zero medical or mental health issues. If you have a health issue that needs accomodation, don't hold your breath.

I was accused of lying ???? for needing one lense for my prescription. She told me to wait while she deferred to the Wonderful Dr Matz who advised her the same. I have no intention of returning back. Maybe try somewhere else. The staff wasn't happy or compassionate or caring for that matter. The dr was 5 star staff 0

We've been seeing Dr. Weninger since my daughter was born, and I cannot say enough about him. My daughter has some issues with Anxiety, and part of that doesn't do well when she doesn't know what's going on. He explains every step to her making her feel 100% comfortable, and they usually end up joking and laughing - it doesn't feel like an eye exam. He is extremely patient and takes the time to explain both my and her eyes and any changes, as well as what the expectations are with her eyes as she grows. I've also never felt pressured to order new prescriptions if my eyes change slightly as I have with other optometrists in the past, Dr. Weninger is realistic and makes recommendations on what works best for me.

I can't recommend the Eye Gallery enough. The people have been consistently welcoming and service great. Over the last year I've been slightly rougher on my glass than normal and they have been exceptional ataccommodating the repairs: even when i was contacted in Ottawa. The service truly was above and beyond. If in need of a new optometrist or just want new glasses, I would highly suggest checking them out!

Dean is amazing! He is so knowledgeable and kind. He puts so much care into everything he does. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

We have had nothing but great service at The Eye Gallery. Dr Weninger has always been so helpful and accommodating. He has put up with my kids, (who have very different reactions to doctor visits) with great decorum. The staff are professional and extremely helpful. I have found that, at some other optometric dispensaries, you feel like they are trying to sell you the most expensive frames possible. At The Eye Gallery, they work with the patient to find the best frames,, regardless of whether they are not the most expensive ones. I would highly recommend The Eye Gallery and Dr. Weninger to anyone who wants to go into an optometrist’s office, and feel like they have the complete attention of the staff, and want to be made comfortable.

The care of the people at Eye Gallery is wonderful. From the receptions, to the individuals who adjust, fit, and sell glasses, to my eye Dr, Dr. Dean. A big thank you.

Everyone was so friendly and I was well taken care of! Definitely recommend to anyone that needs a new eye doctor.

My whole family (even extended family) has been going to the eye gallery for quite some time. We have always liked the service and treatment we have received. When I needed vision therapy it seemed like a easy choice to go to the eye gallery but honsetly Dr. Hall is the worst eye Dr ever.. she thinks she is better than you and treats you like a child. I will be continuing my eye therapy somewhere else and I may take our regular check up else where to. No one should be treated like garbage when paying for a service. Would never refer anyone to them again.

I have always had great experiences at the Eye Gallery. The front end staff are kind and friendly, they call for appointment reminders and understanding when I've had to reschedule. Dr. Weninger is wonderful to deal with. His professionalism is balanced with kindness and empathy and he's very personable. He takes the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions and explain how my vision works and is changing.

Worst place if visiting second time!!! I went to this place couple of times for checkup. Initially they were very good and treated me well. I was too much satisfied until my next visit when I bought new prescription of glasses. They gave me wrong prescription and keep on arguing that give them time to adjust. I almost gave 2 months and contacted them again but they were very unprofessional. In 6 month I contacted them couple of times to complain about my glasses that they are still not working for me but no positive response. They never helped me in changing my glasses and it was completely waste of money. I spend almost 450$ on my first prescription glasses and 375$ on next. I am now going to try some different place. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

I’ve had the absolute best experience here. Dr. Coben helped me through a very scary situation with my eyes. She was so thorough and patient with me, and went above and beyond in her care. Another girl (don’t remember her name) was so extremely helpful with finding a pair of glasses. I usually can’t find a pair I like and she found so many! And then sat down with me and helped me pick them apart until we found the perfect one. Excellent service and everyone has been so kind!

I am very happy with my experience at the Eye Gallery. Dr. Matz was great: professional, very kind and caring. The girls at the front desk are friendly. Thanks to Tracey, I actually had FUN picking out my new glasses. It was my first visit, but I will definitely be going back!!

