I have been a patient for 5-6 years now. I was a little worried when I heard Dr Sheldon was retiring as he was very thorough and took his time to explain everything really well in layman’s terms. But I saw Dr Amos after Dr Sheldon retired and I was relieved as he was similar and is also quite good with explaining everything. Overall, the staff, from reception to the technicians, are very helpful and take their time to help you with everything. They have also been great with on-going support, like if you damage your frames or need to switch contacts, etc.

Doctor Amos was great. Very warm and informative throughout the whole eye exam process. Would definitely recommend him. Only downside was he was 30 mins late for my appointment. Receptionist just told me it happens. A little more apology would have made that better.

Dr. Amos has been my optometrist for the last 10+years. He is very kind & knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around, I always look forward to my eye exam. Even during the pandemic I felt very comfortable visiting his clinic.

I visited Dr. Amos for an eye exam. He was recommended to me. IN SHORT: Dr. Amos was impatient and as a result poorly executed the eye-examination procedures and equipment at his disposal. I was given a prescription that was nearly 2 times what two other optometrists prescribed. Unfortunately, I wore his inaccurate prescription for 8 months, which I suspect has lasting implications. DETAILS: This was my first eye exam ever, as I did not wear glasses at the time. Using eye charts I tested 20/20 vision, but I felt my eyes would fatigue throughout the day. During the exam, I felt Amos was rushed. He did not explain what he was doing, or why it was happening (it was my first exam, so I was curious). He quickly tested each corrective lens without being able to clearly identify which strength worked best for me, and proceeded to prescribe a +3.25 and +2.75 anyway. Before rushing me out of his office to get me to buy glasses from his store, I felt I had to stop him to ask a couple of questions. I just didn’t feel ready to buy glasses since it all happened so fast. He answered a question then he went on a rant about how contact lenses are bad and shouldn’t be used. I did not ask about contact lenses so I found this quite strange. I’ve also never heard that contacts are inferior to glasses. But I’m not an optometrist/opthamologist, so I don't know.. I wore glasses at his prescribed strength for 8 months. After a while I decided it was not the right strength and went to two other professionals check the prescription. They both tested +1.75 for each eye. As a result of Amos’s impatience, I was wearing glasses that were 185% of the strength I needed to see properly. Additionally, the prescription was a different strength for each eye, which adds its own complication. To say the least, this was an aggressive prescription. When discussed with the other optometrists, they said it was common practice with first time glass-wearers to err on the side of under-prescribing (with equal prescriptions in each eye) then move up as the client feels comfortable. To avoid bias, I did not tell these other optometrists that I had a previous prescription before seeing them. I feel this negative experience has nothing to do with Amos’s knowledge, but with his temperament: Maybe I just got him on a bad day. But because he did win my trust, I couldn't go back to him to do a free retest, which many optometrists do if they mess up the prescription. So I had to stomach costs for re-tests from other optometrists. Overall the examination cost me his fees, plus over $170 in re-tests, personal time to get those tests done, and damage to my eyes.

Having not had an eye exam since I was 16, I was understandably nervous recently about having to visit an eye doctor at age 50 due to a sudden and painful condition. Having no optometrist of my own, I randomly selected Dr. Terzievski from a list of local optometrists in my area that I was able to easily and quickly get an appointment. Boy, did I get lucky! Dr. Terzievski is simply everything you could want in a doctor. She is respectful, kind, knowledgable, and friendly. She recognized my nerves and took the time to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease in an un-hurried, and compassionate manner that was a genuine reflection of her caring "bedside manner." Naturally most doctors are knowledgeable and well-educated, but not as many are respectful and genuinely friendly as well. As a patient you could feel that she actually cared about the best treatment for you and wanted to do what's best, while at the same time making you feel relaxed, and in more than capable hands. Highest recommendation!

Overall a fantastic experience. I came in after a long day at work expecting to get a quick, rushed visit but Dr. Amos was thorough in his assessment, very polite and informative. I learned a lot about what he looks for during each of his tests and he was able to accommodate my many questions and requests. I don't really like going to any doctor, because I find a lot of them to be detached and disingenuous - Dr. Amos was courteous and sincere in his service to me. I would HIGHLY recommend him to everyone.

I’ve been seeing Dr Amos for a long time. He is always on time and professional. I have a more complex situation and his diagnostic skills are always correct.

Poor customer service I needed to update my prescription glasses and looked up online the nearest optometrist with out reading their reviews unfortunately. I went to my appointment on time the door is locked and need to ring bell per Covid protocols; the rude Asian receptionist came out angry yelling at me saying "you are early", so I showed her the time on my phone 12:15 which is my appt. She said " I was on the phone give me few minutes" as if this is my fault for ringing the bell while she is on the phone. Now for the Dr. she seemed to be ok except that she pushed for a retina digital scan which I did not really need and never done before during previous optometry exams; Dr. Natasha explanation for why I needed this test was "I always do this for my patients" . I updated this review after Dr. Amos called me and explained that all their eye exams include retina scan and there is no additional cost for that exam it is already included. For some reason my insurance did not cover the full cost of the eye exam that where the extra charge came from.

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Amos for over 10 years, he has always extremely friendly and more then happy to explain and take the time to discuss anything you have in question. Even when I was a child I looked forward to coming in due to the experience being fun an never felt like a “doctors appointment”.

Dr. Terzievski Is hands down the best optometrist I’ve dealt with. She was concerned over an issue and sent me to a specialist. She followed up by phone on a weekly basis. This sort of customer service is a rarity these days. I highly recommend this business! I was not asked to write this review- I just know how difficult it is to find great service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Amos for a number of years and have the utmost respect for him and his practice. I had transferred to Dr. Amos on the advice of my family physician and was thoroughly impressed with the detail and efficiency with which he examined my eyes. Previously I was with an ophthalmologist and found that my waits were long and my examinations rushed. After transferring to Dr. Amos my appointments were on-time, and I had every opportunity to verify the options given to me during the examination. Furthermore, at no point prior to seeing Dr. Amos did I ever have my retinas checked and thanks to his astute examination of my retinas I probably avoided a situation where they may have detached due to the holes he discovered. Thankfully he referred me to an excellent specialist that was able to fix them. On another occasion he helped me to understand why my eyes were red and blood shot due to my contact lenses not allowing my eyes to breath and provided a treatment regimen that helped be to once again wear contact lenses without any issues. I have since referred the rest of my family to him and we are all impressed with his professionalism and how he deals with both of our children explaining to them what he is doing in terms they can understand.

Hi Adam, Thank you for taking the time to provide me with your feedback. It is through feedback like yours that I can improve my services. Sincerely, Dr. Perry Amos

I have been seeing Dr. Amos for years and have always had great experiences. Most recently Dr. Amos helped me order my contacts online during the pandemic. I visited the office for an eye exam once it re-opened and had another pleasant experience. He and his staff made me feel safety was a top priority. Furthermore he assisted me in returning a box of contacts i had ordered a month prior since my prescription had changed and i no longer had use for the box I had purchased. I also met Dr. Terzievski for this first time on this visit and she helped me find the perfect pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses - which I now consider one of my pandemic staples.
