I had a very hard time finding a surgeon comfortable & with experience for Asian eyelids. I was even thinking to fly back to Korea! I went to 3 consultations here & none of the surgeons was as thorough as Dr. Maleki. I ended up getting an upper blepharoplasty, but also ptosis repair which the other doctors didn’t mention at all (but it’s something I did want to fix). Day of surgery was very comfortable. Other than my wisdom teeth surgery, this was my second time as an adult going into an operating room. I also never had stitches done before. Dr. Maleki & the nurses made it a very comfortable experience from start to finish. I’m now a little over 2 weeks post-op, incision been healing quite well & I can’t wait to see the final result of my surgery!

From a very young age I had very large dark under eye bags. When I was in school my mom would constantly get calls from my teachers accusing her of not letting me get enough sleep. When I entered high school I became very good at applying makeup however due to the puffiness it would never be able to fully cover. When I turned 20 I finally decided to see someone. My plan was to see a few surgeons and pick the one I felt most comfortable with. Dr Maleki was the first surgeon I saw and after my consultation I was very confident I didn't have to see anyone else after all. During the surgery he made me feel very comfortable. I didn't experience much pain at all. I'm about 5 months post surgery and all i can say is it's the one of the best things i've ever done. I don't get the constant comments "you look so tired" anymore. Dr. Maleki literally changed my life. My confidence has gone up dramatically. If you're thinking of a similar procedure, don't look any further.. Dr Maleki is your guy!!!

In 1977 I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Over the next 5 years doctors monitored my thyroid levels. It bounced up and down. In 1983 my specialist recommended another dose of "radioactive iodine". I immediatley said "you cant, I've already had 2 doses in last 18 months. She went ahead. The results was left throyid gland was destroye and I was now diagnose with "Graves Disease" for life. For next 10 years my eyes were very large an protruding at which time I investigated getting "skin added" to the eyelids. The Specialist recommended I hold off because as I got my lids would slowly start to drop and I would then be back getting skin removed. In 2010 I notice that my vision with glasses was not as it should be wearing a Rx lenses. From 2010 until 2015 I started to notice my vision decrease. I investigate "cataracts"but was told still too young. Finally in 2017 I started to "pull up the lids" to see if my vision was better> Load and behold...it was. My physican referrred me to Dr Maleki. Dr Maleki did his examination, very thorough and stated that I did have "Ptosis" and my vision was impeded by the "Ptosis". At same time he explained how the "bags" under my eyes was also caused by the "Graves Disease" and that do both top and bottom would take my eyelids back to my earlier years. OHIP covered the top llids. I paid for the bottom lids/bags. I opted to wait a 6 months as I was leaving for winter vacation but did book my surgery for summer 2019. No needles. Lovely smoothing cream to freeze the area. I was awake the whole time. Dr. Maleki, his murse and myself had great conversation about the music playlist. The whole experience was just so smooth. Dr Maleki and his staff were so friendly, helpful and stree free. I just believe how easy the whole procedure was. I didnt feel a thing. Not once during the whole procedure. Very little pain after - I think I took 2 tylenol over 3 days. Many friends have asked what happend to me. Some family said "I look 10 years younger". I do notice that the pressure I felt on my sinus has disappeared - maybe due to "bags" under eyes gone...all that fat....gone. Another medical professional I know who also suffers from Ptosis asked me many questions and her physican has now referred her to Dr. Maleki. Dr Maleki, your are amazing. Your were given the gentleless hands and sharpest vision to perform amazing surgery's. My confidence level is back...I'm over the Moon. I can drive and read without any struggle to see. I can go up and down stairs without looking down or holding on to the rail. There was no pressure from Dr. Maleki. He was very kind and clear in explaining everything from the very first consultation thru the surgery and recovery. He gave me back my life at age 65. Thank You Dr Maleki

I got tear trough fillers at a different clinic in 2019 and experienced many unfortunate complications. I tried to get a second opinion and it seemed that no one knew what I needed. Dr. Maleki is one of the best specialists I have ever visited. On your first visit he does a thorough eye exam.He takes the time to listen to patients and answers every questions. I often with a lot of doctors feel rushed and walk out of the office feeling I still have many questions. Dr. Maleki spends time to truly understand concerns of patients and answers questions with so much care and knowledge. Truly lucky to have him as my doctor and I highly recommend him. His level of care and knowledge is admirable.