I’m still upset however before reading the rest I will be honest and tell the public that the situation was corrected immediately and I got phone call that my insurance is updated and i can proceed wherever I wish with whomever. I am losing vision because of autoimmune disease and have to hold my head wired to see a little bit better and it may get even worse and I am awaiting surgery news from md to see if there is mercy in universe and being stuck in limbo is not where I wanted to be. I’m assuming it was different employee who answered phone than door last time as she was polite non rude. So I can say they take seriously complaints! Original post below... Was really disgusted with the receptions extremely bad manners. High and mighty, extremely rude. Girls would not even answer door. One was yammering to someone sitting at counter ignoring. Then finally someone answers because a lady masked came. (You handed out masks last time. And if you changed your policy to not hand out the employee answering phone an hour before should have mentioned policy change when i called to see if my stuff was ready for pick up.) I explained I forgot masks in car which two blocks away. Explained my surgery makes painful to walk asked to let masks go once more under circumstances. They said almost out and got attitude. Ok so you still had what was big deal? You gave to me so obviously had. Thwy let other lady in. They asked me what I was doing there. Then it made me wait outside even longer making up mind whether I could even have my prescription. Then someone else decided to let the golden masks go. I was dressed casual this time. Last time i was dressed nice and totally different attitude. Wow! As nyer I have to say you ladies are awful. They assumed there for appointment. Explained no for prescription. They then got my rx. And expected me to leave. They were extremely rude! I had to almost beg to even be allowed to put them in. It was a big fiasco to even use bathroom mirror to put them in. I even told the lady that was at door after me who got door answered before me they were so rude once they let me in. Seems she agreed. This staff was so rude and so rushing they didnt even care to collect the sample money for their employers who pay their paycheck. They lost their bosses money being jerks. They can pay from their paycheck since they were in hurry to get me out for mask cliqué and not being professional in any way what so ever. Not to forget to mention there was a lady in there chatting with no mask while I was waiting outside to get in. So not sure why the mask clique was being cliquey. I would think the owners would want to fire ill behaved staff that would chase off customers. Ill get prada frames somewhere else. Barneys staff wouldn't even behave this way. I doubt the girls behaving so rude rushing me out even know what Barneys is. I will never come to this place again. Especially since my vision problem was misdiagnosed on top of the foul behavior. I agree with person complaining about many trips for contacts plus sample and all time wasted. They only do that in canada fyi. It wouldnt be so bad if staff not so rude. They make the chore unbearable.

I like visiting going to Dr.Coben for my eye exam, I trust her regarding my eye health. She's very friendly and knowledgeable. However, the receptionists are not the friendliest, every time I go there for my appointment, they always seem to have an attitude and are in a bad mood. The receptionists need an improvement on how they interact with the patients.

The place follows an unethical business model. The place asked me for three appointments for a contact lens prescription over almost three months: One for the eye examination, the other for contact lens fitting, and the last for a follow-up. Even if they had the lens prescription available during my second visit, they refused to release the prescription while they handed out trials. The place declined to release the lens prescription until the third visit, perhaps hoping that you would order lenses from them, and trying to prevent you from purchasing contacts elsewhere with the prescription. The office ladies dared even to claim that the whole charade is a recommended practice by the Canadian Association of Optometrists. The doctor did not even bother to explain the prescription to me. Her final words were "We're done." Done profiteering did she mean. Sorry, tax-payers! I let this doctor bill our health system for three visits, my bad. I hope this place releases patient records immediately as they become available, and realize the customers will come back for an eye examination or other services if they think this place is trustworthy. Would you trust the doctors here?: One forcing you into booking an additional appointment without giving the prescription (information that the patient must know for his or her health), but handing out sample contact lenses, recommending a patient into trying those lenses without the patient's knowing anything about the prescription. I would rather trust another who releases the prescription, explains it in detail, and ask to contact him or her immediately when in need.

Been seeing Dr. Weninger for years very polite and personable. He likes to treat you like a friend then a patient. I have recommended him to several friends and all seem to enjoy him.

I visited The Eye Gallery for the first time recently for my annual eye exam. As soon as I walked in I loved how bright and beautiful it was inside. I was greeted by happy, friendly and upbeat people, which considering what the last year has been like, was absolutely refreshing!!! I seen Dr. Weninger and he spent lots of time with me and explained everything to me in terms I could understand. He has a great personality and sense of humour! Next up the staff helped me pick out a new set of glasses. I literally sat in the chair and they picked out multiple pairs for me to try on and spent a lot of time with me until we found the perfect pair. ( I might have to add that if that task had been left to me, I would have went home with something far less flattering ). Huge shout out to Brittney, Deena, Cindy & Mike. You all made me laugh and feel great!!! I will be back and will definitely refer to friends and family.
