Dr Karla Hillis is the finest doc out there, she was very patient , explained absolutely everything clearly and helped me with my queries. If you have absolutely any issue with your eye, Dr Karla should be your go to. 10/10 would recommend. Update :- December 16, 2021 Still the best.

I HIGHLY recommend this office to others! I travel about an hour to see them, even though there are other offices nearby, I will not be switching from Advance Eye Care. Their care here is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I leave my appointments feeling great about my visit. Dr. Reimer and Dr. Bokinac are excellent optometrists. What I really enjoy about my visits with them is they make it a positive experience with their care. As well as take time to address and discuss question and help you understand the process and the diagnosis. I see Dr. Reimer for my routine exams, and Dr. Bokinac has done an in depth assessment for me.

Dr. Sean Reimer saw me today on very short notice. We both washed our hands before the examination and everything was cleaned before I got there. He was very thorough in his eye examination and explained everything he was doing. This is my second time there and I will keep going back.

The ladys are rude, if your not a happy mom with your kids they look down on you just for needing to use first Nations assistance. They make you pay extra an then take 2 weeks to even approve anything. I've never had this kinda problem anywhere else. Drs are good but the lady who helps you pick out glasses was aweful at explaining things. I definitely will not be returning here

We had been there for the check up and needed glasses for my husband and my son (7YO). Well, I thought that they were doing good at the check-up but as soon as we went to another optometrist and also anopthalmologist for second opinion and soon realized that ADVANCE EYE CARE CENTER focusses only on upselling. The reason we have decided that we won't go there anymore nor we will recommend to anyone is because that they always want to upsell, even if it's not required. That means they don't show you the exact picture. For my husband, he went there for routine check-up to which they clearly said that your eyes are perfect and it's healthy. But still they wanted him to get an eye ultrasound done which wasn't even required if the eyes are healthy. For my son, I needed a detailed prescription like PD for his glasses( and we had got his eye test done as required by them) just to get an estimate from our insurance and also to compare. However, they simply denied DETAILED prescription, and also said if we need PD they will charge extra for that. Wherein, we had done the same procedure in two different places and they immediately helped up with whatever details we wanted. Therefore, definately not going back. To add to this, we had accepted their suggestion and booked for my son's vision therapy(cost $300) there (which I have cancelled now), as per the opthalmologist ( well known eye surgeon) with his scenario it's not applicable. So basically they not only lost $300 for few extra bucks, but a genuine and regular customer as well.

Not recommended. Too expensive. After paying for full check up, they charged $20 just to get the results printed. Why we are paying the fees for check up? To get the results of course. But as per them if you want your results, you need to pay another $20. I am not sure then why we are doing check up if we won’t get the results given to us for that check up. Upon asking why they are charging $20, they said our doctor has to type a lot for this. I did not understand here, if you are just typing it for me, then how would you keep the records in your system. Totally irrelevant charges, not happy at all. Just trying to steal the money with any reason. How would we order the glasses without those result numbers. Huh!!

The friendly reception begins before the actual appointment. -first is the initial phone call - pleasant conversation and great assistance -then arrival at office - friendly welcoming faces behind the desk -waiting room - feeling important and cared for by the simple gesture of a glass of water offered -Seeing the physician who is -Upbeat, knowledgable, willing to listen, and a good sport as small talk. -leaving the office with a sense that I mattered and "all is good".....

I was a client who had an annual checkup as I am a type 1 diabetic and SGI wanted a medical done as well. Turns out after all my tests I am charged $41. 15 min later I’m called to come back to the office as there was a billing issue after I left. Turns out that they couldn’t charge sask health because of the specialist I am seeing that this office referred me to can only charge sask health. So now I have to pay a total of $160 after being told sask health would cover the exam and if I was told up front i would not be covered I would have did the minimum for my SGI medical that needed to be covered not the rest of the exams that was claimed as “Sask Health” will cover. Honestly I don’t make a lot of cash and I have bills and loan payments that the $160 could of been spent on. Clearly the staff here have no idea of sask health policy that now affects me financially. If I could I would give a negative 5 star rating but that isn’t allowed. I recommend finding a eye care place that has better knowledge of there jobs. Weeks later: Sask health informs me that nothing has been billed for my eyes to them since 2016. Sask health says that the optometrist should have access to that by looking me up. Sask health states that the optometrist should have billed them for my diabetic eye exam as I am entitled to one every year. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OPTOMETRIST OFFICE FOR ANY WORK AS THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DEAL WITH SASK HEALTH.

Dr. Myles Bokinac came highly recommended to us by another mom - he’s awesome with kids, kind and professional. The entire staff here were really great, and made us feel very welcome. There’s a waiting area for kids with nice toys, which my toddler loved. The whole place is modern, clean, and inviting.

The team at Advance Eye Care is always professional and helpful. The service from Advance Eye Care is amazing. Every appointment I have had over the years have always been thorough and everyone there make sure you are taken care of.

I am a Diabetic and need to have a form completed every year for SGI. I checked into this prior to my appointment as The Province of Saskatchewan was supposed to cover the necessary tests for the form. Advanced Eye care recommended having additional tests completed at my appointment as they advised they were covered in my Provincial Coverage as a Diabetic. Advanced Eye Care first charged me $40 and I left. 15 min later on the drive home they called me back and told me that the Province was not able to cover this. They asked me to come all the way back to the clinic and I was told I needed to pay an additional $120. I expressed that it was not fair as many of the tests which amounted to the $160 were not necessary in the completion of my form for SGI. That was the sole purpose of my visit. The only reason I had the additional tests done were that they were recommendations that Advanced Eye Care stated were covered in the Annual Diabetic Eye Exam. I expressed how extremely displeased I was with this business, however they did nothing about it and did not resolve my situation. In the end I am out $160 for something unnecessary since they do not know how to do their jobs. I work extremely hard for my money as a young professional with student loans and $160 is quite a setback. This is a lesson learned to not go to Advanced Eye Care for anything. If I could rate this business 0 stars instead of 1 that would be more fitting.

Great optometrist but worst front desk staff ever. One even hung up on me. I was called to come and pickup my glasses. Only thing I was told is to inform them when I get there. This lady literally won't listen to me. She kept telling me they have to book an appointment again. On trying to explain to ther that I was called to come and pick them up before their closing time be 5pm she said no and hung up on me.
