Dr Kenton Fredlund was great. I won't go anywhere else! The receptionist was great as well, for when I booked my appointment she let me know that part of it wouldn't be covered under insurance and I would have to pay thirty to fourty depending on what was needed. Was nice that she let me know before hand so I would be exspecting it. Turned out I needed glasses so I was able to pick out a pair and the lady was great, I prefer glasses over contacts, but she showed me all the ones that would be covered and if I wanted something more (brands) that I would have to pay the difference. My mom also came here for years and she prefers contacts and not all contacts are covered if you want contacts then you have to pay, my mom always paid for hers, I was reading some of the reviews on here. But the staff and everyone was great no problems or wasn't at all rushed.

After a few great reviews I decided to go here for my eye exam. Do not go here if you're looking for a rushed experience or horrible customer service. It took them a month to get me my sample contacts which I was given the run around on, told they had been given to another customer or lost. Then on top of that, when going to get new glasses, my axis had changed significantly from what I've had in the last 5-10 years. When the place who has been doing my glasses for years called, not only was she not able to talk to the doctor herself to see if it was correct, she was treated rudely by the assistant to the dr on the phone. To top it off, they refused to give me the prescription for my contacts (obviously in order to purchase from them in the future ). Only the glasses prescription was emailed. Also the coverage for benefits vary with this place - I ended up having to shell out from pocket first before reimbursement which I wasn't told until after the appointment and they sold me new eye drops without telling me the cost as well (they're 40 dollars a bottle lasting maybe 2 months). The entire experience felt rushed and quick. Even the eye dr herself didn't spend any amount of time. I will be going back to my previous location as they always made me feel welcome and didn't upsell or lose my sample contact orders.

Super friendly service from all staff. They were right on time for my appointment and didn’t make we wait. They sent a gift card to the person who referred me to them and efficient and professional. I’m super glad I went there for my eye exam and am heading back there for my eyewear based on my initial experience with them.

This place had been a waste of money. The last straw was when the held my wife's prescription and forced us to pay $50 for them to release it to her. This was after we had paid for the exam. They told her to buy contacts and glasses from them or pay up! Well guess what, it was cheaper to pay the $50 and get her contacts and glasses elsewhere. Lost our business after that, never to return, and will lose more money than the $50 they charged. Her last pair of glasses from them were $900. And no, that is not a typo.

Had my glasses (not purchased from FYI) break randomly on a Friday night. Went in today (Saturday) and was so happy with the service I received, everyone was instantly willing to help and try to do everything they could to get my glasses asap. They ended up having my lenses in stock (that NEVER happens) and I was able to have a new pair of glasses within 30 minutes of choosing my frames. I've been to their 22nd street location as well and both times had a great experience! Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Couldn't be more happy! Thanks for making my weekend better FYI!

This is usually a bad experience. I’ve had new glasses from these folks that made it impossible for me to drive. 3-4 weeks for a contacts order. I have had prescriptions wrong multiple times. I had to plead with them to release my script. They don’t respond to email. Just telephone. I stuck with them for years!! Don’t be me and go elsewhere.

Carmen at FYidoctors/Atrium Eye clinic was soo great to work with! I’ve never had to buy glasses before and she went through probably a 100+ pairs trying to find a style that I liked. She was very patient with me as I hummed over two pairs for what seemed like forever and faced timed people and took countless pictures to get recommendations from friends and family. I've never had a person adjust my glasses to sit on my face nicely here. The fact that I as a customer who spent $800 on my glasses and knows how they feel on my face should know if they are comfortable. The girl basically told me they looked fine and I told her no they are sitting on the left side of my nose only and it hurts. She then started to bend the earpiece so it sat flush against my head behind my ear and I told her it wasnt comfortable and then she told me that's how they are suppose to sit (which I've never heard of before..so stupid!) and that she didn't know what else to do and theres nothing else she could do. The fact that I didnt want my earpiece adjusted and now the arms on my brand new glasses are bent, still wont sit straight on my nose. All I wanted was for them to sit evenly on both sides of my nose. If you dont know how to adjust glasses maybe you should go ask for help! That was my 3rd attempt going back to adjust them. Had the same issue with my pair of glasses before these. Never going back.

I have been a loyal customer of FYI for 5 years almost, despite they made mistakes on orders I still stayed with them and then twice this has happened in the last 4 years atleast that I was late to pick up my order and they put in my notes that I picked them up. Today the receptionist going by the notes made it sound like I am lieing and getting orders for free. I will not continue with them anymore as staff is unprofessional and makes bad notes with mistakes all the time.

Had bought two pairs of glasses over 2 weeks ago and had the pleasure of working with a very patient woman by the name of Jennifer I think. She was very good!! I ended up spending $1400 on glasses and prescription sunglasses. Initially when I picked them up I had not a great experience with the adjustments by the young gentleman, although he was very kind. Yesterday I had to go back in to have my glasses (both sets) readjusted as my sunglasses were falling off and my real glasses were so warped the one arm was loose and they were causing so much pain behind one ear yet falling off my face. I saw Katelyn and she was FABULOUS!! She ended up having to change out my frame it was so messed up and took the time to fit my sunglasses just right!! Thank you Katelyn!!! You are the best!!

I had gotten an eye exam earlier than my insurance covered because I was in need of a new prescription. I was in the process of getting fitted when covid caused the office to close. Understandible. Once opened it was up to me to make an appointment to finalize the fittings and then told that it would be two weeks. Two weeks went by and I was told it would be longer. After a call to management I was assured ups would be by same day with my glasses. That did not materialize and still no glasses. I would have thought that any glasses that are waiting to be shipped should be done by FedEx in order to give timely service. This is not acceptable when someone needs glasses for work, not just fashion. I will go somewhere where I can get timely service.

Went to Atrium on 1st.on June 3,2021 to buy a new pair of frames for my eye glasses.Carmen was the young lady who helped me,and she was amazing. She was so patient and knowledgeable,in total she must have picked and brought to me about 25+ pair. Very honest with her comments which I so appreciate. Also, took a lot of time making sure everything was perfect. Very great experience and Carmen is tops!!!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZ-ZA-ZING! not only was it my first time in there, it's saturday 30 mins before they close, i needed last minute coloured contacts and the staff were suuuuuper helpful! I’ve been to FYI to see Kerry Bishop a few times. Each time she’s made sure to take all the preventive measures to ensure my eye health. This is particularly important as I’ve got family genetics with horrible eye problems, including but not limited to; cornea transplants, lazy eye, PMD. On the service part of this review, Id like to make a special mention about Laurel, who helped me pick out the perfect set of glasses. With the amazing supply of stock, you’re far from limited at FYI Doctors at Atrium. With that being said, Laurels keen eye in choosing a frame that’s suitable and stylish exceeds par. Her own style proves that, and her ability to help others pick a good style to suit them is a great skill! Thanks Laurel and the team at FYI!
