I decided to take my daughter here to get her eyes checked as we usually go to McMasters but had issues trying to get her prescription . So I deicided to bring her here. It has been 7 months . After the First month I called them and asked what's going on. Secretary said she had to re fax McMasters ... We did get a letter from McMaster in February for an appointment in August ... I have yet to get any calls from this office to explain what is going on ... So unprofessional.

Dr Saari is a wonderful doctor. I went to see him because I had black floaters in my eyes & right away he sent me to get laser treatment for tears in my retina. I take my whole family to see him

We were taking our 4 year old son for his regular appointment, and we were 5 minutes late because hes only 4 years old had to pee just before we left. We told them this and it didnt matter. Since we were 5 minutes late, they wouldn't let us see the doctor and cancelled the appointment. I understand that this can happen with doctors appointments, but it was only 5 minutes, and there should be some accommodation for children. On top of this, the receptionist did not handle it well. I explained that they were going to lose two patients over this, my son, and myself, and she didn't seem to care. She just said, "Ok that's your choice", and made no attempt to retain us as patients.

Fantastic experience. Dr. Saari is extremely professional, and is very well informed. I can honestly say that I actually enjoyed the experience. Very cool to see all the gizmos and gadgets that he has. I had my appointment, was fitted for glasses and out the door within an hour. Front desk staff was very pleasant to deal with and answered all of questions with ease. Highly recommend!

I've been seeing Dr. Saari now for the past 4 years....since moving to the Niagara region. Never an issue with him or his staff. Professional. New location is clean, bright and equipped with up to date technology. I've already recommended him to friends, who see him as well .

So if i could rate them in the negatives I would. The Dr was great the 1x my husband and i seen him however the STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My husbands next appt was booked before we left he needed an annual check up due to an eye condition he has, the Dr i guess decided to book a vaca for the date my husbands appt was booked for. Not impressed about that. So they called and rescheduled his appt with plenty of notice so fortunately it did not interfere with our work schedules. However today Mon they called me at almost 4pm to cancel and reschedule his upcoming appt this fri because apparently the incompetent staff didnt bother looking at the file before rescheduling because he needs 2 more days till his appt is covered under OHIP. So of course I have turned down work this fri to drive him to this appt and they cancel with the opportunity for him to have his ANNUAL check up mid Oct, not quite Aug. But luckily we can be on a cancellation list that we may or may not be even contacted with enough notice for us to be able to change our lives around again for this eye Drs office. So when i call back to tell them im not impressed with this and that i think we are going to take our business elsewhere moving forward the staff was very rude to me and then hung up on me when i was in the middle of explaining why i didnt think this was right. My response to your B.S response: I was not abusive to the staff when i called back I was frustrated and was speaking sternly but was not abusive. And YES after i was hung up on and had to call back 3x before they decided to answer me again I did yell that im filing a complaint with the BBB swore and hung up. Nice try putting the blame on me. And I'm real sure if i hadnt of told your staff that i was filing a complaint with the BBB you would have never known to make a comment about what you were so called "offering me". I know there was no offer from the call to me to when i called back I was very rudely told from your ignorant staff that i was TOLD we would be put on the cancellation then hung up on me. Because being on your cancellation list was some sort of great solution. Obviously im not the 1st person to find your staff rude.
