Call ahead before going in because they close when “going for lunch” and they don’t update the hours online sadly. Went in on a Friday after work only to find out they’re closed from Friday till Tuesday! It said online they’re open until 6pm but nope. Also I tried just buying frames but they wouldn’t let me because “I didn’t have my eyes tested recently” so they didn’t even let me buy a pair

This store is great, personally i think it’s the best glasses store on the north shore! Don’t be scared by the retro-looking website, the selection of frames is extremely modern and fashionable. They really had the perfect mix of every type of style, unlike most stores which are either too boring or too trendy and bizarre. The prices are also good, they’re not a discount store but theyre slightly cheaper than the nearby competition, so I was actually able to get my new glasses fully covered by insurance, which I usually can’t do at other stores. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Overall I definitely recommend coming here first if you’re looking for new glasses.

Dr Boychuk is just AMAZING! She is very kind and patient. Kimia and Amanda are very nice too and they helped me to find the perfect glasses.

Dr. Boychuk made time to see me on short notice to examine a time-sensitive eye issue. While I was there, I got my eyes checked and ordered new glasses. I also picked up a nice set of sunglasses for summer. Everything was perfect ! Very professional service, a comfortable clinic and lots of parking.

My wife and I did our eye exams here. We both were clearly aware that my vision is better than hers, just simply by looking at the same text from same distance. But when I saw the results of our reading glasses, I found out my numbers are higher! I questioned the result over the phone and all I got back was that my eyes are very good considering my age! Well, that would not justify the comparison result. We both went to another guy that we used to see before (paying from our own pocket, as insurance would not care if the first vision exam result is ridiculous) and the outcome was as expected; using reading glasses are not a must for me yet!

I love this Optometrist for major and minor reasons. Major: I had a very serious and sudden eye condition and she quickly connected me to the right specialist. She got me an immediate, that day appointment with a hard-to-access specialist and provided continued care right to the end of my treatment with him. She went above and beyond what I would expect and during a time that I felt at my worst with an inexplicable and rare eye condition. Minor (by comparison): Since then, I have also appreciated her help finding glasses that actually suit my face (I’m not good at that sort of thing). As an added bonus, she sometimes gives me free sample lenses so I can see if some of the latest ones are better than the brand I tend to stick to. Way better than pressure to buy and helpful as my eyes have been changing with age. I trust Dr. Boychuk implicitly both in her level of competence and in her really caring for my well-being. Grateful for person over profit at this clinic.