I had an amazing experience with Dr Maleki. He performed upper and lower blepharoplasty (I’m in my mid 20s). I am extremely sensitive and squeamish when it comes to any type of medical procedure and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The procedure itself was painless and he even let me pick what kind of music to listen to during :) I’ve gained a lot of confidence since the prodecude and highly recommend even just a consult with him.

Other then the doctor they should revisit every thing else. Please know the importance of time and specially when you are giving appointments for 2-3 months. 1. No one ever answer the call. 2. Appointments delayed for 3 hours. 3. If you have appointment for 10am you should come at 1pm still you might have to wait for an hour or so.

I had a lower lid retraction, canthoplasty and canthoplexy. From the consultation to the surgery and the follow up went perfect. His staff is really courteous and polite. The results were better than I expected, only thing is I wish I would have known about them 10 years earlier. Tysm.

I had Ptosis repair and lid crease formation with Dr last week . I’m only 8 days post op today and can already see a huge difference. He did ptosis with internal stitches so it’s completely scarless . I waited 6 months for his initial appointment because I wanted to go with the best . I’m so happy that I went with him My eyes look so symmetrical. I always had a slight droop in my left eye that made my face look unsymmetrical. My only regret is I didn’t see him earlier . I went in for a consultation with Dr. Babak Maleki for an upper blepharoplasty. It went well and I was happy with the information provided. He was patient with and answered all my questions. The only thing that concerned me was time. My consultation was rescheduled 3 times and when I arrived, my appointment started about 60 minutes after the scheduled time. With a consultation, it's not a problem. But I am concerned about whether Dr. Maleki is taking his time in the operating room. I would rather pay more money, then for him to be feeling rushed. I'm not sure if I will move forward with surgery, but the consultation was an okay and overall good experience.

After a few months of research, I was recommended to Dr. Maleki for treatment of under eye dark circles - something that had been bothering me since I was a teenager. From my initial consultation Dr. Maleki was very knowledgeable and he explained thoroughly/answered all my questions regarding a lower lid blepharoplasty. On procedure day I was feeling about anxious but Dr. Maleki and his staff helped me feel very relaxed and helped me shake my nerves. For years, I’ve had an insecurity about the asymmetry in my eyes and had wanted this corrected, as well as have the excess skin removed that was causing some hooding. After doing some research online, I finally decided to book a consult with Dr. Maleki to go over my options. After meeting with him and seeing some of his past work, I decided to proceed with the Upper Blepharoplasty. It’s been nearly 3 months since my surgery, and I am very content with the results. I was fearful that people would notice that I’d had them done, but Dr. Maleki did just enough to open them up but ensure that the results were tasteful and natural. They’re still settling in, but I am glad that I went through with the procedure and with my decision to go with him. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who was looking to have this done.

I called the office because I used to see Maleki when he had his clinic in Hamilton, as I had been diagnosed with severe dry eyes/meibomian gland dysfunction. I was told I would have to use eyedrops long term and I would be taking them for a few years. Either way, I needed another prescription of eye drops, so I called the office to notify them. When they heard I was a patient from Hamilton, I was immediately told, "He won't give you more eye drops, it's been too long since you seen Maleki, you need to go to your doctor. I'm sorry." Which is fine. I completely understand where you are coming from. But this is where I am frustrated.....It was unprofessional because; firstly, my name wasn't looked up. My condition wasn't looked up. Nor was I even offered to come in for an appointment to see Maleki. If I was offered to come in to see him, I would've loved to! Driving to Toronto is a small price to pay for the health of my eyes (especially considering I am moving there next month). Either way, I feel the front desk was making decision for the doctor; and running a clinic myself, maybe I am impartial. Either way, unless one is looking for cosmetic's to seemingly increase their self-esteem. I can't otherwise justify going to this clinic.
